Claims (4)
- 看者によって単一の3次元画像として知覚されるとともに左目用画像と右目用画像とを含むステレオ投影画像を投影面上に投影するように構成された投影システムであって、
光線を生成するように構成された光源と、
前記投影面上に前記ステレオ投影画像を投影するように構成された投影レンズと、
前記光源と前記投影レンズとの間に光学的に配置される、前記光線を偏光された左画像用光線および偏光された右画像用光線に分けるように構成された偏光ビームスプリッタと、
デュアルタイプの画像生成エレメントと、
前記光源と前記偏光ビームスプリッタとの間に光学的に配置される可変リターダとを備え、前記デュアルタイプの画像生成エレメントが、
前記偏光ビームスプリッタと前記投影レンズとの間に光学的に配置される、前記左目用画像を生成して前記左画像用光線を前記偏光ビームスプリッタに導くように構成された左画像生成エレメントと、
前記偏光ビームスプリッタと前記投影レンズとの間に光学的に配置される、前記右目用画像を生成して前記右画像用光線を前記偏光ビームスプリッタに導くように構成された右画像生成エレメントとを備え、
前記左画像生成エレメント及び前記右画像生成エレメントが、前記光線の偏りの変更に同調されるようにして前記左目用画像と前記右目用画像とを交互に生成するように構成されており、前記可変リターダが偏光回復を可能にして画像強度を増加させる構成である、投影システム。 - 交互に、前記左画像用光線が前記左画像生成エレメント上に導かれ、前記右画像用光線が前記右画像生成エレメント上に導かれるように構成された、請求項1記載の投影システム。
- 偏光された光線を出力するように構成されたクリーンアップ偏光子をさらに備える、請求項2記載の投影システム。
- 前記可変リターダが、前記偏光ビームスプリッタの極性を交互に変更するように構成されている、請求項3記載の投影システム。
