Description
機能層を容易に適用できるような、真性伝導性重合体、例えばPEDOT/PSSおよびその中に不均一に分布した伝導性金属、例えば銀を含有する層において高い伝導率を有し且つ改良された平坦性の最外側表面を有する薄い実質的に透明な伝導層を実現できることが驚くべきことに見出された。
発明の詳細な記述
図1は、4種の銀パターン、すなわち、面積が3×3cm2の連続銀層を表わすパターン(a)、平行片が10mm離れており且つ1mmの幅を有する規則的片パターンを表わすパターン(b)、平行な片が5mm離れており且つ150μmの幅を有する規則的片パターンを表わすパターン(c)、および銀現像なしを表わすパターン(d)を示す。
アルキルという用語は、アルキル基中の各炭素数に関して可能な全ての変種、すなわち、炭素数3に関してはn−プロピルおよびイソプロピル、炭素数4に関してはn−ブチル、イソブチルおよび第三級−ブチル、炭素数5に関してはn−ペンチル、1,1−ジメチルプロピル、2,2−ジメチルプロピルおよび2−メチル−ブチルなど、を意味する。
本発明の局面は、支持体上の実質的に透明な伝導層であって、層が真性伝導性重合体および伝導性金属を含んでなり、伝導性金属がその中に不均一に分布されておりそして伝導性金属がそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導層により実現される。
本発明で使用される真性伝導性重合体は、当該技術で既知のいずれかの真性伝導性重合体、例えばポリアセチレン、ポリピロール、ポリアニリン、ポリチオフェンなど、でありうる。適する真性伝導性重合体の詳細は、例えば“Advances in Synthetic Metals”,ed.P.Bernier,S.Lefrant,and G.Bidan,Elsevier,1999;“Intrinsically Conducting Polymers:An Emerging Technology”,Kluwer(1993);“Conducting Polymer Fundamentals and Applications,A Practical Approach”,P.Chandrasekhar,Kluwer,1999;および“Handbook of Organic Conducting Molecules and Polymers”,Ed.Walwa,Vol.1−4,Marcel Dekker Inc.(1997)の如き教本に見ることができる。

本発明に従う伝導層の第七の態様によると、伝導層は銀−イオン安定剤をさらに含有する。
本発明の局面は、また、不均一に分布した伝導性金属を写真処理により生成せしめる段階を含んでなる実質的に透明な伝導層を支持体上に製造する方法であって、この層が真性伝導性重合体およびその中に該不均一に分布した伝導性金属を含んでなりそしてそれ自体で伝導体を形成する方法によっても実現される。
本発明に従う伝導層の第十一の態様によると、伝導層は界面活性剤をさらに含んでなる。
界面活性剤番号01=デュポン(DuPont)からのゾニル(ZONYL)TMFSN、イソプロパノールの水中50重量%溶液中のF(CF2CF2)1−9CH2CH2O(CH2CH2O)xH[式中、x=0〜約25である]の40重量%溶液;
界面活性剤番号02=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSN−100:F(CF2CF2)1−9CH2CH2O(CH2CH2O)xH[式中、x=0〜約25である];
界面活性剤番号03=デュポンからのゾニルTMFS300、弗素化された界面活性剤の40重量%水溶液;
界面活性剤番号04=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSO、エチレングリコールの水中50重量%溶液中の式F(CF2CF2)1−7CH2CH2O(CH2CH2O)yH[式中、y=0〜約15である]を有するエトキシル化された非イオン性フルオロ−界面活性剤の混合物の50重量%溶液;
界面活性剤番号05=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSO−100、式F(CF2CF2)1−7CH2CH2O(CH2CH2O)yH[式中、y=0〜約15である]を有するデュポンからのエトキシル化された非イオン性フルオロ−界面活性剤の混合物;
界面活性剤番号06=ゴールドシュミット(Goldschmidt)からのテゴグリド(Tegoglide)TM410、ポリシロキサン−重合体共重合体界面活性剤;
界面活性剤番号07=ゴールドシュミットからのテゴウェット(Tegowet)TM、ポリシロキサン−ポリエステル共重合体界面活性剤;
界面活性剤番号08=3Mからのフルオラド(FLUORAD)TMFC431:CF3(CF2)7SO2(C2H5)N−CH2CO−(OCH2CH2)nOH;
界面活性剤番号09=3MからのフルオラドTMFC126、ペルフルオロカルボン酸のアンモニウム塩の混合物;

本発明に従う伝導層の第十三の態様によると、伝導層はアニオン性界面活性剤をさらに含有する。
界面活性剤番号12=デュポンからのゾニルTM7950、弗素化された界面活性剤;
