Description
内燃機関は、ピストンのコネクティングロッドによって駆動されるクランクシャフトと、シリンダの吸気バルブまたは排気バルブを駆動する一つまたはそれ以上のカムシャフトとを備えている。カムシャフト上のタイミングスプロケット(またはプーリ、ギヤ)は、チェーン(またはベルト、ギヤ)などのタイミング駆動装置を介してクランクシャフトに連結されている。

Claims (5)
- 少なくとも一つのカムシャフトを有する内燃機関のための可変カムタイミング位相器において、
駆動力を受け入れる外周部を有するハウジングと、
ハウジング内に同軸に配置されたカムシャフトに連結されるロータと、
ロータの穴にスライド可能に設けられ、複数のランドを有するスプールを備えたスプールバルブと、
リターン通路内に設けられた単一の再循環チェックバルブとを備え、
ハウジングおよびロータが、複数のチャンバを分割する少なくとも一つのベーンを限定しており、少なくとも一つのチャンバがアドバンスチャンバであり、他のチャンバがリタードチャンバであり、ベーンが、ハウジングおよびロータの相対的角度位置を変更するように回転可能になっており、
スプールがアドバンス位置からホールド位置を通ってリタード位置までスライド可能になっており、スプールバルブが、アドバンスチャンバおよびリタードチャンバまで作動流体を送出するためのアドバンスエグゾースト通路、リタードエグゾースト通路およびリターン通路を有しており、アドバンスエグゾースト通路およびリタードエグゾースト通路がリターン通路に連結されており、
スプールがリタード位置におかれているとき、作動流体の流れがアドバンスチャンバからアドバンスエグゾースト通路を通ってリターン通路にのみ流れるとともに、スプールがアドバンス位置におかれているとき、作動流体の流れがリタードチャンバからリタードエグゾースト通路を通ってリターン通路にのみ流れるように、再循環チェックバルブが配置されている、
ことを特徴とする可変カムタイミング位相器。 - 請求項1において、

アドバンスチャンバおよびリタードチャンバの導入ラインに連結された各供給通路にチェックバルブをさらに備えている、
