上記従来の脱臭装置は、便座装置本体の大きさの制約により、脱臭カートリッジのサイズが小さく、充分な脱臭が行えないと言う課題を有していた。一般に、家庭内でのトイレ空間は、非常に狭いものであり、便器に設置するトイレ洗浄装置もその狭い空間の中で、できる限りコンパクトで要求される性能の高いものが求められている。

本発明は上記課題を解決するために、便器の上に設置した便座と、便器内面を洗浄する洗浄水を蓄える貯水タンクと、前記貯水タンクを覆う外装ケースと、前記貯水タンクの側面で且つ前記外装ケースの内部に脱臭剤を配設した脱臭部とを備え、前記脱臭部は、便器内部後方に吸気口を有するダクトと、前記脱臭剤と、前記脱臭剤を覆う脱臭カバーと、前記脱臭剤の排気側に配設された吸気手段とで構成され、前記脱臭カバーと前記ダクトとの連結部の開口が前記脱臭剤の吸気面に向かって広がりはじめる部分にフィルターを配設したものである。
