この種の厚紙製緩衝体として、特開平10−245028号公報において、図8に示すようなものが提案されている。この緩衝体は、底板50の両側に、巻き込むように折り曲げて二重構造とした側壁51を、底板50の両端に、底板50及び側壁51からの延出部を重合した端壁52をそれぞれ立設し、底板50の周囲を対向する側壁51及び端壁52で取り囲んで被梱包物の嵌合凹所53を形成し、側壁51の頂部に、その稜線54をずらせて先端が交互に逆方向に振れた緩衝爪55を設けた構成とされている。

上記のような課題を解決するため、この発明に係る厚紙製緩衝体は、底板の周囲を頂部が緩衝爪により柔軟に撓む二重構造の側壁と、横受爪により外側への揺動が阻止された端壁とで取り囲んで被梱包物の嵌合凹所を形成したのである。

【発明の実施の形態】
この発明に係る厚紙製緩衝体は、図1及び図2にそれぞれブランク状態で示す段ボール製の基本部材1と取付部材2とから構成される。

図1に示す基本部材1のブランクにおいて、外底板3の両側縁には、側壁4をなす外側板5及び内側板6が順次連設されている。側壁4の中間部には、外側板5と内側板6とに跨がった複数条の切目線7が設けられ、その間の部分が緩衝爪8となっている。各緩衝爪8には、一定幅ずつ交互にずれた稜線9と、そのずれの反対側に位置する折目線10とが設けられ、緩衝爪8の幅は、基端となる折目線10側からその反対側へ向けてテーパ状に小さくなっている。両端の緩衝爪8の外側には、2条の折目線11を介して外側板5及び内側板6に挟まれた頂片12が設けられている。側壁4の両端部には、外側板5と内側板6とを繋ぐ横受爪13が設けられ、その内縁に沿ってスリット14が形成されている。横受爪13には、両端及び中間に折目線15が設けられ、中間の折目線15は内側板6寄りに位置している。
