Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tool holder structure and a tool holding device capable of dampening vibrations of a cutting tool, for example.
[0002]
[Prior art]
When machining a deep groove in a workpiece, a cutting tool having a length corresponding to the depth of the groove is used. However, if the cutting tool becomes longer, vibrations are likely to occur during cutting. If vibration occurs in the cutting tool, the life of the cutting tool is shortened, and there is a possibility that the processing accuracy of the deep groove cannot be sufficiently ensured.
In order to solve this problem, for example, a “turning tool” in JP-A-6-31507 has been proposed, and the gist of this technique is shown in the following figure.

[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a holder main body having a tool gripping means for detachably fixing a tool to the tip and a back surface of the tool gripped by the tool gripping means to dampen vibration. A damping member that contacts the back surface of the damping member and absorbs vibration energy, an elastic member that presses the damping weight against the tool through the damping member, and a spring end that holds the elastic member to the holder body A tool holder structure is formed from the fixing member.
[0008]
When vibration is generated in the holder main body, the vibration absorbing weight supported by the damping member and the elastic member vibrates, so that the vibration of the holder main body can be attenuated. Further, since the damping member is in contact with the back surface of the tool, the vibration generated in the tool can be attenuated by the damping member.
Further, since the tool is attached to the holder body by the tool gripping means, the tool can be easily attached and detached. For this reason, for example, when the cutting edge of a tool is worn out, it can be replaced with a new tool without taking time.
[0009]
A second aspect comprises a tool holder according to the first aspect, a shank for attaching the tool holder to a spindle of a machine tool, and a gripping flange formed on the shank for inserting / removing the shank into / from the spindle. Any one of removing the shank from the shank, detaching the tool holder from the shank, and detaching the tool from the tool holder can be freely performed.
[0010]
Since the shank can be removed from the spindle and the tool holder can be removed from the shank, the shank can be replaced to adapt the tool holder to other machine tools.
Further, since the tool can be easily removed from the tool holder, for example, even if the cutting edge of the tool is worn, it can be replaced with a new tool and the tool holder can be used continuously.

【The invention's effect】
The present invention exhibits the following effects by the above configuration.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the tool is attached to the holder body by the collet chuck, the tool can be easily attached and detached. For this reason, for example, when the cutting edge of a tool is worn out, it can be replaced with a new tool without taking time, so that the usability is improved.
[0033]
Further, when vibration is generated in the holder main body, the vibration absorbing weight supported by the damping member and the elastic member vibrates, and the vibration of the holder main body can be attenuated. Further, since the damping member is in contact with the back surface of the tool, vibration generated in the tool can be damped by the damping member. Thus, since the vibration of each of the holder main body and the tool can be damped, the life of the cutting tool can be extended, and the deep groove machining accuracy can be increased.
[0034]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, any one of detaching the shank from the spindle, detaching the tool holder from the shank, and detaching the tool from the tool holder can be freely performed. For this reason, since the shank can be removed from the spindle and the tool holder can be removed from the shank, the shank can be replaced and the tool holder can be adapted to other machine tools. As a result, the tool holder can be used universally for a plurality of machine tools.
Further, since the tool can be easily removed from the tool holder, for example, even if the cutting edge of the tool is worn, it can be replaced with a new tool and the tool holder can be used continuously.
