Description
The present invention provides reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, gas separation, etc. for various fluids used in the electronics industry, food industry, beverage industry, pharmaceutical industry, fermentation industry, optical industry, medicine, precision industry, etc. The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a separation membrane module that is suitable for fluid processing using various separation membranes, and particularly suitable for a humidifier that supplies moisture to a space such as a room.
In recent years, moisture permeable materials such as urethane resins and fluorine ion exchange resins that have begun to be used in humidifiers have a feature that dimensional change due to water swelling is large due to their high moisture permeability. In general, in a membrane module made of such a material, a bundle of membranes in which a plurality of tubular or hollow fiber-like separation membranes are converged is loaded into a module case, and a potting material is injected into the end portion of the membrane bundle. After being cured, the potting part is manufactured by cutting the end part together with the separation membrane and opening the end part. In this manufacturing process, the potting material penetrates between individual separation membranes or between the membrane bundle and the module case, and is integrated by curing.
As shown in FIG. 17, the
For example, in the hollow fiber membrane module described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-229225 (Patent Document 1), a hollow fiber bundle in which a plurality of hollow fiber membranes are converged is opened with the potting material in the state where the end portion is opened. A hollow fiber membrane module fixed inside, characterized in that an elastic stress relaxation member is provided at a location including the edge of the portion fixed by the potting material on the surface of the hollow fiber bundle. In addition, the hollow fiber membrane located at the outermost periphery of the hollow fiber bundle is prevented from concentrating the stress of hardening contraction of the potting material to prevent leakage.
However, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-229225 (Patent Document 1), since the stress relaxation member is included in the potting material, it becomes unnecessary after the curing shrinkage is finished and the resin is in a stable state. Moreover, in order to fix a relaxation member to the outermost periphery of a hollow fiber bundle, a special technique is needed, and a man-hour increases and it becomes costly. Moreover, it is not suitable for a module case having a square shape. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-229225 (Patent Document 1) and Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 4-349923 (Patent Document 2) prevent leakage due to interface peeling between the fixing member and the outer surface of the hollow fiber membrane focusing body. In reality, the residual stress is not sufficiently relaxed and has not yet been solved.
The present invention has been developed as a result of earnest research in view of the above-mentioned problems, and the object of the present invention is to reliably relieve the reaction force associated with the solidification shrinkage of the potting material, resulting from residual stress. The present invention is to provide a separation membrane module and a method for manufacturing the same, which realize excellent fixing without causing a peeling phenomenon and sufficiently exhibit its function over a long period of time.
In order to achieve the above object, the invention according to claim 1 forms a membrane bundle in which one or a plurality of separation membranes are bundled into a square cross section , and at least one end portion of the separation membrane bundle is formed on the separation membrane bundle. A method of manufacturing a separation membrane module that is fixed in a module case with a potting material in an open state, wherein an annular groove forming jig is formed in a square cross-sectional shape, and the groove forming jig is formed into a square cross-sectional shape of the same shape. Insert the separation membrane bundle between the inner peripheral surface of the module case and the outermost peripheral surface of the separation membrane bundle having the same cross-sectional angular shape, and then fill the module case with a potting material to form the separation membrane bundle. After fixing, the groove forming jig is removed, and a cross-sectional square shape is formed on the separation membrane side between the outermost peripheral surface of the separation membrane bundle and the inner peripheral surface of the module case to relieve the reaction force accompanying the solidification shrinkage of the potting material. exhibits to form the annular groove, To a method for producing a separation membrane module for producing a separation membrane module profile angle shape by step of cutting the ends of the cured potting portion is opened separation membrane bundle.
