【0001】
中央演算処理部22は、例えば、DSP(デジタルシグナルプロセッサ)等により構成されている。
【0034】
T2=2×H/(C×sinθ)−0.25×10-3[sec] …(1)
【0035】
C=331.6+0.61×t[m/s] …(2)
【0047】
v0=Δf×C/{(2×fa+Δf)×cosθ} …(3)
【0049】
次に、ステップS6において、新しい速度v(new)と古い速度v(old)との差Δv{Δv=v(new)−v(old)}が求められる。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a speed measuring device for measuring the speed of a moving body, for example, a vehicle, or a speed measuring device, such as a Doppler sonar, for measuring a ground speed of a moving body, for example, a ship. The ultrasonic wave transmitted from the vehicle or the like or the ship or the like reflects the Doppler frequency component of the echo wave that is reflected on the road surface or the bottom of the water (the sea bottom), and based on the Doppler frequency component, the vehicle or the like is measured. Alternatively, the present invention relates to a speed measuring device that obtains the speed of the ship or the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a vehicle that is a moving body includes a device (hereinafter referred to as a first device) for measuring the speed of the vehicle used in an external device such as a navigation system, an ABS device, or a suspension control device mounted on the vehicle. It is written as a vehicle speed measuring device.) This first vehicle speed measuring device is generally configured to obtain the vehicle speed based on the rotational speed of the wheel measured by a wheel speed sensor mounted on each wheel of the vehicle.
[0003]
By the way, an error may occur in the vehicle speed obtained by the first vehicle speed measuring device due to the influence of the change in the air pressure of the wheel, the change in the load amount of the vehicle, the size of the wheel, the slip generated in the wheel, and the like. Therefore, in the first vehicle speed measurement device, there are cases where it is difficult to obtain high measurement accuracy.
[0004]
Therefore, recently, for the purpose of further improving the measurement accuracy of the vehicle speed measurement device, development and practical application of a device for measuring the vehicle speed using the ultrasonic Doppler method (hereinafter referred to as a second vehicle speed measurement device). Is underway.
[0005]
FIG. 5 shows a configuration of the second vehicle

[0007]
Here, the speed v of the vehicle 3 is expressed as a function of the target frequency fb (that is, the Doppler frequency component Δf) using the sound speed C and the reference frequency fa. Therefore, by obtaining the target frequency fb, the speed v of the vehicle 3 can be obtained based on the function.
[0008]
The Doppler sonar that is a device for measuring the ground speed of the ship can be configured in the same manner as the second vehicle

However, in the second vehicle

In order to avoid such a problem that occurs in rainy weather or the like, the gain of a receiving circuit (not shown) constituting the

[0012]
In addition, the cause of an error in the speed v measured during rainy weather or the like is the influence of water droplets rolled up by another vehicle traveling in front of the vehicle 3. For example, when the vehicle travels at a speed of several tens km / h or more, a large amount of water splashes are wound up behind the vehicle. As described above, when the speed v is measured in a situation where a large amount of water droplets are present in front of the vehicle 3, the measurement error caused by the wet road surface A described above (in the
[0013]
It has been experimentally found that the frequency of the reflected echo Rw from the water splash is almost uniformly distributed over a wide band with respect to the reference frequency fa of the tone burst wave Tw. As a method for obtaining the target frequency fb of the reflected echo Rw reflected by the main lobe ML from the frequency having such a distribution and reflected on the road surface A, the ultrasonic transmission / reception is performed. The Xerox method for calculating the average value of the frequency of the reflected echo Rw received by the
[0014]
In addition, when the above Doppler sonar is used in a sea area where there are many floating matters such as plankton, the reflected echo that is reflected and returned to the plankton is the same as the influence of water droplets in the second vehicle
[0015]
The present invention has been made in consideration of such problems, and provides a speed measuring device capable of stably and accurately measuring the speed of a moving object even under various conditions in which factors of measurement errors exist. The purpose is to do.
[0016]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A velocity measuring apparatus according to the present invention uses a ultrasonic wave to move a moving body. Vehicle or ship Measure the speed of Speed measurement A device,
The moving body At a certain depression in front of A transmission means for transmitting ultrasonic waves;
The ultrasonic wave is the target Road surface or bottom Receiving means for receiving the ultrasonic echoes reflected and returning to obtain received information;
Based on the depression angle, vertical distance to the target and sound speed From the receiving means Above Timing detection means for detecting timing for sampling received information;
Sampling the received information based on the timing, and performing a FFT operation on the received information to obtain a spectrum distribution;
Extracting a Doppler frequency component corresponding to the speed of the moving object from the spectrum distribution In this case, two frequencies corresponding to the peaks with the second highest magnitude are obtained, and the Doppler frequency component is extracted using the higher frequency. A second computing means;
Based on the Doppler frequency component, a third computing means for obtaining a speed of the moving body relative to the target;
(Invention of Claim 1).
[0017]
in this case ,in front In the third calculating means, a new speed is obtained based on the Doppler frequency component, and when the difference between the new speed and the old speed obtained in the same process last time is smaller than a predetermined value, the new speed is obtained. The speed is adopted as the current speed of the moving body (the invention according to claim 2).
[0018]
For this reason, it is possible to accurately obtain the speed of the moving body based on the ultrasonic echo from the target even under the circumstances where the cause of the measurement error occurs. Therefore, the measurement accuracy and stability can be greatly improved.
[0019]
The moving body And further transmitting means for transmitting ultrasonic waves at a predetermined depression angle from the rear, and other receiving means for receiving the ultrasonic echoes that are reflected back to the target and obtaining reception information, and Based on the ultrasonic echoes of the ultrasonic waves respectively transmitted at a predetermined depression angle to the front and the rear, the respective speeds of the moving body with respect to the target are obtained, and the average values of the obtained speeds are obtained. The speed for the target A speed measuring device may be configured. 3 Described invention).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 shows a configuration of a

