Description
【0001】
【0024】
製版部100の上方には、図示しないが、原稿を分離搬送するADF(auto document feeder)と、画像情報を読み取るCCD(charge coupled device)等からなる読み取り部からなるスキャナ装置が設けられている。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a stencil printing apparatus that performs printing by winding a master-making master around a plate cylinder.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The following are known as thermal digital stencil printing apparatuses. The outline of the printing process will be described. First, a master is wound around a rotatable plate cylinder having a structure in which a mesh screen of resin or metal net is wound in multiple layers. In this master, image information to be recorded by being brought into contact with a heating element of a multi-head in advance before being wound around a plate cylinder is perforated and engraved. The master has a laminate structure in which a thermoplastic resin film and a Japanese paper fiber or a synthetic fiber of a porous support, or a mixture of Japanese paper and a synthetic fiber are bonded together.
[0003]
An ink supply unit is provided inside the plate cylinder, and ink is supplied from the ink supply unit to the plate cylinder opening from the inside of the plate cylinder. A pressing means such as a press roller is provided on the outer peripheral portion of the plate cylinder so as to be able to come in contact with and separate from the outer periphery of the plate cylinder so that the sheet can be continuously pressed against the outer surface of the plate cylinder. The ink that has oozed out from the ink supply section through the plate cylinder opening through the master perforation section adheres to the paper pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder by the pressing means, and is printed.
[0004]
A plate cylinder used in a conventional stencil printing apparatus is called a porous cylindrical plate cylinder, and includes an opening through which ink oozes, a non-opening provided with a clamper and a stage for sandwiching the tip of the master. It is divided into.
[0005]
The size of the opening is set according to the maximum size paper to be printed. For example, if the A3 size paper is the maximum size paper that can be printed by the stencil printing apparatus, the plate has an opening length of about 420 mm. A cylinder is used, and a slightly longer master is wound around the used master so as to cover the rear end side of the opening.
[0006]
The master used for this plate cylinder is wound with a longer master so as to cover the rear end of the opening and allow for the clamping length of the clamper, the contact position of the press roller, and the like. The press roller presses and rotates on the plate cylinder in a range corresponding to the opening of the plate cylinder to press the paper.
[0007]
The paper used for printing is not always performed using the maximum size paper that can be printed, and a smaller size paper is generally used more frequently than the maximum size paper that can be printed.
[0008]
The plate cylinder is manufactured according to the maximum size paper, and a master that is wound around the plate cylinder is always used in accordance with the maximum size paper. For this reason, when printing using paper of a size smaller than the maximum size of paper that can be printed, there will be more margins that are not used for actual printing, along with ink that is attached to the master and discarded. There is a problem that the master is consumed in vain.
[0009]
For example, when printing A4 size paper with an A3 size plate cylinder, about 1/2 of the master is wasted. Therefore, a plurality of plate cylinders are prepared according to the size of the paper to be printed, and the master consumption is reduced by using the master by cutting it according to the size of the paper. Yes.
[0010]
However, this method is troublesome because it involves preparing a plurality of plate cylinders according to various sizes of paper, and attaching and detaching the plate cylinders according to the paper size, and it is particularly troublesome for color inks for multicolor printing. When preparing a printing cylinder (optional printing cylinder), a larger number of printing cylinders are required according to the ink and paper to be used, and the number of printing cylinders becomes enormous.
[0011]
Therefore, a type has been devised in which the printing range is switched according to the length of the paper to be used. In this type, the master to be used is supplied while being loosened from the state of being wound in a roll shape, and when the master end approaches, the situation is displayed on the operation panel and is replaced with a new roll by the operator.
[0012]
Conventionally, a sensor is generally disposed on the outer periphery of a roll master wound around a black roll core, and the master end is determined by determining the master end from the change in the reflectivity of the remaining amount of the master whose reflectivity and transmittance change. Since it is displayed, there is a problem that the master is wasted due to being detected as a master end even if the remaining amount is still large.
[0013]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a stencil printing apparatus that can use a master wound in a roll shape without waste.
[0014]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the object, the present invention has the following configuration.
(1). The original image is added to the plate cylinder supported so as to be rotatable about its own axis.heatA master that has been punched and engraved is wound around to feed the paper and pressPressureIn a stencil printing apparatus for performing printing by bringing a means into and out of a plate cylinder, a cutting means for cutting the master, a detecting means for detecting a rearmost end of the master that does not need to be cut by the cutting means, and the paper A standard printing pressure unit that presses the pressing unit against the plate cylinder in accordance with the length of the printing cylinder, and a printing pressure release unit that can release the pressing of the pressing unit to the plate cylinder by the standard printing pressure unit.,
Depending on the length of the master wound around the plate cylinder and the position of the image in the master, the printing pressure release means functions to cause the standard printing pressure means to apply to the plate cylinder in the middle of the paper. The press of the pressing means is released to print,
The rear end position of the master when the length of the master is less than the length of the paper, and the image in the master is in a position that includes all the images of the original and is all contained in the master. The printing pressure release means is made to function in accordance with the release of the pressing means.(Claim 1).
(2). (1) In the stencil printing apparatus described above,The case where the length of the master is less than the length of the paper is the length to the last rear end portion of the master that does not need to be cut by the cutting means.(Claim 2).
(3). In the stencil printing apparatus according to (1) or (2),The position immediately after this image when the length of the master corresponds to the length of the paper and the image in the master is in a position that includes all the images of the original and is all within the master. The printing pressure releasing means functions to release the pressing of the pressing means.(Claim 3).
