よって、導波路型分光器2の積層方向に対する垂直方向(Z軸方向)に対してθ2の角度をなすように導波路型分光器2を配置することによって、自由空間を伝搬する光ビームをZ軸方向に対して平行光とすることができる。

Claims (15)
- 波長多重された光信号を波長毎に分光し出力するための導波路型波長選択スイッチにおいて、
入力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器を少なくとも1枚及び出力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器を少なくとも2枚厚さ方向に積層してなる導波路型分光器積層体と、上記入力用光ファイバから入射し上記入力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器から出射された光を一軸方向に集光するための1枚からなる第1レンズと、該第1レンズの集光方向と直交する方向に上記第1レンズから出射された光を集光するための第2レンズと、該第2レンズから出射された光を上記第2レンズ、上記第1レンズを介して上記出力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器に入射させるための光位相変調セルとを順次配置したことを特徴とする導波路型波長選択スイッチ。 - 積層された導波路型分光器は、透明な光学接着剤によって互いに接着されている請求項1記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 波長多重された光信号を波長毎に分光し出力するための導波路型波長選択スイッチにおいて、
入力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器を少なくとも1枚及び出力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器を少なくとも2枚厚さ方向に積層してなる導波路型分光器積層体と、該導波路型分光器積層体の厚さ方向に積層され波長毎に分光されて出力される光の波長とパワーをモニタするモニタ用の出力端を有する導波路型光カップラ回路と、上記入力用光ファイバから入射し上記入力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器から出射された光を一軸方向に集光するための1枚からなる第1レンズと、該第1レンズの集光方向と直交する方向に上記第1レンズから出射された光を集光する第2レンズと、該第2レンズから出射された光を上記第2レンズ、上記第1レンズを介して上記出力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器及び上記導波路型光カップラ回路に入射させるための光位相変調セルとを順次配置したことを特徴とする導波路型波長選択スイッチ。 - 積層された導波路型分光器、及び導波路型分光器と導波路型光カップラ回路は、透明な光学接着剤によって互いに接着されている請求項3記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記導波路型光カップラ回路は、スラブ導波路と、該スラブ導波路から分波される波長数以上の出力用導波路とからなることを特徴とする請求項3または4記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記出力用導波路の出射端側に、出力用導波路から出射された光をモニタするための受光素子が配置されている請求項5記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記導波路型分光器積層体は、上記導波路型分光器積層体の厚さ方向における中央部分に上記入力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器が位置しており、該入力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器の上下側に上記出力用光ファイバが接続された導波路型分光器が積層されている請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記導波路型分光器は、屈折率の高いコアがそれよりも屈折率の低いクラッドで埋め込まれた少なくとも1本以上の入力導波路と、該入力導波路に接続され厚さ方向のみに閉じ込め構造を持つスラブ導波路と、該スラブ導波路に接続された多数の一定長だけ長さが順次異なるアレイ導波路とからなることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記導波路型分光器の上記スラブ導波路が石英ガラスで構成され、該スラブ導波路の一部に楔形の溝が少なくとも1個形成され、該溝部には石英ガラスの屈折率温度特性と逆の温度依存性を持つ樹脂が挿入されている請求項8記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記導波路型分光器の入出力端面には無反射コーティングが形成されている請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長ドメイン光スイッチ。
- 上記導波路型分光器の入出力端面が、上記導波路型分光器の積層方向に対して8°以上の角度をなすように形成されている請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記光位相変調セルの光の入出力端面には無反射コーティングが形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記光位相変調セルの光の入出力端面が上記導波路型分光器の横方向に対して0.1〜0.5°傾けて配置されている請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記光位相変調セルは、基板上に反射膜と液晶層が設けられ、上記反射膜と液晶層との間に1/4波長膜が挿入されてなる請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
- 上記第1レンズおよび第2レンズによる集光位置のずれを補正するための位相分布を上記光位相変調セルに対して付与することを特徴とする請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載の導波路型波長選択スイッチ。