In this case, the
[0024]
Similarly to the second vehicle speed measuring device 1 (see FIG. 5), the transmitter / receiver TD1 is a moving body, for example, a vehicle or the like, which transmits the tone burst wave Tw in the transmission direction and the main lobe ML of the received beam. However, it is mounted so as to face the front of the vehicle or the like at a predetermined depression angle θ (0 <θ <π / 2). Further, the height of the transducer TD1 from the road surface A is H.

When the reflected echo Rw reflected and returned from the road surface A (see FIG. 5) is received by the transducer TD1, the electrical signal Rx corresponding to the reflected echo Rw is output from the transducer TD1. . The

[0032]
In this case, the transmitter / receiver TD1 is mounted at the timing T2 at a time determined based on the height H of the transmitter / receiver TD1 from the road surface A and the depression angle θ for transmitting the tone burst wave Tw. It is obtained by adding a value that takes into account the time variation due to the vertical movement of the vehicle or the like (see FIG. 5).
[0033]
Specifically, the timing T2 is obtained based on the following equation (1).
[0034]
T2 = 2 × H / (C × sin θ) −0.25 × 10 -3 [Sec] (1)
However, C is the speed of sound and is obtained based on the following equation (2) using the ambient temperature t of the transducer TD1.
[0035]
C = 331.6 + 0.61 × t [m / s] (2)
The ambient temperature t is measured by a thermistor 50 provided in the vicinity of the transducer TD1 (see FIG. 1). Specifically, the temperature signal (voltage) St based on the ambient temperature t obtained by the thermistor 50 is supplied to the

