【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rotational direction switching control method for a two-cycle internal combustion engine that drives a traveling device such as a scooter, a snowmobile, or a buggy.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a prime mover for a traveling device such as scooters and snowmobiles that are easy to operate, a two-cycle gasoline engine that can be easily started by recoil start or kick start, and that is small, light and inexpensive ( Hereinafter, it is often referred to as a 2-cycle internal combustion engine). Further, as a transmission provided in a power transmission system for transmitting the rotation of the internal combustion engine to a driven part (for example, a drive wheel) of a traveling device, a centrifugal clutch type continuous transmission without a back gear is often used.
[0003]
In this type of traveling device, since the transmission does not have a back gear, when it is necessary to reverse the direction of the traveling device in a narrow place etc., it is necessary to lift the entire vehicle body and change its direction, The operability was bad.
[0004]
Therefore, recently, focusing on the characteristics of a two-cycle internal combustion engine capable of normal operation regardless of whether the rotational direction is forward or reverse, the traveling device is switched by switching the rotational direction of the internal combustion engine from normal rotation to reverse rotation. It is being considered to have a reverse function. In order to move the traveling device forward or backward by switching the rotation direction of the two-cycle internal combustion engine, it is necessary to be able to arbitrarily switch the rotation direction of the internal combustion engine in accordance with a driver's command.
[0005]
As the rotational direction switching control method for switching the rotational direction of the internal combustion engine, as disclosed in JP-A-11-93718, JP-A-11-93719, and JP-A-11-82270, the ignition position of the engine and the supply of fuel By controlling the amount, the engine speed [rpm] is lowered to a speed lower than the idling speed to reduce the inertia of the engine, and the ignition position (the rotation angle of the crankshaft when the engine is ignited) Position) is advanced to an over-advanced position (a position that is further advanced than the appropriate maximum advance position of the ignition position during steady operation), and the piston is pushed back to reverse the rotation direction, and then to the reverse direction. There has been proposed a method of operating an engine in a state in which the rotation direction is reversed by igniting the engine at an ignition position suitable for maintaining the rotation of the engine.
[0006]
FIG. 12 shows an example of a temporal change in the rotational speed of the engine when the rotational direction of the engine is switched by the proposed rotational direction switching control method. In FIG. 12, To represents the timing at which the reverse command is given, and T2 represents the timing at which the engine speed reaches the over-advance start speed after the reverse command is given. T3 indicates the timing at which the ECU (electronic control unit) recognizes that the rotational direction has been reversed. No indicates the engine idling speed, and N2 indicates the over-advance start speed set to be lower than the idling speed No.
[0007]
In the example shown in FIG. 12, a reverse command is given at time To while the engine is idling. When an inversion command is given, the supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine is stopped, and the engine speed is reduced. The fuel supply to the engine is resumed immediately before the rotational speed reaches the over-advance start speed N2 at time T2, and the ignition position of the engine is advanced to the over-advance position at time T2. If the ignition position is excessively advanced while the engine speed is sufficiently reduced, the piston is pushed back before reaching the top dead center, so that the engine rotation direction is reversed. Thereafter, at time T3, after reversal of the rotation direction of the engine is confirmed, ignition is performed at a position suitable for maintaining the rotation of the engine with the rotation direction reversed, and the engine with the rotation direction reversed Let's drive.
