Description
とくに、請求項1に記載の発明は、前記判定手段は、前記差圧の変化および前記粒子状物質の堆積量に基づいて、前記排気絞り弁の異常判定を行うことをその要旨としている。
粒子状物質の堆積量が多いときには、粒子状物質の堆積量が少ないときに比べて差圧が全体的に大きくなり、差圧の変化量についても、堆積量が多いときの差圧の変化量は、堆積量が少ないときの差圧の変化量に比べて大きくなる。
上記構成によれば、差圧の変化および粒子状物質の堆積量に基づいて、排気絞り弁の異常判定を行うことがてきる。
図1は、本発明に係る排気浄化装置を搭載した車載内燃機関の構成図である。内燃機関10は、各気筒11に形成される燃焼室12と、燃焼室12に吸入空気を送り込む吸気通路13と、燃焼室12での燃焼により生じた排気が排出される排気通路14とを備えている。
(1)上記実施形態では、電子制御装置40は、排気絞り弁18の作動時に、差圧センサにより検出されるPMフィルタ17の上流側と下流側との差圧ΔPの変化に基づいて排気絞り弁18の異常判定を行うようにしている。排気絞り弁18の作動が正常である場合と異常である場合とでは、排気絞り弁18の作動時における差圧ΔPの変化態様が図5,6に示すように異なるため、こうした差圧ΔPの変化から排気絞り弁18の作動状態を把握して、排気絞り弁18の異常判定を的確に行うことができる。このため、排気絞り弁18の動作異常に起因してPMフィルタ17の再生が十分に進行せず、燃費の悪化やフィルタ溶損を招くような状況を好適に回避することができる。
・上記実施形態では、排気絞り弁18が開弁状態から閉弁状態に作動される毎に、排気絞り弁18の異常判定を行うようにしているが、このような異常判定は毎回行わなくてもよく、所定のタイミングでのみ行うようにしてもよい。
Claims (5)
- 排気通路に配置されて内燃機関から排出される粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、同フィルタよりも排気通路の下流側に配置されて排気通路の流路断面積を可変とする排気絞り弁と、前記フィルタの上流側と下流側との差圧を検出する差圧センサとを備え、前記差圧センサにより検出される差圧に基づいて前記排気絞り弁を作動させ、前記フィルタにより捕集された粒子状物質を燃焼させて前記フィルタの再生を行う内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記排気絞り弁の作動時に、前記差圧センサにより検出される差圧の変化に基づいて、前記排気絞り弁の異常判定を行う判定手段を備え、
前記判定手段は、前記差圧の変化および前記粒子状物質の堆積量に基づいて、前記排気絞り弁の異常判定を行う
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 排気通路に配置されて内燃機関から排出される粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、同フィルタよりも排気通路の下流側に配置されて排気通路の流路断面積を可変とする排気絞り弁と、前記フィルタの上流側と下流側との差圧を検出する差圧センサとを備え、前記差圧センサにより検出される差圧に基づいて前記排気絞り弁を作動させ、前記フィルタにより捕集された粒子状物質を燃焼させて前記フィルタの再生を行う内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記排気絞り弁の作動時に、前記差圧センサにより検出される差圧の変化に基づいて、前記排気絞り弁の異常判定を行う判定手段を備え、
前記判定手段は、前記排気絞り弁の作動前後において、前記差圧センサにより検出される差圧の変化から前記排気絞り弁の上流側における排気圧力の上昇代を算出し、前記排気圧力の上昇代に基づいて前記排気絞り弁の異常判定を行う
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記排気絞り弁は、開弁状態と閉弁状態との間で切換えられる切換弁であり、
前記判定手段は、前記排気絞り弁の開弁状態から閉弁状態への作動前後において、前記排気圧力の上昇代が所定値未満となる場合に前記排気絞り弁が異常である旨判定する
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記判定手段により前記排気絞り弁が異常である旨判定されなかった場合に、前記排気絞り弁の作動前後における前記差圧の変化に基づいて前記フィルタの再生度合いを推定する推定手段を更に備える
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 請求項4に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記推定手段は、前記排気絞り弁の作動前後において、前記差圧の変化から前記排気絞り弁の上流側における排気圧力の上昇代を算出し、前記排気圧力の上昇代に応じた前記フィルタの再生速度を演算して前記再生度合いを推定する
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
