Claims (10)
- 2つの電極及びセパレーターを含んでなる電極組立体、前記電極組立体及び電解質を収容する缶、前記缶の開口部を覆うキャッププレートを含むキャップ組立体を備えてなるベアセルと、
前記キャップ組立体の電極端子に一の端子が電気的に直接接続された保護回路基板と、
前記保護回路基板の他の端子と前記キャッププレートとを電気的に接続するように設けられた電流遮断装置と、を有し、
前記電流遮断装置は、下部端子と、上部端子と、これら両端子間に設けられ温度により両端子間の電流を遮断する作用部とを重積した扁平構造とし、前記下部端子は前記キャッププレートと電気的に直接接続され、前記上部端子は前記保護回路基板の他の端子と電気的に直接接続されていることを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記電流遮断装置は、PTC、または、バイメタルスイッチ方式のブレーカーであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極端子は、前記キャッププレートの長手方向の中央から一の側方に偏って位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極端子は、前記キャッププレートの中央を中心として前記電流遮断装置と対称的な位置に形成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記上部端子、または前記電極端子の少なくとも上端部分は、ニッケルまたはニッケル合金からなるか、または、別のニッケルまたはニッケル合金プレートが設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記下部端子は、アルミニウムからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記下部端子は、前記上部端子および前記作用部に比べて、前記キャッププレートの長手方向に大きく形成されており、当該大きく形成されている部分が溶接のためのターミナルとなることを特徴とする請求項1または6に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断装置の前記上部端子は、前記下部端子に比べて厚く形成されることを特徴とする請求項1または5に記載の二次電池。
- 前記ベアセルと前記保護回路基板との間には、ホットメルト樹脂が満たされてモールディングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記キャッププレートには、少なくとも一つの突出部が形成され、前記突出部には、ホルダーが結合されて、前記キャッププレート面の上に突出することを特徴とする請求項1または9に記載の二次電池。
