Description
The invention according to the claims relates to a corrosion monitoring sensor that is inserted into a space of the corrosive environment and used for detecting the corrosion rate (and the situation related thereto) of the metal to be evaluated in the corrosive environment.
In furnaces such as garbage incinerator boilers, soda recovery boilers, and coal fired boilers, metal materials such as boiler heat transfer tubes are easily corroded by high-temperature molten salt and condensed water contained in incineration ash. As an apparatus for detecting the corrosion state of a metal material (metal to be evaluated) in such a corrosive environment, there is a corrosion monitoring sensor using electrochemical measurement as described in Patent Document 1 (below).
About the corrosion monitoring sensor described in
The
In the furnace of the operating boiler, the temperature changes drastically and, for example, solids may be scattered in the waste incinerator. However, since the
Also, the
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem in the conventional corrosion monitoring sensor as shown in FIG. 3, the invention according to the claims compensates for the low impact resistance of the reference electrode and the tip of the
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to
According to this corrosion monitoring sensor, it is possible to detect the corrosion rate as follows. In a state where corrosion has progressed due to adhesion of molten salt or condensed water, the polarization resistance (impedance) at the interface of the sample electrode can be measured by applying a weak alternating electric field from the outside between the sample electrode and the counter electrode. it can. Since there is a correspondence between the polarization resistance and the corrosion rate, if this correspondence is obtained in advance, the corrosion rate can be detected from the measured polarization resistance of the sample electrode. It is also possible to determine the amount of corrosion by integrating the obtained corrosion rate. Furthermore, when the counter electrode material is platinum, for example, the basicity of the adhering molten salt can be found by measuring the counter electrode potential with reference to the reference electrode. Since the corrosivity depends on the basicity, it is also possible to detect the corrosivity of the molten salt from the obtained basicity. The so-called electrochemical impedance method, in which the corrosion rate is known based on the principle described here, is a method widely known to those skilled in the art, such as described in
Compared to the corrosion monitoring sensor described in Patent Document 1 (supra), the reference electrode is not provided as a separate probe, but directly provided on the electrode base attached to the single probe. Therefore, the length of the reference electrode can be shortened. As a result, the exposed area of the reference electrode is significantly reduced, reducing the possibility of thermal shock due to temperature changes and the impact of flying objects, and handling is also easier, avoiding inconveniences due to low impact resistance. Easy to be. In addition, since the electrode base is attached so as not to divide the probe in the longitudinal direction, the tip of the probe is not supported only by the base, and therefore the shock resistance of the base The inconvenience due to low is still easily avoided.
In the corrosion monitoring sensor according to
This corrosion monitoring sensor has a simple structure and is compact because the electrode base is an integral body having three electrodes. Since the reference electrode is also arranged near the other two electrodes, even if the reference electrode is configured to be particularly short and compact, its function can be appropriately exhibited. The reference electrode may be used at room temperature (aqueous solution) or at a high temperature (molten salt). A reference electrode for high temperature includes a ceramic (for example, mullite) tube filled with an electrolyte and a silver wire inserted therein. An example utilizing a tube of mullite (a compound of silica and aluminum) takes advantage of its ionic conductivity at high temperatures.
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to
Such a corrosion monitoring sensor can be mounted so that the electrode base does not protrude on the surface of the probe, and is compact and good in appearance. Further, since the probe is tubular and the lead wire is passed through the probe, it is not necessary to provide a separate cylinder or cover for protecting the lead wire. Even if the electrode base is broken, there is also an advantage that the broken pieces easily stay inside the tubular probe and can be easily recovered. Therefore, as a whole, it can be used as a sensor that is extremely easy to handle.
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to
The corrosion monitoring sensor configured in this way can have high heat resistance as well as insulation because the electrode base is made of ceramic. When the heat resistance is high, it is possible to detect the corrosion rate in a corrosive environment with a high temperature. Further, the temperature of the sample electrode can be controlled by the action of the thermocouple and the cooling air, and the metal to be evaluated can be set to the same temperature condition as an actual heat transfer tube or the like in the boiler. Therefore, preferable monitoring can be performed in a wide temperature range including a high temperature region.
As in the corrosion monitoring sensor according to
The corrosion monitoring sensor of the invention replaces the metal to be evaluated as a sample electrode (that is, the metal to be evaluated is not provided, but instead) a semiconductor (such as an n-type semiconductor made of TiO 2 or ZrO 2 ). May be provided .
The corrosion monitoring sensor thus configured detects a state of corrosion by measuring a flat band potential theoretically required to have a corresponding relationship with pH based on the principle that the hydrogen ion concentration (pH) changes when corroded. The flat band potential of the semiconductor can be obtained by measuring the impedance at the interface of the semiconductor electrode .
Such a corrosion monitoring sensor has an advantage that the sample electrode does not depend on the metal to be evaluated (the same semiconductor can be used to monitor the corrosion state of various metals to be evaluated). Therefore, its manufacture is also relatively easy.
According to the corrosion monitoring sensor of the first aspect, the length of the reference electrode can be shortened, so that the possibility of receiving a thermal shock or a collision of scattered objects is reduced and the handling is facilitated. It is also preferable in terms of handling and the like that problems due to the low impact resistance of the electrode base are easily avoided.
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to the third aspect is further simple in structure and appearance, and is easier to handle.
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to
The corrosion monitoring sensor according to the fifth aspect has an advantage that electrical short-circuit can be surely prevented, and manufacture and handling are easy .
An embodiment of the corrosion monitoring sensor according to the invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 1A is a schematic diagram showing the overall configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 1A, the
The
The
Each of the
A boiler heat transfer tube (not shown) in the furnace in operation is exposed to hot gas on the outside, and water is circulated inside. In order to place the
The
The
In the AC impedance method, since the difference in impedance convergence value between the low frequency side (f-0) and the high frequency side (f + 0) corresponds to the polarization resistance, the reciprocal of this value is used as a monitoring index to corrode the material. You can predict the speed.