The invention according to
According to the first aspect of the present invention, it is possible to surely relieve the reaction force caused by the solidification and shrinkage of the potting portion that occurs during potting, and the potting portion, module case, it is possible to provide delamination of the bonding surface of the minute separation membrane module having improved. Therefore it without being affected to differences in properties such as expansion or shrinkage between the separation membrane and the potting material, can be maintained over the superior stuck in long, for example, permeability and urethane resin tube as the separation membrane module made of wet material, even when provided such the humidifier, not to cause the problem, as a humidifier, and bring out the effects of sufficiently exhibit its performance, in particular, a box-type When used in a shaped device, the degree of integration of the module case is high and the utility value is extremely high.
In addition , it is possible to reliably relieve the reaction force caused by the solidification and shrinkage of potting material that occurs during potting. A method for manufacturing a membrane module is realized, and the manufacturing method of the present invention can be provided as a method for manufacturing a separation membrane module that does not require complicated steps and is excellent in workability and economy. .
Furthermore , even when performing both-end potting, it is not necessary to go through complicated processes, ensuring excellent workability, and ensuring safety without damaging the separation membrane module when attaching and removing jigs. Can be manufactured.
A preferred embodiment of a separation membrane module and a manufacturing method thereof according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a cylindrical separation membrane module according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a separation membrane module having a square shape according to the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB in FIG. In the figure, 1 is a separation membrane module, 2 in the figure is a tube-shaped separation membrane, and 3 in the figure is a separation membrane bundle formed by converging a plurality of
In the figure,
In this example, the
In the figure, 7 is a groove formed in the potting
Fig.5 (a) is principal part sectional drawing which showed the other example of the separation membrane module in this invention, FIG.5 (b) is CC sectional view taken on the line in Fig.5 (a). As shown in the figure, the
FIG. 6A is a cross-sectional view of a main part showing still another example of the separation membrane module according to the present invention, and FIG. 6B is a cross-sectional view taken along the line DD in FIG. When the cross-sectional area of the portion solidified by the potting material is large, that is, when the volume of the
The
FIG. 7 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the main part showing still another example of the separation membrane module according to the present invention. As shown in FIG. 7, the
Next, the manufacturing method of the separation membrane module in this invention is demonstrated. First, the first embodiment will be described. FIG. 8 is a process explanatory view showing a method of manufacturing a separation membrane module in the present invention. Moreover, Fig.9 (a) is a top view of the jig | tool used with the manufacturing method of the separation membrane module in this invention, FIG.9 (b) is sectional drawing of the jig | tool shown to Fig.9 (a). . The manufacturing method will be described by taking a rectangular separation membrane module as an example, but it is needless to say that the present invention can also be applied to a cylindrical separation membrane module. In the figure, 9 is a jig (hereinafter referred to as a groove forming jig) for forming a
When the
Next, as shown in FIG. 8B, a potting material is injected into the
After the potting material is cured, as shown in FIG. 8C, the
Next, as shown in FIG. 8D, the end portion of the
Next, a 2nd form is demonstrated. FIG. 10 is a partially omitted cross-sectional view showing another example of the method for manufacturing a separation membrane module according to the present invention. Moreover, Fig.11 (a) is a top view of the jig | tool used with the manufacturing method of the separation membrane module in this invention, FIG.11 (b) is sectional drawing of the jig | tool shown to Fig.11 (a). . In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the same member as the 1st form mentioned above, and the description is abbreviate | omitted. In the figure,
As in the first embodiment, when the
Next, a potting material is injected into the
After the potting material is cured, the
Next, the end portions of the
Next, a 3rd form is demonstrated. In this embodiment, the steps before potting are the same as those in the first (second) embodiment, and the description thereof is omitted. Therefore, the
Since the process after the potting material is hardened is the same as the first (second) form described above, the description thereof is omitted. The manufacturing method of the separation membrane module in this embodiment can be applied to both one-end potting and both-end potting.
12A is a plan view showing another example of the groove forming jig, and FIG. 12B is a cross-sectional view of the jig shown in FIG. A constraining
In addition to the square shape used in the above embodiment, the groove portion forming jig 9 (14, 16) has a V shape, U shape, or trapezoid shape. By using the tool, the