[0008]
As a method of reducing the rotational speed prior to reversing the engine rotation direction, there is a method of misfiring the engine, but when the engine is misfired, the unburned gas is discharged and the mixture is burned in the exhaust pipe. As a result, afterfire is generated or the air is polluted. On the other hand, if the rotational speed is reduced by stopping the supply of fuel to the engine as described above, the discharge of unburned gas can be suppressed.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, in the conventional rotational direction switching control method, after stopping the fuel supply to the engine in response to the reversal command, the rotational speed of the engine reaches the overtravel start start speed, The fuel supply is resumed immediately before ignition at the position. As a method of supplying fuel to the internal combustion engine, when the method of injecting fuel directly from the injector into the cylinder of the engine is used, the fuel is discharged at the timing immediately before the ignition timing at the over-advance position as described above. Even if the supply is resumed, the engine can be reversed. However, when fuel is injected into the engine intake pipe, crankcase, or scavenging pipe and the air-fuel mixture is supplied into the cylinder through the scavenging pipe, the fuel supply is started and then a predetermined empty space is started. Since it takes time for the air-fuel mixture to reach the cylinder, restarting the fuel supply immediately before starting ignition at the over-advanced angle position does not keep up with the fuel supply, and the When the ignition operation is performed, there is a problem that the ignition of the air-fuel mixture may fail and the reversal of the rotation direction may fail.
[0010]
Further, in the conventional rotational direction switching control method, there is no means for limiting the engine speed when the traveling device is moved backward, so that the speed when the traveling device is moved backward increases too much and a dangerous state may occur. was there.
[0011]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a rotational direction switching control method for a traveling device driving two-cycle internal combustion engine that can reliably reverse the rotational direction of the engine even when air-fuel mixture is supplied into the cylinder through the scavenging pipe. Is to provide.
[0012]
Another object of the present invention is to make it possible to reliably reverse the rotational direction of the engine and to limit the rotational speed of the engine for safety when the traveling device is moved backward. Another object of the present invention is to provide a rotational direction switching control method for a traveling apparatus driving two-cycle internal combustion engine.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is directed to an internal combustion engine in response to a reversal command in order to reverse the traveling direction of a traveling device in which a driven portion is driven by a two-cycle internal combustion engine in which an air-fuel mixture is supplied into a cylinder through a scavenging pipe. The internal combustion engine speed is reduced by temporarily stopping the fuel supply, and the internal combustion engine speed is reduced when the internal combustion engine speed decreases to an over-advance start speed that is set lower than the idling speed. Ignition is performed at the over-advanced angle position to reverse the rotation direction of the internal combustion engine, and then the internal combustion engine is ignited at a position suitable for maintaining the rotation of the internal combustion engine with the rotation direction reversed. The present invention also relates to a rotational direction switching control method for a two-cycle internal combustion engine for driving a traveling device that controls the supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine and the ignition position of the internal combustion engine so that the internal combustion engine is operated in an inverted state. It is.
[0014]
In the present invention, when the fuel supply restart speed higher than the over-advance start speed is set, and when the internal combustion engine speed decreases due to the stop of fuel supply, the fuel supply restart speed is reached. The fuel supply to the internal combustion engine was resumed.
[0015]
As described above, when the fuel supply resumption rotational speed higher than the over-advance start rotational speed is set, the fuel to the internal combustion engine is reduced when the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine decreases and reaches the fuel supply restart rotational speed. When the fuel supply is restarted, the fuel supply restart speed is appropriately set, so that the air-fuel mixture having a predetermined air-fuel ratio is allowed to enter the cylinder until the ignition operation at the over-advance position is performed. Therefore, when the ignition is performed at the excessive advance position, the air-fuel mixture is surely ignited and the rotational direction of the engine can be reversed.
[0016]
The fuel is preferably supplied to the internal combustion engine by injecting the fuel from the injector into the intake pipe, the crankcase, or the scavenging pipe.
[0017]
A fuel may be supplied to the engine using a carburetor. However, when a carburetor is used, an electromagnetic valve or the like is provided in the fuel supply passage in order to freely stop and restart the fuel supply. It is necessary to insert a valve.
[0018]
In the present invention, when the fuel supply to the internal combustion engine is stopped after the reversal command is given, the ignition position of the internal combustion engine is set so as to suppress the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to be equal to or lower than the rotational speed limit rotational speed. It is preferable to perform the rotational speed suppression control to be controlled.
[0019]
In this case, it is preferable to set the rotational speed limit rotational speed equal to the rotational speed when the reverse command is given.
[0020]
With the above configuration, the engine speed can be prevented from rapidly increasing immediately after the fuel supply is stopped after the reversal command is given, so that the driver feels uncomfortable and fearful. Can be prevented.
