Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet used indoors and outdoors, and a white toner.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the surface of a relatively flexible thermoplastic resin film substrate is used for, for example, a signboard, advertising tower, shutter, show window, etc. used outdoors. Used for a wide range of applications such as advertising stickers; decorative stripe stickers used for vehicles such as automobiles and motorcycles and ships such as motor boats; display stickers used for traffic signs, road signs, information boards, etc. It is also called a marking sheet (marking film).
[0003]
In such a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, the appearance of the product is regarded as important. In particular, in the case of a signboard for outdoor decoration, it is required to develop a highly saturated color.
In order to express a color with high saturation, two types of methods are known. The first method is a method for improving the saturation by applying the white adhesive applied to the transparent colored film and reflecting the light transmitted through the transparent colored film by the white adhesive layer. The second method is a method in which a white film layer is further laminated on the transparent colored film, and the saturation is improved by utilizing the fact that the light transmitted through the transparent colored film is reflected by the white film layer. These two methods are often used in decorative adhesive sheets.
[0004]
However, when a white pressure sensitive adhesive is used as in the first method, the amount of white pigment that can be added to the pressure sensitive adhesive is naturally limited. There was a problem that if the white pigment was added beyond the limit, the required properties of the pressure-sensitive adhesive could not be satisfied.
In addition, as in the second method, it is a good technique to achieve both saturation and concealment, but it is necessary to produce two types of films and laminate them. The number of processes increases and the cost increases. In addition, since the film thickness is increased by forming two layers, there is a possibility that the workability may be deteriorated or the film may float from the release paper while being stored in a roll shape, resulting in abnormal appearance. .
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
That is, a method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet that can satisfy the concealing property of an adherend only by providing a white pressure-sensitive adhesive layer as described above has not been known.
The present invention has been completed in view of the problems in the conventional method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, and has been completed by paying attention to a white pressure-sensitive adhesive coating method. The purpose of the present invention is a decoration having excellent adherend hiding properties. Another object of the present invention is to provide a cost-effective production method of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for use in the present invention and a white toner used in the production method.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention, a white toner is prepared by uniformly dispersing a white pigment and an acrylic resin having a Tg of −10 ° C. or less. With the white pressure-sensitive adhesive composition obtained by mixing the white pigment 3 to 50 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side of the colored film having a total light transmittance of 3 to 80%, Provided is a method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet that forms a white pressure-sensitive adhesive layer containing 10 to 150% by weight of an acrylic resin relative to a white pigment.
[0007]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided the white toner used in the method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet according to the first aspect, in which a white pigment and an acrylic resin having a Tg of −10 ° C. or lower are uniformly dispersed. provide.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail.
[0008]
In the present invention, the colored film used as the base material for the decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has a total light transmittance of 3 to 80%. If it is lower than 3%, the saturation is not improved even if a white layer is provided on the ground. On the other hand, if it exceeds 80%, sufficient concealing property cannot be obtained even if a white layer is provided on the base.
Examples of the material of such a colored film include soft vinyl chloride resin, acrylic resin, polyethylene terephthalate, polyurethane and the like, and soft vinyl chloride resin is preferably used from a comprehensive viewpoint such as various physical properties and costs.
A desired color can be obtained by blending these resins with various pigments conventionally used for coloring.
[0009]
Examples of the pigment include azo series such as Lake Red C and Hansa Yellow, phthalocyanine series such as phthalocyanine blue and phthalocyanine green, selenium series such as indanthrene blue and perylene orange, dye lakes such as rhodamine lake and eosin lake, quinacridone red, Examples include quinacridone magenta, dioxane violet, cadmium yellow, chrome vermillion, carbon black, and titanium oxide.
[0010]
Moreover, you may add a plasticizer, a pigment, a heat stabilizer, an extender, a ultraviolet absorber, a solvent, etc. as needed.
Examples of the plasticizer include phosphoric acid plasticizers such as tributyl phosphate, tri-2-ethylhexyl phosphate, and triphenyl phosphate, diethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, and phthalic acid. Examples thereof include phthalic acid plasticizers such as diisononyl, adipic acid plasticizers such as dibutyl adipate, di-n-hexyl adipate, di-2-ethylhexyl adipate, and diisononyl adipate.
