ここで、max(f(x,y,z) for x,y,z)はf(x,y,z)のx,y,zに関する最大値を表す。
【0050】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a synthetic aperture radar apparatus that observes and images the ground surface and the sea surface, for example.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a conventional synthetic aperture radar apparatus, a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) sensor emits a high-frequency pulse signal to a target, receives a reflection signal of the high-frequency pulse signal, generates a reception signal, and a vibration sensor generates a high-frequency signal from the SAR sensor. The position of the mobile platform at the time when the pulse signal is emitted is observed, and the SAR image is reproduced from the received signal and the position of the mobile platform. Here, the SAR image is a two-dimensional high-resolution image.
[0003]
When the moving platform moves along a predetermined trajectory, the synthetic aperture radar apparatus reproduces the SAR image. However, the phase error of the received signal with respect to the center of the SAR image generated by the movement of the moving platform out of the predetermined trajectory is Depending on the position of the target in the SAR image, the fluctuation compensation process compensates the entire SAR image with the center value of the SAR image, assuming that this difference is sufficiently small.
[0004]
However, when the movement platform is greatly shaken, the phase error of the received signal based on the center of the SAR image that differs for each target increases, and in the autofocus process that estimates and compensates for the phase error, the received signal in the SAR image is increased. Since the processing is performed assuming that the phase error is constant, a large phase error cannot be compensated for, and the resolution of the SAR image deteriorates.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The conventional synthetic aperture radar apparatus is configured as described above. Since the size of the SAR image to be reproduced at a time is constant regardless of the state of the mobile platform's shaking, when the shaking of the mobile platform increases, the SAR There has been a problem that the phase error of the received signal with respect to the center of the image becomes large, and the resolution of the SAR image to be reproduced deteriorates.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems. By determining the image size of the SAR image to be reproduced at one time according to the shaking state of the mobile platform, the center of the SAR image is used as a reference. An object of the present invention is to obtain a synthetic aperture radar apparatus capable of suppressing the phase error of the received signal in the SAR image and increasing the resolution of the SAR image.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Synthetic aperture radar apparatus according to the present invention,In a synthetic aperture radar device mounted on a mobile platform to obtain a SAR image of the ground surface or the sea surface, a SAR sensor that radiates a high-frequency pulse signal, receives the reflected signal and outputs a received signal, and the position, speed, Based on the motion sensor that outputs the motion data of acceleration, and the motion data output from the motion sensor, the phase error of the received signal due to the motion of the mobile platform relative to the center of the SAR image is a predetermined value at the periphery of the SAR image. An image size determining unit that determines an image size of a SAR image to be reproduced at one time and a reception signal output from the SAR sensor are input so that the SAR image having the image size determined by the image size determining unit is input. The image replay processing unit to be replayed and the motion set determined by the motion sensor specifications An image of a SAR image to be reproduced at a time in consideration of the measurement error of the motion sensor stored in the measurement error model. Determine the sizeIs.

In the subsequent processing, each point (x in the SAR image having a length W of one side assumed is assumed.t, Yt), That is, each point (x satisfying the following formula (2):t, Yt), The phase error of the received signal decreases as it approaches the center of the SAR image. Each point (xt, Yt), That is, each point (x satisfying the following expression (3):t, Yt), The maximum phase error of the received signal in the assumed SAR image can be obtained.