[0021]
When a transmission having a centrifugal clutch is used as a transmission provided between the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine and the driven part of the traveling device, the above-mentioned rotation speed limit for reversal is set to the rotation speed at which the centrifugal clutch is applied. It is preferable to set it lower.
[0022]
By setting the revolving limit rotational speed in this way, it is possible to prevent the centrifugal clutch from being connected by increasing the engine speed immediately after stopping the fuel supply in response to the reversing command. Immediately after giving the reversal command, it is possible to eliminate the possibility that the traveling device moves and the driver feels a fear.
[0023]
In the present invention, when the internal combustion engine is rotating in a direction in which the traveling device is moved backward, the reverse over-rotation prevention control is performed to limit the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to a set reverse rotation speed or less. Preferably.
[0024]
In the reverse overspeed prevention control, the ignition speed of the internal combustion engine may be limited to be equal to or lower than the reverse speed limit by stopping the ignition operation of the internal combustion engine. By controlling to retard, the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine may be limited to a value equal to or lower than the reverse rotational speed limit.
[0025]
Further, in the reverse overspeed prevention control, the amount of fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine is controlled to decrease (make the air / fuel mixture lean) or increase (make the air / fuel mixture rich). The number may be limited to a value equal to or less than the limit rotational speed at the time of reverse movement.
[0026]
As described above, if the reverse overspeed prevention control is performed, the engine speed when the traveling device is retracted can be limited. Therefore, when the traveling device is retracted, the speed increases excessively and an accident occurs. It can be prevented from occurring.

In the rotational direction switching control method of the present invention, when a reverse command is generated, the supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine is stopped, and the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is lower than the idling rotational speed and higher than the overtravel start rotational speed. The fuel supply is resumed when the fuel supply restart speed is decreased to the set speed. Thereafter, when the rotational speed decreases to the over-advance start speed, the internal combustion engine is ignited at the over-advance position to reverse the rotational direction of the internal combustion engine, and then the internal combustion engine rotates with the rotational direction reversed. The internal combustion engine is ignited at a position suitable for maintaining the engine, and the engine is operated in a state where the rotation direction is reversed.

FIG. 6 shows an example of a temporal change in the rotational speed N when the ignition position of the engine and the fuel supply to the engine are controlled by the rotation direction switching control method of the present invention.

In FIG. 6, No represents the idling speed, and N1 and N2 represent the fuel supply restart speed and the over-advance start speed, respectively. The fuel injection timings of the first cylinder and the second cylinder in a state before To are shown. FIG. 7E shows the ignition timing during forward rotation in a state before time To.
[0054]
When an inversion command is given at time To, as shown in FIG. 7 (F), fuel injection is stopped, and fuel supply to the engine is stopped. The ignition operation is performed at a normal ignition position (calculated ignition position) as shown in FIG.
[0055]
After stopping the fuel supply, the fuel injection is resumed at time T1 when the rotational speed is reduced to the fuel supply restarting rotational speed N1. As shown in FIG. 7 (H), during the period from time T1 to immediately before time T2 when the rotational speed reaches the over-advance start rotational speed N2, the
[0056]
The length of the period of T1 ≦ T <T2 and the fuel injection time (time for injecting fuel from the injector) during this period are determined by the mixing in the cylinder when ignition is performed at the over-advance position at time T2. The length is set in advance by experiments so that the air has an appropriate air-fuel ratio suitable for combustion.
[0057]
At the time T2 when the rotational speed reaches the overtravel start rotational speed N2, as shown in FIG. 7 (K), the overtravel position of the first cylinder at 52 degrees before the top dead center (the
[0058]
When the first cylinder is ignited at the overtravel angle position at time T2, the air-fuel mixture is combusted, and the piston of the first cylinder is pushed back by the pressure rise caused by this combustion, so that the rotational direction of the engine is reversed.
