【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、口部材付きパウチ容器を作製する製袋装置と口部材付きパウチ容器内に内容物を充填する充填装置等との連結部における口部材付きパウチ容器の搬送装置に関する。

【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】
近年、清涼飲料等の液体飲料、ゼリー状の流動性栄養食品、医薬品、洗剤等の液体や粘性体を充填するための容器として、内面が熱融着性樹脂によって形成されたガスバリヤー性を有する積層フィルムによってガゼット部を有する袋状の容器本体を形成し、該容器本体に飲口または注ぎ口となる口部材(スパウト)を取付けた、いわゆる口部材付きパウチ容器が使用されるようになってきている。

かかる口部材付きパウチ容器は、容器本体が不定形な材質であるため、そのハンドリングを円滑に行なうためには、硬い口部を利用するのが好ましい。そこで、例えば特開平11−124213号公報所載の装置は、二台の製袋装置と一台の充填装置との間に合流搬送装置を介装し、それぞれの製袋装置と合流搬送装置、及び合流搬送装置と充填装置を断面視略C字状の搬送トラフで連結し、製袋装置から充填装置に至る一連の流れにおいて、該口部材付きパウチ容器を口部にて吊り下げながら整列搬送するようにしている。

しかしながら、前記製袋装置内においては、フィルムの貼り合わせ工程、もしくは口部材の容器本体内への挿入工程における構成部品のハンドリングを円滑に行ない得ること、フィルム周縁(特にスパウト部分)の熱融着工程における熱板プレスを確実に行ない得ること、そして、複雑な機構でなく安価な装置であることを考慮すると、容器本体や口部材を横に寝かせた状態で搬送する態様がより好ましい。

そこで、本発明は上記従来の問題点に鑑みてなされたもので、搬送態様の異なる製袋装置及び充填装置等の組み合わせであっても、口部材付きパウチ容器を円滑且つ確実に整列搬送することができる口部材付きパウチ容器の搬送装置を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために、本発明に係る口部材付きパウチ容器の搬送装置は、製袋装置100により製袋された容器1を横に寝かせて搬送する第一搬送装置150と、前記容器1の口部33に形成されたフランジ部34をスリット302に引っ掛けることにより容器1を吊り下げて搬送する第二搬送装置300との間に介装される口部材付きパウチ容器の搬送装置であって、前記第一搬送装置150上の少なくとも二個以上の容器1,…をその口部33にて掴むクランプ手段220と、該容器1,…を起立状態にすべく、該クランプ手段220を回転変位させる回転手段211と、前記クランプ手段220を平行移動させる移動手段216と、該クランプ手段220が平行移動した時、容器1の口部33のフランジ部34をスリット257に引っ掛けることによりそれぞれの容器1を吊り下げ可能に保持する保持手段255と、該保持手段255のそれぞれのスリット257を第二搬送装置300のスリット302と一致させるべく、該保持手段255をスライドさせるスライド手段253と、前記保持手段255の何れかのスリット302が第二搬送装置300のスリット302と一致した状態で、該容器1の口部33を第二搬送装置300のスリット302内に押し込む押圧手段264とを備えてなることを特徴とする。

上記構成からなる口部材付きパウチ容器の搬送装置は、保持手段255が少なくとも二個以上の容器1,…を吊り下げ保持している間、及び該容器1,…を第二搬送装置300に移送している間に、クランプ手段220が次の容器1,…を掴むことができるため、アイドリングタイムを縮小して、高い搬送効率を実現することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施形態に係る口部材付きパウチ容器(以下、「容器」という)の合流搬送装置について説明するが、これに先立ち、対象となる容器の概略構成について図1に基づき説明する。

本実施形態に係る容器1は、所定形状(例えば、正面視長方形状)に形成された容器本体2の一部に口部材3を備えたものである。

前記容器本体2は、例えば、内面が熱融着性樹脂によって形成されたガスバリヤー性を有する積層フィルムからなるシート片から袋状に形成されている。具体的には、表裏のシート片21,21の上縁が口部材3の取付部31を介在させて互いに接着されると共に、該表裏シート片21,21の両側の間にガセット用シート片22,22が折り込まれ、該表裏シート片21,21の側縁とガセット用シート片22,22の側縁とがそれぞれ接着され、さらに、該表裏シート片21,21の下縁が互いに接着されることにより、サイドガセット付きの容器本体2が形成されている。