In step ST12, each point (x on the periphery of the assumed SAR image having a side length W) (xt, Yt) Phase φ of each received signalPBAnd the phase φ of the received signal at the center of the SAR imageQAIs obtained as follows. Where phase φPBIndicates the phase of the received signal obtained by observing the point B from the position P of the antenna phase center in FIG.QA3 shows the phase of the received signal obtained by observing point A from point Q in FIG. Note that the point Q coincides with the point P when the measurement error of the
[0028]
Here, the assumed SAR image reproduction process with the length W of one side will be described.
The SAR image reproduction process is performed by compressing a received signal spread in two dimensions in the range direction and the hit direction to one point which is a target coordinate by the polar format method.
[0029]
FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining processing of the polar format method. Each of a range direction FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), multiplication with a range compression reference signal, phase compensation, interpolation, range direction IFFT (Inverse FFT), and azimuth direction FFT. The SAR image is reproduced by processing.
[0030]
In FIG. 6, the received signal is FFTed in the range direction of the received signal and multiplied by a reference signal for range compression. The reference signal for range compression is an FFT of a signal that has been subjected to frequency modulation with the opposite slope to the transmitted high-frequency pulse signal.
[0031]
Next, the phase corresponding to the distance to the center of the SAR image is set as the received signal s.1Compensation from phase compensation processing and received signal s after phase compensation processing2The signal in the azimuth direction is compressed by processing the received signal so that the signal sequence in the hit direction of the received signal becomes a sine wave by the process of interpolating. This procedure will be briefly described with reference to FIGS. Here, for the sake of simplicity, description will be made assuming that the mobile platform is not shaken.
[0032]
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a plane ω including the triangle CPA of FIG. 3, in which B is a point target, η is an angle CAP, φACPIs the corner ACP. The Y ′ axis is defined as an axis on a straight line where the plane ω intersects the plane YZ, and the X ′ axis is defined as an axis orthogonal to the Y ′ axis on the plane ω. The
[0033]
Now, in FIG. 6, the received signal immediately after being multiplied by the reference signal for range compression is s.1Then, the polar format is the received signal s.1Phase φ corresponding to the length of line segment PAPAIs compensated by the following equation (4) and the received signal s2Is generated.
[Equation 3]
[0034]
Next, the received signal s2Is mapped onto the polar coordinates (λ, η) in the spatial frequency domain shown in FIG.p, Yp) Resample up to achieve azimuth signal compression. Cartesian coordinate system (Xp, Yp) And the polar coordinate system (λ, η) are shown in the following equations (5) and (6).
[Expression 4]
[0035]
For example, in the case of a chirp modulation signal, the received signal s2(Λ, η) is mapped to the fan-shaped area shown in FIG. 8, and the received signal recorded for the rectangle in the fan-shaped area is represented by XpAxis and YpImages can be obtained by resampling at equal intervals along the axis and Fourier transforming each. At this time, XpThe result of Fourier transform along the axis is the azimuth axis X ′, YpThe result of Fourier transform along the axis is mapped to the range axis Y '. The above is the principle of the polar format.
[0036]
X in the X-axis direction from the center point A of the observation areat, Y in the Y-axis directiontLet B be the remote target. Since the position of the antenna phase center of the mobile platform is the point P, the received signal s of FIG.1Phase φPBIs represented by the following equation (7). Where R0Represents the distance between the antenna phase center C at the center of the synthetic aperture and the point A at the center of the observation region.

As described above, each point (x on the periphery of the assumed SAR image in step ST12 in FIG.t, Yt) Phase φ of each received signalPBAnd the phase φ of the received signal at the center of the SAR imageQAIs required.
[0039]
In step ST13 of FIG. 4, each point (xt, Yt) Phase φ of each received signalPBAnd the phase φ of the received signal at the center of the SAR imageQAThe phase of the difference betweenBIs obtained by the following equation (9).
[Expression 7]
This phase difference φBIs a received signal s after phase compensation processing that compensates the phase corresponding to the distance to the center of the SAR image in the polar format.2It becomes the phase.

In step ST14, Cartesian coordinate axis XpIn order to determine the phase error of the received signal generated above, based on the principle of the polar format, as shown below, the phase φBCartesian coordinate axis XpIt is expressed by the function of
[0041]
The polar format method uses X in the spatial frequency domain.pAn image in the azimuth direction is obtained by Fourier transforming the received signal along Therefore, here, as shown in FIG.p= Yp0= 2 / λ0Consider the received signal on the straight line. Where λ0Is λ0= 2 / Yp0It is an instantaneous wavelength that satisfies As can be seen from FIG. 8, the straight line Yp= Yp0= 2 / λ0The above received signal is observed under the conditions of the next instantaneous wavelength λ and angle η. Here, λ and η satisfying the relationship of the following equations (10) and (11) are selected and observed, and the straight line Y in FIG.p= Yp0Assume that the received signal is obtained above.
[Equation 8]
[0042]
Further, the sine theorem is applied to the triangle CPA in FIG. 7 to obtain the following expression (12). Furthermore, φACPThe following equation (13) holds for. Here, ● represents the inner product of the vectors.
[Equation 9]
[0043]
In this way, using the expressions (1), (7), (8), (10), (11), (12), and (13), φ in the expression (9) that is a function of the time tB, Cartesian coordinate axis XpCan be expressed as a function of First, Equation (9) is the difference between Equation (7) and Equation (8), and Equations (7) and (8) can be obtained as a function of time t using Equation (1), respectively. On the other hand, time t and Cartesian coordinate axis XpCan be obtained from equations (10), (11), (12), and (13) using λ and η as parameters. Calculated time t and Cartesian coordinate axis XpBy performing variable conversion using the relational expression, the phase φ is expressed as shown in the following expression (14).BCartesian coordinate axis XpCan be expressed as a function of