In addition, the control signal Sc2 supplied from the

[0039]
The
[0040]
For example, the peak distribution Pa corresponding to the component a (see FIG. 2B) of the reception signal E1 exists in the spectrum distribution in fine weather. Therefore, by obtaining the frequency f1 at this peak Pa, the frequency (target frequency) of the reflected echo Rw reflected from the road surface A (see FIG. 5) and received by the transmitter / receiver TD1 by the main lobe ML of the received beam. fb is obtained as fb = f1.
[0041]
By the way, when the road surface A is wet, such as in rainy weather, most of the tone burst wave Tw is regularly reflected on the road surface A (see FIG. 5). Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2E, the reflection reflected from the road surface A (see FIG. 5) included in the received signal E1 and received by the transmitter / receiver TD1 by the main lobe ML (see FIG. 5) of the received beam. The level of the component a of the echo Rw is lowered. In comparison with this, the level of the component c of the reflected echo Rw received by the wave transceiver TD1 by the side lobe SL (see FIG. 5) of the received beam rises.
[0042]
In this case, the spectrum distribution of the reflected echo Rw includes a peak Pc corresponding to the component c (see FIG. 2E) in addition to the peak Pa corresponding to the component a (see FIG. 2E), as shown in FIG. 3B. . The frequency f0 at the peak Pc is almost the same value (f0 = fa) as the reference frequency fa of the tone burst wave Tw. Thus, when there are a plurality of peaks Pa and Pc in the spectrum distribution, it is difficult to obtain the target frequency fb based on the peak Pa or Pc having the maximum magnitude.
[0043]
Moreover, the tone burst wave Tw will be reflected by the said water splash under the condition where the water splash is wound up by the vehicle which drive | moves ahead of the transmitter / receiver TD1. For this reason, the received signal E1 includes the component d of the reflected echo Rw that returns after being reflected by the water droplets (see FIG. 2F). Since the frequency of the reflected echo Rw that is reflected back to the water splash is distributed over a wide band, the spectrum distribution of the reflected echo Rw shown in FIG. 3C has a plurality of peaks Pd1, Pd2 corresponding to the component d (see FIG. 2F). Etc. exist. Also in this case, it is difficult to obtain the target frequency fb based on the largest peaks Pa, Pc or Pd1, Pd2, etc.
[0044]
Hereinafter, the
[0045]
First, in step S1, the received data D (E1) is sampled based on the timing T2, the sampling interval ΔT, and the sampling point number N set by the control signal Sc2. Subsequently, in step S2, the spectrum distribution of the reflected echo Rw (see FIGS. 3A to 3C) is obtained by performing an FFT operation on the sampled received data D (E1).
[0046]
Next, in step S3, peaks Pa, Pc and the like having the second highest magnitude are extracted from the spectrum distribution, and the frequencies f1, f0, etc. at the peaks Pa, Pc, etc. are obtained. In step S4, the frequency having the larger (higher) value (in this case, f1) is determined as the first candidate of the target frequency fb (fb = f1), and based on the following equation (3): Then, an estimated speed v0 of a vehicle or the like on which the
[0047]
v0 = Δf × C / {(2 × fa + Δf) × cos θ} (3)
Here, Δf represents a Doppler frequency component and is obtained by Δf = fa−fb. C is the speed of sound and is obtained based on the equation (2).
[0048]
The estimated speed v0 obtained in step S4 is stored as a new speed v (new) in step S5, for example, in a memory (not shown) of the central processing unit 22 {v (new) ← v0}. Prior to this, the new speed v (new) obtained in the previous process is stored in the memory as the old speed v (old) {v (old) ← v (new)}.
[0049]
Next, in step S6, a difference Δv {Δv = v (new) −v (old)} between the new speed v (new) and the old speed v (old) is obtained. Subsequently, in step S7, the difference Δv obtained in step S6 is compared with a predetermined value vr (for example, vr = 5 km / h). If Δv <vr, a new speed v is determined in step S8. (New) is adopted as the current speed v of the moving body (vehicle) {v ← v (new)}. If it is determined in step S7 that Δv ≧ vr, the new speed v (new) is not adopted as the current speed v, and the process returns to step S1.
[0050]
As shown in FIG. 1, the speed v obtained in the above steps S1 to S8 is output from the
[0051]
As described above, in this embodiment, the processing in steps S1 to S8 for obtaining the speed v extracts the target frequency fb (that is, the Doppler frequency component Δf) corresponding to the vehicle speed v from the spectrum distribution. To function as a kind of frequency filter. Therefore, the vehicle speed v can be accurately obtained based on the Doppler frequency component Δf.
[0052]
In particular, the speed v can be obtained accurately even under conditions where measurement error factors occur, such as in the case of rainy weather. Therefore, when measuring methods such as the Xerox method or the complex autocorrelation method are used. In comparison, the measurement accuracy and stability can be greatly improved.
[0053]
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various configurations can be adopted without departing from the gist of the present invention.
[0054]
For example, in addition to the transmitter / receiver TD1 that transmits / receives ultrasonic waves (tone burst wave Tw, reflected echo Rw) to the front of the vehicle, another transmitter / receiver that transmits / receives ultrasonic waves to the rear of the vehicle is provided. A so-called two-beam method may be employed. The other transmitter / receiver transmits a tone burst wave at a predetermined depression angle (for example, θ) to the rear of the vehicle, and receives a reflected echo that is returned from the tone burst wave reflected on the road surface.
[0055]
Then, speeds v1 and v2 are obtained based on the reflected echo Rw received in each of the transducer TD1 and the other transducers, and the average value of these speeds v1 and v2 is calculated, so that the speed v of the vehicle is obtained. can get. In this case, it is possible to greatly reduce the cause of measurement errors caused by the inclination or vertical movement of the vehicle. Such an effect can be similarly obtained when the
[0056]
When the height H (see FIG. 5) of the transducer TD1 from the road surface A is not known, the
[0057]
Further, in steps S7 and S8, based on the difference Δv between the new value {new speed v (new)} and the old value {old speed v (old)} of the estimated speed v0 obtained by the equation (3), In this case, the difference Δv ′ between the vehicle speed v ′ measured by the wheel speed sensor provided on the vehicle wheel and the estimated speed v0 obtained by the above equation (3) is used. When the difference Δv ′ is within 15% of the speed v ′ or the estimated speed v0, a process for determining the estimated speed v0 as the current speed v may be performed. In this case, the
[0058]
In addition to the processes in steps S7 and S8, a process of selecting whether the current speed v is confirmed or not based on the speed v ′ may be performed.
[0059]
Furthermore, instead of the processing in step S3, that is, the processing of extracting the peaks having the top two magnitudes from the spectrum distribution and obtaining the frequencies at these peaks, the magnitudes are the top nth (n ≧ 3, n : Integer) peaks may be extracted, and the frequency at these peaks may be obtained. In this case, in step S4, instead of the process of calculating the estimated speed v0 by obtaining the higher (higher) frequency among the frequencies at each peak as the first candidate of the target frequency fb, Of the estimated speeds v0 calculated as the first to nth candidates of the target frequency fb, for example, the speed closest to the speed v ′ measured by the wheel speed sensor should be obtained in step S4. A process of selecting as the estimated speed v0 is performed.

【The invention's effect】
According to the velocity measuring device of the present invention, the frequency at the peak corresponding to the velocity of the moving object is extracted from the spectrum distribution obtained by performing the FFT operation on the reception information obtained by receiving the ultrasonic echo. The speed is obtained based on this frequency. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a speed measuring device that can stably and accurately measure the speed of the moving body even under various conditions in which a factor of measurement error exists.
