BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a transmission having a transmission and a differential in the same case, and particularly when hydraulic oil sealed in the case is pulled out of the left and right drive shafts from the differential. The present invention relates to a transmission that is prevented from coming out.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, a technique described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-213209 is known as a prior art that prevents hydraulic oil from leaking out when the left and right drive shafts are pulled out from the differential. In this publication, a cap member is provided on the side gear, and a seal member is provided between the side gear and the case, so that the hydraulic oil sealed inside does not leak without assembling the drive shaft. As a result, for example, when a transmission is delivered from a transmission manufacturer to a vehicle manufacturer, it is possible to deliver the transmission in a state of being filled with hydraulic oil. The removal work and the work of extracting the hydraulic oil once filled are alleviated, and the vehicle manufacturer does not need to add the hydraulic oil again.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described conventional technology, when the transmission is transported from the transmission manufacturer to the vehicle manufacturer, dust and dust adhere to the oil seal, which may reduce the durability of the oil seal.
[0004]
Generally, as a means for preventing dirt and dust from adhering to the oil seal, a dust shield for oil seal protection is press-fitted on the drive shaft side as described in JP-A-6-341513, and the drive Although a configuration for protecting the oil seal at the time of assembling the shaft is known, the drive shaft is not assembled at the time of transportation from the transmission manufacturer to the vehicle manufacturer, and thus the above-mentioned problem has not been solved.
[0005]
The present invention has been made paying attention to the above-described problems, and in a transmission that prevents hydraulic oil from leaking when the left and right drive shafts are pulled out from the differential gear, the transmission manufacturer to the vehicle manufacturer An object of the present invention is to provide a transmission capable of protecting an oil seal even during transportation to a vehicle.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a means for solving the above-mentioned problem, the invention according to
[0007]
In the invention according to claim 2, in the transmission according to
Forming an internal thread on the inner peripheral side of the extended portion of the side gear;
A cylindrical member, provided with a dust shield assembly having a male screw part engaged with the female screw on the outer periphery of one end, and the dust shield on the outer periphery of the other end of the male screw part,
The seal portion between the seal member and the side gear is protected from the outside of the case by engaging the dust shield assembly with the distal end side of the extended portion of the side gear.
[0008]
[Action and effect of the invention]
In the transmission according to
[0009]
Further, since the drive shaft is fitted to the differential device, usually by spline or serration, backlash (rattle, etc.) exists. Therefore, when a dust shield is provided on the drive shaft side as in the technique described in JP-A-6-341513, for example, backlash occurs in the radial direction between the dust shield and the oil seal, and sufficient sealing is achieved. Although it was difficult to say that the property was maintained, by providing the dust shield on the side gear, the sealing property between the oil seal and the dust shield can be improved, and the durability of the oil seal can be further improved. .
[0010]
In the transmission according to the second aspect, by providing the dust shield assembly and providing the dust shield assembly with the dust shield assembly, it is possible to improve the workability particularly at the time of disassembly. In other words, when disassembling a completed vehicle, it is disassembled by removing the drive shaft and removing the bolts of the transmission case. Here, the dust shield protects the oil seal from the outside of the case, and When the oil seal is pressed into the case, it is necessary to remove the dust shield provided on the side gear. At this time, by removing the dust shield assembly, even if the dust shield is formed of a thin member, it can be removed without being deformed, and the dust shield can be reused.
[0011]