[0011]
Examples of the heat stabilizer include epoxidized vegetable oils such as epoxidized soybean oil and epoxidized linseed oil, epoxidized alicyclic compounds such as epoxidized fatty acid esters and epoxidized tetrahydrophthalate, bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, and epoxidized polybutadiene. In addition, organic stabilizers such as tributyl phosphite and triisooctyl phosphite, and metal stabilizers such as Ba / Zn stabilizer, Ba / Pb stabilizer, and Ca / Zn stabilizer can be used. Among them, epoxidized soybean oil has a function as a plasticizer in addition to a heat stabilizer and is suitable for calendar molding. 1
[0012]
Examples of the extender include calcium carbonate, talc (chlorine magnesium silicate), kaolin (aluminum silicate), silica and the like.
Examples of the ultraviolet absorber include salicylate-based, O-hydroxybenzophenone-based, and O-hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole-based ones, and those obtained by increasing the molecular weight are excellent in stability over time.
[0013]
When vinyl chloride resin is used as the resin for the colored film, the solvent for the sol is a dispersion solvent that slightly swells the resin at room temperature to promote dispersion, and is insoluble in the resin and lowers the sol viscosity to swell the dispersion solvent. It is preferable to mix and use a diluting solvent for suppressing the property. In addition, a mixed solvent composed of a petroleum fraction may be used in consideration of industrial profitability. Dispersing solvents include ketones such as DIBK and MIBK, esters such as butyl acetate, glycol ethers, etc., and dilution solvents include paraffinic, naphthenic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, terpenes, etc. For example, Solvesso, Exol, Isopar (Exxon Chemical) may be used.
[0014]
In the present invention, when a white pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is applied to one side of the colored film, first, a white toner is prepared by uniformly dispersing a white pigment and an acrylic resin having a Tg of −10 ° C. or lower.
The acrylic resin used for the preparation of the white toner needs to have a Tg (glass transition temperature) of −10 ° C. or lower. This is because when the Tg exceeds −10 ° C., it is difficult to uniformly disperse the white pigment because the acrylic resin is hard when the white pigment and the acrylic resin are kneaded.
By using an acrylic resin having a Tg of −10 ° C. or lower, as will be described later, a sufficient amount of a white pigment capable of ensuring the concealability of the adherend only by the action of the white adhesive is added to the acrylic resin. It can be uniformly dispersed.
[0015]
Moreover, when Tg of the said acrylic resin is high, Tg of the whole white adhesive will also become high and the adhesiveness at the time of low temperature will fall. Thereby, for example, workability in a cold region may be adversely affected. If the acrylic resin has a Tg of −10 ° C. or lower, such a problem does not occur.
[0016]
Polymers of (meth) acrylic acid ester monomers are frequently used for acrylic resins having a Tg of −10 ° C. or lower, and are generally (meth) acrylic acid esters of alcohols having an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, preferably carbon. A (meth) acrylic acid ester having an alkyl group of several 4 to 12 is used. In addition, (meth) acrylic acid ester means acrylic acid ester or / and methacrylic acid ester.
Specific examples of (meth) acrylic acid ester monomers include methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, isopropyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, isopropyl methacrylate, methacrylic acid. Examples thereof include n-butyl, isobutyl methacrylate, n-hexyl methacrylate, and lauryl methacrylate.

In addition, as a monomer constituting the acrylic resin, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid, itaconic acid, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, hydroxypropyl methacrylate, acrylamide, N-methylol, N-methylolacrylamide, Examples include diacetone acrylamide, glycidyl methacrylate, styrene, vinyl acetate, acrylonitrile and the like, and these monomers and the above (meth) acrylic acid ester monomers are used alone or in combination for polymerization, and Tg is -10. An acrylic resin having a temperature of ℃ or less is used.