[0059]
FIG. 7 (L) shows a period (T2 ≦ T <T3) from when ignition at the over-advanced angle position is performed at time T2 to immediately before time T3 when the ECU recognizes reversal of the rotational direction of the engine. As shown in FIG. 4, fuel is injected for an injection time suitable for keeping the engine in an idling state at a position of 12 degrees before the top dead center of each cylinder. At this time, as shown in FIG. 7 (M), the

In the period of T2 ≦ T <T3, it has not been confirmed whether or not the rotational direction of the engine is actually reversed. Therefore, regardless of the direction of rotation of the engine, the ignition operation is performed at an appropriate position (

[0062]
The ECU has an ignition position calculation map and fuel injection time calculation map for normal rotation, an ignition position calculation map for reverse rotation and a fuel injection time calculation map, and is reverse to that for normal rotation. The engine characteristics are different from those at the time of rotation. When the engine reverses the traveling device, the speed of the engine is limited for the sake of safety, and rapid deceleration is not performed.
[0063]
As shown in FIG. 3, when the fuel supply is stopped at time To, the engine speed once increases and then decreases. The reason why the rotational speed increases immediately after the fuel is cut is as follows.
[0064]
In FIG. 1, the fuel injected from the injector 111 becomes an air-fuel mixture and enters the
[0065]
In FIG. 8, a curve “a” indicates a characteristic in a highland, and a curve “b” indicates a characteristic in a lowland. As is clear from this figure, it is normal to use the rich side where the fluctuation in the rotational speed with respect to the change in the fuel supply amount is small as the fuel supply amount during idling, and the fuel supply during idling according to the atmospheric pressure of the high altitude. When the amount is set, the fuel supply amount at which the air-fuel ratio becomes equal to (A / F) 2 shown in the figure is set as the fuel supply amount at idling. When the air-fuel ratio is the same, the higher the atmospheric pressure, the higher the rotational speed. Therefore, when the engine with the air-fuel ratio set to suit the highland is brought to the lowland, the idling rotational speed increases.
[0066]
It is desirable that the idling speed be the same in both the lowland and the highland. Therefore, when an engine set to obtain a predetermined idling speed No at high altitude is taken to low altitude, the air-fuel ratio should be set to (A / F) 3 shown in the figure by enriching the air-fuel mixture. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the idling speed to No.
[0067]
In this way, in an engine adjusted to obtain an appropriate idling speed at low altitude, the amount of fuel that does not atomize increases because the air-fuel mixture at idling is rich, and the intake pipe and crankcase The amount of fuel adhering to the inner surface of the battery increases. Therefore, when the fuel supply is stopped at time To in FIG. 3, the fuel supply from the injector 111 is lost, but the fuel adhering to the inner surface of the intake pipe or the inner surface of the crankcase is vaporized and supplied to the cylinder. The air-fuel ratio of the engine approaches the air-fuel ratio (A / F) 1 at which the maximum torque is generated, and the engine speed increases. After that, if there is no fuel adhering to the inner surface of the intake pipe or the inner surface of the crankcase and the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture supplied into the cylinder exceeds the lean limit, combustion does not occur in the cylinder and the engine speed decreases. I will do it.
[0068]
As described above, an increase in the rotational speed immediately after the fuel supply is stopped is not preferable because it gives the driver discomfort and fear. Also, depending on conditions, the vehicle body may start immediately after the fuel is cut at time To and the rotational speed exceeds the centrifugal clutch engagement rotational speed.
[0069]
In order to prevent such a situation from occurring, the engine speed is reversed when the fuel supply to the internal combustion engine is stopped in response to the reversal command (period of To ≤ T <T1 in Fig. 3). The ignition position of the internal combustion engine may be controlled so as to be suppressed below the time limit rotational speed (for example, the rotational speed suppression control may be performed to retard or advance the ignition position from the appropriate position). The characteristics of the temporal change in the number of revolutions when such control is performed are shown in FIG. In the example shown in FIG. 9, after the fuel supply is stopped in response to the reversal command, the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture approaches the value at the time when the maximum torque is generated, the engine speed increases, and the preset reversal time When the limit rotational speed NL1 is exceeded, the ignition position is retarded to suppress an increase in the rotational speed.
