Description
The present invention relates to a power storage system in which a secondary battery such as a lithium ion battery is housed in a casing.
When considering the merchantability of the present power storage system, it is preferable that both the electric utility and the power consumer have performance and cost that can obtain merits. That is, it is preferable for the electric power company to secure the merit of reducing the power generation cost by leveling the electric power load day and night, and at the same time, the electric power consumer can also enjoy the merit of reducing the electric charge by promoting the use of the night electric power.
From this point of view, the development of this system requires a high-efficiency and long-term (10-year scale) operation of the system in order to facilitate the recovery of the initial cost, in addition to efforts to reduce the initial cost. For this reason, the secondary battery as a key component requires not only a technology for safety against battery abnormalities, but also a technology for operating it as a system for a long time.
However, in the power storage system described in
(1) Since the refrigerant circulation mechanism uses heavy load power equipment such as a liquid circulation pump, the power consumption required for the operation of the cooling mechanism is large and the system efficiency is low.
(2) The heat generated by the power consumption of the cooling mechanism may disturb the temperature distribution at each location of the system housing, and many battery performance / deterioration conditions stored in the system are likely to be unbalanced.
(3) When a refrigerant is circulated, a liquid sealing technique is required. Therefore, it is necessary to use a large number of members such as pipes and sealing materials, and the casing cost is increased.
(4) In the case of a refrigerant circulation mechanism, if a refrigerant leak or a circulation pump failure occurs, maintenance is poor such as complicated replacement and high repair costs.
Further, since the power storage system described in
Furthermore, when the power storage system described in
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a power storage system that can greatly reduce the manufacturing cost, has good maintainability, and can be operated with high system efficiency.
Another object is to provide a highly safe power storage system that can cope with various external factors.
The present invention employs the following means in order to solve the above problems.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a power storage system comprising: an electric room in which a power converter and a protection circuit are housed; and a battery room in which a plurality of module batteries in which at least one secondary battery is housed are housed. An electric power storage system provided in a body, wherein at least one intake port and at least one exhaust port are provided in the housing, and at least the intake port and the exhaust port communicate with each other in the housing. One flow path is formed, and at least one fan is provided in each flow path, and the secondary battery is configured to have a safety valve on an upper surface thereof, and the safety valve is disposed on an upper surface of the case. A conduit guide is provided for guiding a conduit for guiding all of the generated gas discharged from the outside of the module battery .
According to such a power storage system, the outside air taken in from the intake port by the rotation of the fan cools the inside of the housing along the flow path formed in the housing, and is then discharged from the exhaust port to the outside of the housing. It is like that. That is, the inside of the housing is cooled by a simple and relatively inexpensive configuration, and the temperature rise in the housing is prevented. In addition, since an air-cooled fan is used in the present invention, it is not necessary to use heavy load power equipment such as a circulation pump as compared with the refrigerant circulation system, and high system efficiency can be maintained because power loss in system operation is low. Further, the air cooling fan has good maintainability such that it can be easily replaced at the time of failure as compared with the refrigerant circulation mechanism, and at the same time, the repair cost is relatively low.
Moreover, according to such an electric power storage system, all the hot product gas ejected from the safety valve is exhausted outside the case (that is, outside the module battery) through a conduit provided corresponding to the safety valve. Thus, the generated gas is prevented from touching other secondary batteries in the same module battery.

Each of the rooms can be individually cooled, and outside air having a lower temperature than that of the above-described

The impact of the vehicle can be absorbed by the deformation of the wall surface (that is, the wall surface that constitutes the housing), and the deformation of the wall surface that is located inside the flue space (that is, the wall surface that constitutes the battery chamber) is prevented. At the same time, deformation and breakage of the module battery housed in the battery chamber are prevented.
In addition, a heat insulation effect is obtained by this flue space, and an extreme temperature rise in the battery chamber is prevented even in midsummer, and the generation of the generated gas accompanying the increase in the internal pressure of the secondary battery is prevented. On the other hand, in midwinter, an extreme temperature drop in the battery chamber is prevented, and a performance drop in the secondary battery is prevented.

In this case, the inert gas is filled in the battery compartment, preventing the spread of fire to the power storage system, protecting the module battery in the battery compartment from the heat of the fire, and preventing the secondary battery from deteriorating. Is done.

Is prevented.

Even if a fire occurs in the secondary battery or a fire occurs in the vicinity of the module battery, the spread of fire is prevented to a minimum and the generation of harmful gases is prevented.
The power storage system according to
According to such a power storage system, since direct sunlight from above does not fall in the power storage system, the temperature rise in the housing is suppressed, and the failure of the power conversion device housed in the electrical room is prevented, Deterioration of the secondary battery housed in the battery chamber is prevented, and the life of the secondary battery is extended.
In addition, since the awning member prevents rainwater and snow from directly falling on the upper surface of the power storage system, the progress of corrosion on the upper surface is delayed, and the life of the housing is extended. Even if the light travels, the awning member prevents rainwater, snow, and dust from entering the housing to some extent.
Furthermore, this power storage system is intended to be installed outdoors, and depending on the installation environment, it may be assumed that the vehicle is adjacent to a parking lot or has a road nearby. In this case, since the automobile travels around the power storage system, there may be a situation where the vehicle collides with the power storage system. The sunshade member is also effective as a safety mechanism against such an event. Even if a vehicle or the like collides with the sunshade member, the deformation of the sunshade member absorbs the impact of the vehicle, and the wall of the casing is formed. The deformation is prevented, and the deformation and breakage of the devices such as the power conversion device and the protection circuit housed in the electric chamber and the module battery housed in the battery chamber are prevented.
The present invention has the following effects.
Since the inside of the housing is cooled by a simple and relatively inexpensive configuration and the temperature inside the housing is prevented from increasing, the manufacturing cost can be greatly reduced.
In addition, the system safety of the product can be improved because the equipment and configuration capable of dealing with various external factors are provided.

As shown in FIG. 7, it is more preferable that a large number of air cooling holes (that is, ventilation holes) are provided on the wall surface of the
The
As described above, by providing a large number of
In the above-described embodiment, it is more preferable that a configuration is provided in which the humidity in the housing is maintained at a certain value (for example, 80%) or less.
That is, a humidity sensor is provided at substantially the same position as the above-described battery room temperature detection means 33, and when the humidity detected by these humidity sensors exceeds a (fifth) set value (for example, 80%), a gas cylinder is placed in the battery room. An inert gas is supplied to purge the battery chamber, thereby reducing the humidity in the housing.
As a result, the humidity in the battery chamber (or in the housing) is always kept below the set value, and the generation of condensed water in the battery chamber (or in the housing) can be prevented. Corrosion of components and the like housed in the body can be prevented, and an increase in air path resistance can be prevented.
Further, when the humidity in the casing falls below a (sixth) set value (for example, 70%) due to the purge, the supply of the inert gas is stopped, and the inert gas is prevented from being consumed more than necessary. It is possible to reduce the operation cost.
Further, it is preferable that the inert gas is heated by the air in the electric chamber before going from the gas cylinder to the battery chamber.
As a result, the moisture in the inert gas evaporates and a gas having a lower humidity than the gas that is not heated is supplied into the battery chamber, so that the time for reducing the humidity due to the purge can be shortened, and the consumption of the inert gas In addition, the moisture adhering to the components stored in the battery chamber can be evaporated by the heat of the inert gas, and corrosion of the components can be further prevented, and the air path resistance can be reduced. Can be further prevented.
