Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a paper discharge device that discharges and stacks sheets of paper on which an image is formed from an image forming apparatus such as a stencil printing apparatus or a copying machine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in image forming apparatuses such as stencil printing apparatuses and copiers, sheets discharged after image formation are stacked on a discharge tray of a discharge apparatus having an end fence and a side fence. In this paper discharge device, the paper discharged from the paper discharge port of the image forming device is dropped on the paper discharge tray after being collided with the end fence and then regulated in the paper width direction by the side fence. However, there is a problem that paper alignment on the paper discharge tray (hereinafter referred to as paper discharge alignment) deteriorates due to rebound when the paper collides with the end fence.
[0003]
Therefore, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-329327 discloses a technique for providing a movable member movable on the side fence in accordance with the fall of the paper and improving the paper discharge alignment by dropping the paper while being bent into a U shape. Further, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-208108 discloses a technique for improving paper discharge alignment by changing the angle and width of the end fence to suppress paper bounce and twist.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, each of the above-mentioned technologies can prevent the paper discharge alignment from deteriorating due to rebounding at the end fence collision, but the problem is that the twist of the paper that occurs at the end fence collision cannot be completely removed and the paper discharge alignment cannot be improved. is there. This is because the contact length with the side fence is smaller than that when using a large size plain paper such as A3 size or B4 size. This is noticeable when paper is used or when paper is used.
[0005]
In view of this, the applicant of the present application has proposed a paper discharge device having a guide member that contacts the rear end of the paper in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-189364, but this technique focuses on pushing back the paper toward the end fence. Since the members are arranged in parallel to the paper transport direction, the twist that occurs when the paper collides with the end fence cannot be completely eliminated, and the behavior of the paper at the time of dropping changes, adversely affecting the output alignment. May be affected.
[0006]
The present invention solves the above-described problems, reliably removes the twisting of the paper that occurs when the end fence collides, and can improve the paper discharge alignment even when using small-sized paper or paper with no waist. The purpose is to provide a paper device.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a paper discharge table on which paper discharged from the paper discharge port of the image forming apparatus is stacked, and a front end of the paper disposed on the paper discharge direction downstream side on the paper discharge table. An end fence that abuts, a pair of side fences disposed on the discharge table, and extends inward of the discharge table in the vicinity of the discharge port at a position facing the end fence, In the paper discharge device having a pair of guide members with which a rear end portion of the paper discharged from the paper discharge port contacts, the guide members are Each has a bent end portion bent downward at the leading end, and the rear end portion of the paper comes into contact with each bent end portion when the leading end portion of the paper comes into contact with the end fence. Arranged, each bent end is It is characterized in that it is formed in a shape in which the distance between each other increases toward the downstream side in the sheet conveying direction.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the paper discharge device according to the first aspect, the guide members are further movable in the width direction of the paper.
[0009]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the paper discharge device according to the first or second aspect, the guide members further extend toward the inside of the paper discharge table and the inside of the paper discharge table. It is possible to move to a retreat position.
[0010]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the paper discharge device according to the third aspect, each of the guide members is attached in the vicinity of the paper discharge port so that one end of each of the guide members is rotatable.
[0011]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the paper discharge device according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, the guide member is made of an elastic body.

[0041]
In the above-described embodiments and modifications, the stencil printing apparatus has been described as an example. However, the present invention is not limited to the stencil printing apparatus, and other printing apparatuses, copiers, and the like receive paper discharges on which images have been formed. The present invention can be applied to all image forming apparatuses including a paper discharge device.
[0042]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, the pair of guide members that come into contact with the rear end of the sheet are used so that the distance between the guide members increases toward the downstream side in the sheet transport direction. Since the twist when touching is completely removed by being gradually seated when moving on each guide member, it is stacked neatly on the paper output tray, so small paper or paper with no waist Even when using, the paper discharge alignment can be improved.
In addition, by configuring each guide member to be movable in the paper width direction, it is possible to handle a plurality of sizes of paper, and the position where each guide member extends toward the inside of the paper discharge table and the inside of the paper discharge table By being configured to be movable to a more retracted position, when taking out the stacked paper from the paper discharge tray, it is possible to prevent interference with the paper by retracting each guide member, Operability can be improved.
[0043]
In addition, by using each guide member as an elastic body, the height of the sheets stacked on the paper discharge table is increased by the displacement of each guide member toward the outside of the paper discharge table below. In this case, it is possible to prevent the rear end of the paper from remaining on the guide member, to increase the stacking amount of the paper on the paper discharge table, and to cause each guide member to push back the rear end of the paper. As a result, the degree of contact between the leading edge of the sheet and the end fence is increased, and the sheet discharge alignment can be further improved.
Further, by using each guide member made of a plurality of elastic bodies having different lengths, when the sheet stacking amount is small, the long-length guide member causes the end fence to be fed until the fall of the sheet is almost completed. Since the sheet alignment is greatly improved and the sheet stacking amount increases and the long guide member cannot be restored, the short guide member guides and seats the sheet. Therefore, it is possible to improve the paper discharge alignment.