前記口部材3は、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等の合成樹脂によって形成されており、平面視船形状の取付部31と、該取付部31から容器本体2外部に延設され且つ内容物の注ぎ口となる開口32が上端部に形成された筒状の口部33とを備え、しかも、該口部33には、該口部33の中途部に外周から突設された鍔状(例えば、平面視略方形状)のフランジ部34が形成されている。ここで、取付部31の上面から上方に所定間隔を空けて設けられたフランジ部34を第一フランジ部34aとし、該第一フランジ部34aから上方に所定間隔を空けて設けられたフランジ部34を第二フランジ部34bとする。

また、前記取付部31と第一フランジ部34aとの間及び第一フランジ部34aと第二フランジ部34bとの間は、口部33よりも太く且つフランジ部34よりも細い断面視非円形状(例えば、断面視略方形状)の保持部35が形成されている。ここで、取付部31と第一フランジ部34aとの間の保持部35を第一保持部35aとし、第一フランジ部34aと第二フランジ部34bとの間の保持部35を第二保持部35bとする。

<実施形態>
図2に示す如く、所定の工程を経て作製された容器1,…は、第一搬送装置150によって製袋装置100から搬出される。また、搬出された容器1,…は、第二搬送装置300によって充填装置350に搬送され、清涼飲料等の液体飲料、ゼリー状の流動性栄養食品、医薬品、洗剤等の液体や粘性体が容器1内に充填される。前記第一搬送装置150では、容器1,…を横に寝かせて一列に整列搬送する一方、前記第二搬送装置300では、容器1,…を縦に吊り下げて一列に整列搬送するため、搬送途中位置にて容器1,…を起立状態に変える必要が生じる。このための装置が中間搬送装置200である。

前記第二搬送装置300は、容器1のフランジ部34よりも幅狭で且つ容器1の保持部35よりも幅広のスリット302を下面に有し、このスリット302が第一搬送装置150のトレイ152よりも高位置であって、その長手方向が第一搬送装置150の搬送方向と直交するように配置された偏平状の筐体301と、該筐体301内に配置され、一方の直線部分がスリット302近傍を通るようにして水平面に沿って無端回動するチェーン307と、該チェーン307の所定間隔位置から外側に向かってスリット302まで延出し得る複数のスクレーパ308,…とを備えている。

また、図6に示す如く、前記筐体301の上流側端面303であって、スリット302の上流側端近傍位置には、開口部304が形成されている。この開口部304は、容器1の口部33よりも大きな開口面積を有しており、容器1の口部33を開口部304から筐体301内に挿入可能となっている。この時、スリット302は、容器1の第一フランジ部34aと第二フランジ部34bとの間に介在し、第二フランジ部34bがスリット302の側縁に引っ掛かることにより容器1は筐体301に吊り下げられる。

前記中間搬送装置200は、図3〜図5に示す如く、第一搬送装置150のトレイ152上に横たわる容器1を保持して起立状態にする第一作動部210と、該第一作動部210から受け取った容器1を第二搬送装置300に受け渡す第二作動部250とからなる。

そして、前記第一作動部210は、カップリング213を介してモータ212の回転が伝達されるシャフト211と、該シャフト211に固定されるシリンダ216と、該シリンダ216のロッド217に固着されるクランプ装置220とを備えている。

前記クランプ装置220は、先端に一対の保持爪221,221を有しており、内蔵されたシリンダ(図示しない)により一対の保持爪221,221が拡縮自在となっている。また、この保持爪221は、その厚みが容器1の取付部31と第一フランジ部34aとの間隔よりも薄くなっている。そこで、この一対の保持爪221,221を容器1の取付部31と第一フランジ部34aとの間に挿入し、しかる後、保持爪221,221の間隔を狭めることにより、容器1の保持部35を掴むことができる。

また、前記クランプ装置220は、シャフト211の軸方向に沿ってシリンダ216のロッド217に固着されたプレート218に対し、その両端位置に二個取付けられている。これは、該一対のクランプ装置220,220を用いて二個の容器1,1を同時に第二作動部250に受け渡すためである。