[0018]
The white pigment used for the preparation of the white toner is not particularly limited as long as it does not affect the performance of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and can be colored white. For example, titanium oxide, zinc white, calcium carbonate, aluminum oxide and the like can be mentioned, and titanium oxide is preferably used in terms of coloring power and hiding power. In order to improve the stability, dispersibility, and weather resistance of the white pigment, the pigment may be subjected to a surface treatment such as an organic treatment, a silicone treatment, or an alumina treatment.
[0019]
In the method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the present invention, the white pigment is added in an amount of 3 to 50 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the pressure-sensitive adhesive by appropriately setting the ratio of the white pigment and the acrylic resin when producing the white toner. A white pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing 10 to 150% by weight of an acrylic resin with respect to the white pigment is obtained. If the ratio of the acrylic resin is too low, the dispersibility of the white pigment and the acrylic resin becomes insufficient, and if it is too high, the concentration of the acrylic resin in the pressure-sensitive adhesive increases, which may adversely affect the adhesiveness.
[0020]
In order to prepare a white toner by uniformly dispersing the white pigment and the acrylic resin, for example, a method of kneading both using a roll mill, a ball mill or the like can be mentioned.
The average particle size of the white toner is desirably 10 μm or less. When the average particle size of the white toner exceeds 10 μm, the appearance of the white adhesive layer is poor due to the thickness of the white adhesive layer when mixed with the adhesive to obtain a white adhesive, and sufficient light diffusibility cannot be obtained. The hiding property of the adherend surface is insufficient, and the target decorative adhesive sheet with high saturation cannot be obtained.
[0021]
As the pressure-sensitive adhesive used in the white pressure-sensitive adhesive, general-purpose pressure-sensitive adhesives such as rubber, acrylic and silicone can be used. Among them, it is desirable to use an acrylic adhesive from the viewpoint of weather resistance and cost.
In order to further improve the weather resistance, an ultraviolet absorber may be blended in the pressure-sensitive adhesive. The number of added parts is preferably 1 to 6 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin content of the adhesive.
[0022]
As a method for producing the white pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, it is desirable to dilute the toner by mixing a preliminarily prepared white toner and a solvent, and then add this to the pressure-sensitive adhesive solution. If only the white toner is directly put into the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the solid content increases, the viscosity of the pressure-sensitive adhesive solution increases, and workability and coating properties may deteriorate.
The solvent used for dilution is preferably the same as the solvent contained in the pressure-sensitive adhesive, and aromatic, polyester, and ketone solvents such as ethyl acetate, toluene, xylene, methyl ethyl ketone, and methyl isobutyl ketone are used. be able to. Moreover, you may add a hardening | curing agent to a white adhesive composition.
[0023]
The thickness of the white pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is preferably 20 to 50 μm. If it is less than 20 μm, there is a possibility that the physical properties and concealment properties cannot be sufficiently exhibited, and if it exceeds 50 μm, it is not practical from the viewpoint of cost and productivity.
[0024]
In order to obtain the colored film in the present invention, for example, a casting molding method obtained by casting a polyvinyl chloride sol dispersed in a solvent on the surface of a process paper, drying and curing, a highly productive calendar molding method, etc. Can be adopted.
It is practically preferable that the thickness of the colored film is 40 to 120 μm. When the thickness is less than 40 μm, the sheet is too thin, the tensile strength is weakened, and workability tends to be adversely affected. If it exceeds 120 μm, the sheet becomes stiff, and in this case, workability is liable to be adversely affected.
[0025]
Further, in order to form an adhesive layer on one side of the colored film in the present invention, usually, the adhesive composition is applied to one side of a high-quality paper or the like subjected to release treatment on both sides, and is dried if necessary. After curing to form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a method of transferring and laminating the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer by superposing and pressing the colored film with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer under heating at about 35 to 45 ° C. is adopted, but in some cases The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition can be directly applied onto a colored film and dried to form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
[0026]
(Function)
In the method for producing a decorative pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the present invention, the amount of white pigment is increased and the uniform dispersibility is remarkably increased by setting the Tg of the acrylic resin used for toner preparation to -10 ° C. or lower. It was possible to satisfy the sufficient concealability of the adherend only by providing the white pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
Moreover, since the Tg of the entire white pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is not increased, workability in a cold district or the like can also be improved.
[0027]
