実施例2
127gのN-メチル-2-ピロリドン(NMP)中の、18.5g(0.045mol)の2,2-ビス[4-(4-アミノフェノキシ)フェニル]プロパン(BAPP)、2.47g(0.005mol)のCH-1及び10.9g(0.05mol)の1,2,4,5-ベンゼンジ無水物(PMDA)の混合物を室温で25時間反応させた。次いで、478gのNMPを加え反応液を希釈して、粘度が1.00dl/gに減少したポリアミン酸溶液を得た。このポリアミン酸溶液を、透明電極を有する2枚のガラス基板上にスピン・コーティングする(3500rpm)。塗膜を250℃で60分加熱してポリイミド樹脂膜を各基板上に形成した。基板を冷却した後、前記膜をブラシでラビングして配向して整列膜を形成した。次いで、50マイクロメーターのスペーサー材によってこれら2枚の基板を組み立て、平行液晶セルを作製した。最後に、液晶(ZL1-2293、メルク社製)をこれら2枚の基板間に注入した。交差ニコルプリズムの間でこのセルは回転した。明暗の別は良好である。整列膜のプレチルト角は、チルト角テスターによる測定で5.2である。
126gのNMP中の20.5g(0.05mol)のBAPP及び10.9g(0.05mol)のPMDAの混合物を室温で15時間反応させた。次いで、470gのNMPを添加して反応液を希釈することにより、粘度が1.22dl/gに減少したポリアミン酸溶液を得た。このポリアミン酸溶液を、透明電極を有する2枚のガラス基板上にスピン・コーティングする(3500rpm)。塗膜を250℃で60分加熱して、ポリイミド樹脂膜を各基板上に形成した。基板を冷却した後、前記膜をブラシでラビングして配向し、整列膜を形成した。次いで、50マイクロメーターのスペーサー材によってこれら2枚の基板を組み立て、平行液晶セルを作製した。最後に、液晶(ZL1-2293、メルク社製)をこれら2枚の基板間に注入した。交差ニコルプリズムの間でこのセルは回転した。明暗の別は良好である。整列膜のプレチルト角は、チルト角テスターによる測定で2.6である。
133gのNMP中の20.5g(0.05mol)のBAPP、5.4g(0.025mol)のPMDA及び7.4g(0.025mol)のBPDAの混合物を室温で20時間反応させた。次いで、500gのNMPを添加して反応液を希釈することにより、粘度が1.15dl/gに減少したポリアミン酸溶液を得た。このポリアミン酸溶液を、透明電極を有する2枚のガラス基板上にスピン・コーティングする(3500rpm)。塗膜を250℃で60分加熱し、ポリイミド樹脂膜を各基板上に形成した。基板を冷却した後、前記膜をブラシでラビングして配向し、整列膜を形成した。次いで、50マイクロメーターのスペーサー材によってこれら2枚の基板を組み立て、平行液晶セルを作製した。最後に、液晶(ZL1-2293、メルク社製)をこれら2枚の基板間に注入した。交差ニコルプリズムの間でこのセルは回転した。明暗の別は良好である。整列膜のプレチルト角は、チルト角テスターによる測定で3.0である。
Claims (7)
- R1 がメチルである、請求項1に記載のジアミン誘導体。
- 塩基が、IA及びIIA金属の炭酸塩、トリメチルアミン、トリエチルアミン、及びジイソプロピルエチルアミンからなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 有機溶媒が、ジクロロエタン、メタンジクロリド、クロロホルム、アセトン、ブタノン、N−メチルピロリドン(NMP)、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミド(DMAC)、N,N−ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)からなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 液晶ディスプレーセル中で整列膜材料として用いるためのポリイミド樹脂であって、テトラカルボン酸あるいはその無水物誘導体とジアミンとの間の重合反応によって得られ、前記ジアミンは、請求項1に記載の式(1)のジアミン誘導体の一種以上を少なくとも5mol%含有するものである、ポリイミド樹脂。
- ジアミンが請求項1に記載の式(1)のジアミン誘導体の一種以上を少なくとも20mol%含有するものである、請求項6に記載のポリイミド樹脂。
