Description
チュエータの作動量に応じた変化量で変更する可変バルブタイミング機構の制御装置であって、アイドル目標回転数設定部と、位相制限部とを備える。可変バルブタイミング機構は、開閉タイミングを変更可能な制御範囲が第1および第2の領域を含み、かつ、開閉タイミングが第1の領域にある場合におけるアクチュエータの作動量に対する開閉タイミングの変化量の比率が、開閉タイミングが第2の領域にある場合における比率よりも小さくなるように構成される。アイドル目標回転数設定部は、車両状態に応じて、アイドル運転時における内燃機関の目標回転数を可変に設定する。位相制限部は、アイドル目標回転数設定部により設定された目標回転数が所定回転数より低いときに、可変バルブタイミング機構による開閉タイミングの変化範囲を第1の領域内に制限する。
このような構成とすることにより、内燃機関の間欠運転が行なわれる頻度の高いハイブリッド自動車において、エンジン始動時の減圧制御のために設定される遅角側のバルブ位相、すなわち、エンジン停止時のバルブ位相目標値を、減速比の大きい領域内に設定することができる。
エンジン1000は、「A」バンク1010と「B」バンク1012とに、それぞれ4つの気筒(シリンダ)からなる気筒群が設けられたV型8気筒エンジンである。なお、V型8気筒以外の形式のエンジンを用いるようにしてもよい。
したがって、バルブ位相検出部152は、(1)式に従って算出される位相変化量Δθの積算によっても、現在のバルブ位相CAを検出することができる。

- 内燃機関に設けられたインテークバルブおよびエキゾーストバルブの少なくとも一方のバルブの開閉タイミングをアクチュエータの作動量に応じた変化量で変更する可変バルブタイミング機構の制御装置であって、
前記可変バルブタイミング機構は、前記開閉タイミングを変更可能な制御範囲が第1および第2の領域を含み、かつ、前記開閉タイミングが前記第1の領域にある場合における前記アクチュエータの作動量に対する前記開閉タイミングの変化量の比率が、前記開閉タイミングが前記第2の領域にある場合における前記比率よりも小さくなるように構成され、

- 前記内燃機関は、前記内燃機関の駆動力を用いて走行する第1のモードおよび前記内燃
機関が停止した状態で前記内燃機関とは異なる駆動源の駆動力を用いて走行する第2のモードを選択可能な車両に搭載される、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構の制御装置。 - 前記第1の領域は、前記第2の領域よりも遅角側に設けられる、請求項4に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構の制御装置。
- 前記アクチュエータは電動機で構成され、かつ、前記アクチュエータの作動量は、前記開閉タイミングが変更されるバルブを駆動するカムシャフトに対する前記電動機の相対的な回転数差である、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構の制御装置。
- 内燃機関に設けられたインテークバルブおよびエキゾーストバルブの少なくとも一方のバルブの開閉タイミングをアクチュエータの作動量に応じた変化量で変更する可変バルブタイミング機構の制御方法であって、
前記可変バルブタイミング機構は、前記開閉タイミングを変更可能な制御範囲が第1および第2の領域を含み、かつ、前記開閉タイミングが前記第1の領域にある場合における前記アクチュエータの作動量に対する前記開閉タイミングの変化量の比率が、前記開閉タイミングが前記第2の領域にある場合における前記比率よりも小さくなるように構成され、
前記制御方法は、
車両状態に応じて、アイドル運転時における前記内燃機関の目標回転数を可変に設定するステップと、
前記アイドル運転時に前記内燃機関の目標回転数が所定回転数より低いときに、前記目標回転数が前記所定回転数以上のときには非実行とされる、前記可変バルブタイミング機構による前記開閉タイミングの変化範囲の前記第1の領域内への制限を実行するステップとを備える、可変バルブタイミング機構の制御方法。 - 前記内燃機関は、前記内燃機関の駆動力を用いて走行する第1のモードおよび前記内燃機関が停止した状態で前記内燃機関とは異なる駆動源の駆動力を用いて走行する第2のモードを選択可能な車両に搭載される、請求項7に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構の制御方法。
- 前記アクチュエータは電動機で構成され、かつ、前記アクチュエータの作動量は、前記開閉タイミングが変更されるバルブを駆動するカムシャフトに対する前記電動機の相対的な回転数差である、請求項7または8に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構の制御方法。