In step ST15, the phase φ in the case where the movement platform motion is completely compensatedB' The polar format method assumes that the wavefront of radio wave propagation is a plane in the observation region. Therefore, the phase φ after the phase compensation processing of the polar format method so as to satisfy this conditionB'BAnd φBTaking the difference of ′, the phase error due to the movement of the moving platform can be obtained in the polar format method. Φ obtained by this assumptionB'Is represented by the following equation (15). Here, PA represents the position vector of point A with respect to point P, and AB represents the position vector of point B with respect to point A.

[0045]
In step ST16, based on the principle of the polar format, the phase φB'Is Cartesian coordinate axis XpIt is expressed by the function of Here, in the same manner as in step ST14, the phase φ in equation (15), which is a function of time t, according to equations (10) to (13).B'Is a Cartesian coordinate axis X as shown in the following equation (16):pExpressed as a function of
[Expression 12]
[0046]
In step ST17, the phase error Δφ due to the shaking of the mobile platformBIs obtained by the following equation (17) using the above equations (14) and (16).
[Formula 13]
[0047]
The phase error due to the shaking of the mobile platform decreases as it approaches the center of the SAR image. For this reason, if the image size is limited in accordance with the movement of the mobile platform, resolution degradation in the image can be suppressed to a certain value or less.
[0048]
In Step ST18, the phase error Δφ due to the movement of the moving platform with reference to the center of the SAR image.ABIs obtained by the following equation (18). This phase error ΔφABIs expressed in the X-axis direction from the center A of the observation region as shown in the equation (18).t, Y in the Y-axis directiontIt can be obtained from the difference between the phase error occurring at the target B at a distant point and the phase error occurring at the center A of the observation region.
[Expression 14]
[0049]
In step ST19, the length W of one side of the SAR image to be reproduced assumed in step ST11 is changed, and the processing from steps ST12 to ST18 is repeated, and a predetermined threshold value Δφ is obtained by the following equation (19).threMaximum phase error Δφ not exceedingABAnd the length W of one side at that time is determined as the image size of the SAR image to be reproduced at one time. Here, max (f (x, y, z) for x, y, z) represents the maximum value for x, y, z of f (x, y, z).
[Expression 15]
[0050]
Further, a predetermined threshold value ΔφthreIs set according to the allowable resolution degradation. For example, in the case where the center of the SAR image is imaged by the autofocus method, in order not to degrade the resolution even at the periphery of the SAR image, Δφthre= Π / 4.
[0051]
When the W obtained by the above processing is set to the length of one side of the image to be reproduced at once, and the image

A motion sensor that outputs motion data of the position, speed, and acceleration of the mobile platform;
A measurement error model storing the measurement error of the vibration sensor determined by the specification of the vibration sensor;
Taking into account the measurement error of the vibration sensor so that the phase error of the vibration data output from the vibration sensor and the received signal due to the movement of the mobile platform relative to the center of the SAR image is less than or equal to a predetermined value at the periphery of the SAR image. A motion data-image size correspondence table storing correspondence with the image size of the SAR image to be reproduced at once calculated in advance,
The image size of the SAR image to be reproduced at one time is determined by referring to the motion data-image size correspondence table based on the motion data output from the motion sensor and the motion error of the motion sensor stored in the measurement error model. An image size determination unit to perform,
A synthetic aperture radar apparatus comprising: an image reproduction processing unit that receives a reception signal output from the SAR sensor and reproduces a SAR image having an image size determined by the image size determination unit.