前記第二作動部250は、第二搬送装置300の上流側端に固着され、スリット302の長手方向と直交する方向にスライド可能なスライダー253を備えたシリンダ252と、該スライダー253に固着され、容器1の口部33を吊り下げ保持可能な横行体255とを備えている。

前記横行体255は、第二搬送装置300の筐体301の上流側端面303に対峙して配置され、該上流側端面303に沿って水平方向を移動するようになっている。また、横行体255には、下面にスリット257を有する正面視略C字状の吊り下げ部256が形成されており、該吊り下げ部256内に、容器1の口部33を挿入可能となっている。この時、スリット257は、容器1の第一フランジ部34aと第二フランジ部34bとの間に介在し、第二フランジ部34bがスリット257の側縁に引っ掛かることにより容器1は横行体255に吊り下げられる。尚、吊り下げ部256の奥行き(第二搬送装置300の搬送方向における幅)寸法は、容器1のフランジ部34の幅寸法と略同一に設定されている。

そして、前記吊り下げ部256は、横行体255の両端位置であって、第一搬送装置150のトレイ152,…の配置ピッチ、もしくは第一作動部210の一対のクランプ装置220,220の間隔と略同一にして二個設けられている。即ち、二つのスリット257,257の間隔は、一対のクランプ装置220,220の間隔と略同一であるため、横行体255は、第一作動部210に保持されている二個の容器1,1を同時に受け取ることができる。

また、前記横行体255は、その吊り下げ部256のスリット257と第二搬送装置300のスリット302とが同一高さに設定されている。従って、該横行体255をシリンダ252で動かすことにより、一方の吊り下げ部256のスリット257と第二搬送装置300のスリット302とが一致する位置(本実施形態では、一方の吊り下げ部256とは、正面視左側の吊り下げ部256であって、便宜上、この位置を「ホームポジション」という)と、他方の吊り下げ部256のスリット257と第二搬送装置300のスリット302とが一致する位置(本実施形態では、他方の吊り下げ部256とは、正面視右側の吊り下げ部256であって、便宜上、この位置を「セカンドポジション」という)とに切り替えることができる。

尚、前記横行体255に吊り下げ保持された容器1が第二作動部250の何れの構成部材とも干渉することのないよう、前記シリンダ252は、スライダー253が下向きとなるようにして第二搬送装置300の筐体301の上流側端上面に固着された台座260に取付けられ、前記横行体255は、そのスリット257が下向きとなるようにして台座260に取付けられる。

また、前記第二作動部250は、上記構成に加え、横行体255の左右何れかの吊り下げ部256が第二搬送装置300の搬送経路と一致(即ち、横行体255がホームポジションかセカンドポジションの何れかにある)状態で、該吊り下げ部256内及び第二搬送装置300の筐体301に形成された開口部304を通って該筐体301内に出退可能な押し込み杆264と、該押し込み杆264と協働し、横行体255の外側端面の近傍位置に接離する押え杆265とを備えている。

前記押し込み杆264及び前記押え杆265は、第二搬送装置300の搬送方向と直交する方向であって、第二搬送装置300の筐体301の上流側端上方に配されたシャフト271に軸支されており、何れの先端側もシャフト271を中心とした円弧状に形成されているが、この円弧部は、押え杆265よりも押し込み杆264の方が長く形成されている。そして、該シャフト271が前記台座260に固着されたモータ270によって回転操作されることにより、押し込み杆264及び押え杆265は、同期して回転するようになっている。

また、上述とは逆方向にシャフト271を回転操作すれば、押し込み杆264は、その先端が筐体301から出て、第二搬送装置300の搬送経路の延長線よりも上方に退避すると共に、これに伴って、押え杆265も、その先端が他方の吊り下げ部256の外側開口端の近傍から離間し、第二搬送装置300の搬送経路の延長線よりも上方に退避することとなる。

第一搬送装置150に所定間隔を有して並べられたトレイ152,…には、それぞれ一個ずつ容器1が横置きにして載置されていること上述の如くであるが、この第一搬送装置150は、容器二個単位(即ち、トレイ152の配置ピッチの2倍量)の間欠搬送を採用している。実施形態に係る中間搬送装置200は、第一搬送装置150の二個の容器1,1を第二搬送装置300のスリット302上に一列に並べるという意味で、「合流搬送装置」に位置付けられる。