界面活性剤番号13=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSA、イソプロパノールの水中50重量%溶液中のF(CF2CF2)1−9CH2CH2SCH2CH2COOLiの25重量%溶液;
界面活性剤番号14=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSE、70重量%水性エチレングリコール溶液中の[F(CF2CF2)1−7CH2CH2O]xP(O)(ONH4)y[式中、x=1または2であり、y=2または1であり、そしてx+y=3である]の14重量%溶液;
界面活性剤番号15=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSJ、イソプロパノールの水中25重量%溶液中のF(CF2CF2)1−7CH2CH2O]xP(O)(ONH4)y[式中、x=1または2であり、y=2または1であり、そしてx+y=3である]と炭化水素界面活性剤との配合物の40重量%溶液;
界面活性剤番号16=デュポンからのゾニルTMFSP、イソプロパノールの水中69.2重量%溶液中の[F(CF2CF2)1−7CH2CH2O]xP(O)(ONH4)y[式中、x=1または2であり、y=2または1であり、そしてx+y=3である]の35重量%溶液;
界面活性剤番号17=デュポンからのゾニルTMUR:[F(CF2CF2)1−7CH2CH2O]xP(O)(OH)y[式中、x=1または2であり、y=2または1であり、そしてx+y=3である];

本発明に従う伝導層の第十四の態様によると、伝導層は結合剤をさらに含有する。
本発明に従う伝導層の第十五の態様によると、伝導層は架橋結合剤をさらに含有する。
本発明に従う伝導層の第十六の態様によると、支持体は透明または半透明である。
本発明の局面は、また、本発明に従うかまたは本発明に従う製造方法により製造される伝導層を含んでなるエレクトロルミネセント装置によっても実現される。
本発明の局面は、また、本発明に従うかまたは本発明に従う方法に従い製造される伝導層を含んでなる光電池装置によっても実現される。
本発明の局面は、また、本発明に従うかまたは本発明に従う方法に従い製造される伝導層を含んでなるトランジスターによっても実現される。
本発明に従う伝導層は、広範囲の電子装置、例えば光電池装置、太陽電池、電池、コンデンサ、発光ダイオード、有機および無機エレクトロルミネセント装置、スマート・ウィンドー、エレクトロクロミック装置、有機および生物有機物質用のセンサー並びに電界効果トランジスター、の中で使用することができる[Handbook of Oligo− and Polythiophenes, Edited by D.Fichou, Wiley−VCH, Heinheim(1999)の10章も参照のこと]。
頂部上の伝導性PEDOT/PSSとの拡散転写反応により製造される伝導性Ag−パターン
材料Aの製造:
物理的現像核(PdS)の製造は欧州特許出願公開第0769723号明細書の実施例に記載されている。この実施例から、溶液A1、B1およびC1を使用して核を製造した。1000mLのこのPdS分散液に、10gのアメリカン・シアナミド(American Cyanamid)からのアエロゾル(Aerosol)OTの10g/L水溶液および5gのペルフルオルカプリルアミド−ポリグリコールの50g/L溶液を加えた。この分散液を次に4μm厚さのゼラチン下塗り層を有するポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)支持体の上に13.5μmの湿潤層厚さまでコーティングしそして次に60分間にわたり25℃で乾燥した。これが材料Aである。
PEDOT/PSS分散液の製造
欧州特許出願公開第686662号明細書および米国特許第5,766,515号明細書は実施例の中で1.2%PEDOT/PSS水中分散液の製造を開示している。15mLのゾニルTMFSO100の2%水溶液、1.25gのダウ・コーニング(DOW CORNING)からのシランであるZ6040および25gのジエチレングリコールを106gのこの分散液に加えて以下の実施例で使用するPEDOT/PSS分散液を与えた。
材料Bの製造:
上記のPEDOT/PSS分散液を使用して材料Aを40μmの湿潤厚さまでコーティングしそして次に15分間にわたり100℃で乾燥し、それにより材料Cを製造した。
転写乳剤層の製造:
クロロ臭化銀乳剤の製造および転写乳剤層の製造は、適用されるハロゲン化銀の被覆率が2g/m2の代わりに1.25g/m2のAgNO3に相当したこと以外は、欧州特許出願公開第769723号明細書に開示された通りであった。
材料AおよびBの露出および現像:
転写乳剤層を図1に示されているように像通りに露出しそして受容体(材料Aおよび材料B)と接触させて25℃で10秒間にわたりアグファ−ゲベルト(AGFA−GEVAERT)TMCP297現像剤溶液を用いて処理した。
二重層電極構成の製造:
処理した材料Aを上記のPEDOT/PSS−分散液で50μmの湿潤層厚さまでコーティングしそして次に20分間にわたり120℃で乾燥した。PEDOT/PSS層の表面抵抗は材料Aの露出されなかった領域では約500Ω/平方であった。材料Cがそれにより製造された。
材料BおよびCの評価:
表面抵抗測定は以下の通りにして行われた:層電極構成を幅が3.5cmの片に切断して電極材料の完全な配置を確実にし、線接触を生成可能でありそしてテフロン(TEFLON)TM絶縁体上に設置されているそれぞれ長さが35mm、幅が3mmであり且つ35mm離れた平行な銅電極を片の最外側伝導層と接触させて3.5×3.5cm2の接触面積を与え、テフロンTM台の上に4kgの重りを置くことにより一定の接触力を確保し、そして表面抵抗を次にフルケ(Fluke)−77IIIマルチメーターを用いて直接測定した。
硫化パラジウム分散液の製造:
物理的現像核(PdS)の製造は欧州特許出願公開第0769723号明細書の実施例に記載されている。この実施例から、溶液A1、B1およびC1を使用して核を製造した。
材料Dの製造:
100gの上記のPEDOT/PSS分散液を3.35gのPdS−分散液と混合した。この混合物に1.25gのアエロゾルTMOT(アメリカン・シアナミド)の10g/L水溶液、0.625gのペルフルオルカプリルアミド−ポリグリコールの50g/L溶液および61.9mlの水を加えてコーティング分散液を与えた。この分散液をポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)フィルムおよび4μm厚さのゼラチン下塗り層よりなる支持体の上にドクターブレードを用いて50μmの湿潤層厚さまでコーティングしそして次に15分間にわたり100℃で乾燥して材料Dを製造した。
転写乳剤層の製造:
クロロ臭化銀乳剤の製造および転写乳剤層の製造は、適用されるハロゲン化銀の被覆率が2g/m2の代わりに1.25g/m2のAgNO3に相当したこと以外は、欧州特許出願公開第769723号明細書に開示された通りであった。
露出および現像
転写乳剤層を図1に示されているように像通りに露出しそして受容体と接触させて25℃で10秒間にわたりアグファ−ゲベルトTMCP297現像剤溶液を用いて処理した。
評価
表面抵抗および光学濃度測定は比較例1に関して以上で記載された通りにして行われ、そして結果を表2に示す。
0.014のゼラチン対銀比を有する記録計フィルムを用いて概念実験を行った。40μmの離隔距離を有する電極としての1×3cm2の露出された領域は、従来のグラフィック処理による処理で伝導性銀パターンを与えた。生じた電極パターンは50〜100オーム/平方の表面抵抗を有していた。
Claims (6)
- 支持体上の実質的に透明な伝導層であって、該層が真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる伝導層。
- 真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる実質的に透明な伝導層を支持体上に製造する方法であって、該銀パターンを写真処理により製造する段階を含んでなる方法。
- 真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる、支持体上の実質的に透明な伝導層を含んでなるか、或いは真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる実質的に透明な伝導層を支持体上に製造する方法であって、該銀パターンを写真処理により製造する段階を含んでなる方法により製造される伝導層を含んでなる発光ダイオード。
- 真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる、支持体上の実質的に透明な伝導層を含んでなるか、或いは真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる実質的に透明な伝導層を支持体上に製造する方法であって、該伝導性銀パターンを写真処理により製造する段階を含んでなる方法により製造される伝導層を含んでなる光電池装置(photovoltaic device)。
- 真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる、支持体上の実質的に透明な伝導層を含んでなるか、或いは真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる実質的に透明な伝導層を支持体上に製造する方法であって、該伝導性銀パターンを写真処理により製造する段階を含んでなる方法により製造される伝導層を含んでなるトランジスター。
- 真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる、支持体上の実質的に透明な伝導層を含んでなるか、或いは真性伝導性重合体およびそれ自体で伝導体を形成する伝導性銀パターンを含んでなる実質的に透明な伝導層を支持体上に製造する方法であって、該伝導性銀パターンを写真処理により製造する段階を含んでなる方法により製造される伝導層を含んでなるエレクトロルミネセント装置(electroluminescent device)。
