BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a flux application method and apparatus for applying a soldering flux to an object to be applied.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a width direction intersecting with a conveyance direction of a printed wiring board on which components are mounted (hereinafter, the printed wiring board is simply referred to as “substrate”) (hereinafter, a width direction intersecting with the board conveyance direction is simply referred to as “ Supporting both sides with a conveyor (referred to as "width direction"), while conveying the substrate by this conveyor, the flux is sprayed over the entire surface of the substrate by reciprocating the nozzle that sprays the flux against the substrate in the width direction of the substrate. It is applied.
[0003]
The nozzles are folded back and reciprocated at positions protruding from the one side and the other side of the substrate in the width direction, and the flux is uniformly applied to the entire width direction of the substrate (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-212019 (first page, FIG. 1)
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional flux coating method, the nozzle is folded back and forth at positions protruding from one side and the other side of the width direction of the substrate, so that the flux can be uniformly applied to the entire width direction of the substrate. Even if the parts are not mounted on both sides in the width direction and flux application is not required, the flux will be applied, and since the flux will be scattered outside the substrate, the flux will be applied to a single substrate. There is a problem that the amount of flux used necessary for this is increased, and the flux application efficiency is low.
[0006]
In addition, since the flux is scattered on both sides in the width direction of the substrate, there is a problem that the flux adheres around the conveyor or the like that conveys the substrate and becomes dirty.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a flux coating method and apparatus capable of improving the flux coating efficiency on the object to be coated and reducing contamination of the surroundings due to scattering of the flux. And
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention described in claim 1, conveying the medium to be coated for applying the flux, reciprocating Rutotomoni, the nozzle is reciprocated a nozzle flux in a width direction intersecting with respect to the transport direction of the medium to be coated is supplied The return position of the nozzle that reciprocates in the width direction intersecting the transport direction of the coated body is detected by the folded position detection unit that enables the position of the moving range to be adjusted in the width direction intersecting the transport direction of the coated body. It is a flux application method in which a flux non-application region is set on both sides in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the object to be applied, and the flux supplied from the nozzle is applied to the inner region from this flux non-application region, Since flux is not applied to the flux non-application areas on both sides of the coated body in the width direction, it is possible to prevent the flux from spreading to both sides of the coated body in the width direction. That the coating efficiency of the flux can be improved, thereby reducing the ambient soiling by splash of the flux. Furthermore, the flux non-application area can be easily adjusted.
[0009]
請 Motomeko invention described in 2, a nozzle for applying a conveying means for conveying the medium to be coated, the flux against the coated body transported by the transport means supplied with flux flux is applied, A nozzle moving means for reciprocating the nozzle in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the coated body, and a return position of the nozzle for reciprocating in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the coated body by the nozzle moving means are detected. It has a detection position adjusting means for adjusting the position of the folding position detection unit and the position of the folding position detection unit in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the coated body, on both sides in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the coated body. A flux application apparatus comprising a setting means for setting a flux non-application area and applying a flux supplied from a nozzle in an inner area from the flux non-application area. The flux is not applied to the non-flux coated area of the coated body, and the flux can be prevented from scattering on both sides in the width direction of the coated body, so that the flux application efficiency to the substrate can be improved and the flux scattered around Can be reduced. Furthermore, the flux non-application area can be easily adjusted.
[0010]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the flux coating apparatus according to the third aspect , the detection position adjusting means is interlocked with the adjustment of the folding position detection unit in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the coated object. Thus, there is provided display means for displaying the position information of the folding position detection unit, and the position of the folding position detection unit can be easily and reliably adjusted .

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the nozzle to which the flux is supplied is reciprocated in the width direction that intersects the transport direction of the coated body, and is set on both sides in the width direction that intersects the transport direction of the coated body. By applying the flux supplied from the nozzle to the inner area of the flux non-applied area, the flux is not applied to the flux non-applied areas on both sides in the width direction of the object to be coated. Since the flux can be prevented from being scattered, the flux application efficiency to the substrate can be improved, and the contamination of the surroundings due to the flux being scattered can be reduced. Further, the reciprocating range of the nozzle is a width where the position of the return position detecting unit that detects the return position of the nozzle that reciprocates in the width direction intersecting the transport direction of the coated body intersects the transport direction of the coated body. Since the adjustment is performed by moving in the direction, the flux non-application area can be easily adjusted.
[0041]
According to the invention 請 Motomeko 2, wherein the nozzle flux is supplied in a width direction intersecting with respect to the transporting direction of the member to be coated by the nozzle moving means is reciprocated with respect to the transporting direction of the member to be coated by setting means By applying the flux supplied from the nozzle to the inner area of the flux non-application area set on both sides of the intersecting width direction, the flux is not applied to the flux non-application areas on both sides of the object to be applied in the width direction. Since it is possible to prevent the flux from scattering to both sides of the body in the width direction, it is possible to improve the flux application efficiency to the substrate and reduce the contamination of the surroundings due to the flux scattering. Further, the setting means moves the position of the folding position detecting unit for detecting the folding position of the nozzle that reciprocates in the width direction intersecting the transport direction of the coated body in the width direction intersecting the transport direction of the coated body. Therefore, the flux non-application area can be adjusted easily.
[0042]
According to the invention of claim 3 , in order to display the position information of the folding position detection unit in conjunction with the adjustment of the folding position detection unit in the width direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the coated body, It is possible to easily and reliably adjust the position of the folding position detection unit .