第一搬送装置150では、最下流のトレイ152に載置される容器1の口部材3の軸線と第二搬送装置300のスリット302の中心線とが略同一垂直面となるようにして位置決めされる。

そこで、クランプ装置220が下向きとなっている状態で、まず、第一作動部210のシリンダ216のロッド217を垂直方向に伸長させて、一対のクランプ装置220,220を同時に下降させる(図7(イ)参照)。この時、一対のクランプ装置220,220と第一搬送装置150の最下流に位置する隣り合う二個の容器1,1との位相が一致しているから、それぞれのクランク装置220の保持爪221,221間には、容器1の第一保持部35aが介在することとなる。

かかる状態にて、保持爪221,221を閉じた後、シリンダ216のロッド217を垂直方向に収縮させて、一対のクランプ装置220,220を同時に上昇させることにより、二個の容器1,1を横向きのまま持ち上げる(図7(ロ)参照)。尚、容器1の第一保持部35aは、角柱状に形成される一方、保持爪221,221の対向する辺は、略平行な直線に形成されているため、トレイ152から持ち上げられた容器1は、口部材3の軸回りに不用意に回転することがない。

次に、第一作動部210のシャフト211を約90度回転させることにより、クランプ装置220,220も約90度回転させて、二個の容器1,1を起立状態にする(図7(ハ)参照)。この時、一対のクランプ装置220,220と横行体255の一対の吊り下げ部256,256との位相が一致しているから、一方の容器1の口部33は、一方の吊り下げ部256の外側開口端の近傍に位置し、他方の容器1の口部33は、他方の吊り下げ部256の外側開口端の近傍に位置することとなる。しかも、それぞれ容器1の第二保持部35bは、吊り下げ部256のスリット257と略同一高さに位置している。尚、この時、横行体255は、ホームポジションに位置している。

かかる状態にて、シリンダ216のロッド217を水平方向に伸長させて、一対のクランプ装置220,220を同時に吊り下げ部256,256側に移動させることにより、二個の容器1,1のそれぞれ口部33を吊り下げ部256内に収容させる(図7(ニ)参照)。尚、吊り下げ部256のスリット257は、容器1の第二保持部35bに外挿されている。

次に、保持爪221,221を拡げて、二個の容器1,1をアンクランプした後、シャフト271を回転操作して押し込み杆264及び押え杆265を吊り下げ部256,256側に回転させる(図7(ホ)参照)。さすれば、押し込み杆264の先端が一方の容器1の口部33を押圧して第二搬送装置300の筐体301内に押し込む。即ち、一方の容器1の口部33は、吊り下げ部256のスリット257から筐体301のスリット302内に押し込まれ、一方の容器1は第二搬送装置300の搬送経路に載ることとなる。因みに、押え杆265の先端は、他方の容器1の口部33に近接した状態にある。

かかる状態にて、シリンダ216のロッド217を水平方向に収縮させて、一対のクランプ装置220,220を吊り下げ部256,256から離間させる。ここで、他方の吊り下げ部256の二つの開口端は筐体301の上流側端面303と押え杆265とによって塞がれているため、該吊り下げ部256内に収容されている他方の容器1の口部33は、移動が規制されている。従って、クランプ装置220が後退することによって、他方の容器1が吊り下げ部256から不用意に脱落することはない。

しかる後、二個の容器1,1を引き渡した一対のクランプ装置220,220は、シャフト211の約90度の逆回転、シリンダ216の垂直方向への伸長、保持爪221,221のクランプの諸動作を経て、次に間欠搬送されてきたトレイ152,152上の容器1,1を掴む。

そして、第一作動部210のかかる動作と同時進行にて以下の動作が行なわれる。第二搬送装置300は、スクレーパ一個単位(即ち、スクレーパ308の配置ピッチと同量)の間欠搬送を採用しているが、まず、チェーン308を前記所定量回動させることにより、押し込み杆264によって筐体301内に押し込まれた容器1を所定量移動させる(図3参照)。この動作により、次に収容される容器1のスペースが確保される。

かかる状態にて、シャフト271を上述とは逆方向に回転操作して押し込み杆264及び押え杆265を回転させ、それぞれ先端側を吊り下げ部256,256から離間させる。そして、押し込み杆264と横行体255とが干渉しない状態にしてから、横行体255をセカンドポジションに切り替える(図7(ヘ)参照)。