[0070]
FIG. 10 shows the relationship between the engine rotation angle θ and the in-cylinder pressure P. A curve a in FIG. 10 shows a case where ignition is performed at an appropriate position (rotation angle position of the crankshaft). . A curve b indicates a case where ignition is performed at a position advanced from the appropriate position, and a curve c indicates a case where ignition is performed at a position retarded from the appropriate position. From this, it can be seen that if the ignition position is retarded or advanced from the appropriate position, the pressure P in the cylinder is lowered and the increase in the engine speed is suppressed.
[0071]
In this case, if the engine speed is used as a feedback factor and the PID operation is performed on the deviation between the engine speed and its limit value, the retard amount or the advance amount of the ignition position is calculated, thereby suppressing stable engine speed. Control can be performed.
[0072]
The reversal speed limit NL1 is set equal to the engine speed (usually idling speed) when a reverse command is given so as not to give the driver any discomfort or fear. Alternatively, it is preferable to set the rotational speed to be lower than the rotational speed at which the centrifugal clutch is applied.
[0073]
As shown in FIG. 9, an example of a flowchart showing an algorithm of a program executed by the microcomputer of the ECU when the rotational speed suppression control is performed in a period in which the fuel supply is stopped in response to the inversion command is shown in FIG. 11. It was shown to.
[0074]
In the case of the algorithm shown in FIG. 11, after the inversion command is given in
[0075]
When the internal combustion engine is rotating in the direction in which the traveling device is moved backward, it is preferable for safety to limit the traveling speed. Therefore, when the internal combustion engine is rotating in the direction in which the traveling device is moved backward, it is preferable to perform the reverse overspeed prevention control for limiting the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to be equal to or less than the set reverse rotation speed limit.
[0076]
In this reverse overspeed prevention control, the ignition operation of the internal combustion engine may be stopped to limit the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to be equal to or lower than the reverse limit rotational speed, and the ignition position of the internal combustion engine may be advanced or By controlling to retard, the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine may be limited to a value equal to or lower than the reverse rotational speed limit.
[0077]
Further, in the reverse overspeed prevention control, the amount of fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine is controlled to decrease (make the air / fuel mixture lean) or increase (make the air / fuel mixture rich). The number may be limited to a value equal to or less than the limit rotational speed at the time of reverse movement.
[0078]
As described above, if the reverse overspeed prevention control is performed, the engine speed when the traveling device is retracted can be limited. Therefore, when the traveling device is retracted, the speed increases excessively and an accident occurs. It can be prevented from occurring.
[0079]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when the fuel supply restart speed higher than the over-advance start speed is set and the internal combustion engine speed decreases and reaches the fuel supply restart speed, the internal combustion engine Since the fuel supply to the engine is restarted, the fuel supply restart speed is set appropriately so that a predetermined air-fuel ratio is maintained until the ignition operation at the over-advanced angle position is performed. When the air-fuel mixture is supplied into the cylinder and ignition is performed at the over-advanced angle position, the air-fuel mixture is surely ignited, and the rotational direction of the engine can be reversed.
[0080]
In the present invention, the ignition position of the internal combustion engine is controlled so that the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine is kept below the rotation speed limit rotation speed when the fuel supply to the internal combustion engine is stopped after the reverse command is given. When the engine speed reduction control is performed, it is possible to prevent the engine speed from rapidly increasing immediately after the fuel supply is stopped after the reverse command is given. It can prevent giving a feeling.
[0081]
In the present invention, when the internal combustion engine is rotating in the direction in which the traveling device is moved backward, the reverse overspeed prevention control is performed to limit the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to be equal to or less than the set reverse rotation speed limit. In this case, since the traveling speed at the time of reversing can be kept low, it is possible to eliminate the possibility of an accident occurring due to a rapid increase in speed at the time of reversing.
