Description
成層燃焼は、燃焼室内の混合気が濃い部分と薄い部分を有しており、点火プラグの近傍に可燃空燃比の濃い部分を形成することで、全体としては空燃比が大きい(すなわち燃料が希薄な)混合気での燃焼を行わせる方法である。
また噴射孔中心軸に略平行で、燃焼の旋回方向に沿うように設けられた旋回拘束壁面が設けられている。旋回拘束壁面は、噴射孔内壁と略同心円の円弧上に設けられ、燃料の径方向への運動を拘束するように設けられている。旋回しながら流れる燃料は、旋回拘束壁面に沿って旋回しながら流出する。
旋回拘束壁面は、拘束壁面端部211及び212より噴射孔の径方向外側に向かって壁面209及び210に連なって設けられ、噴射された燃料の進行方向への運動を拘束する進行拘束壁面として作用する。
図5及び図6に示したような燃料噴射弁によれば、噴霧の集中部が比較的広く出来るので、噴霧の集中部が加圧された雰囲気中で回転するという現象に対して鈍感にすることができる。しかしながら、図5及び図6において示したような噴霧であっても、噴霧の集中部が加圧雰囲気中で旋回方向に回転するという現象が起こるため、大気圧下の噴霧の集中部を点火プラグに向けた場合、燃焼安定性は必ずしも最良とはならない。
Claims (2)
- 燃料を噴射する噴射孔を有するノズル部と、前記燃料に旋回力を付与する旋回力付与手段とを有し、大気圧で噴霧濃度が濃い部分と薄い部分が生じるように前記噴射孔より前記燃料が噴射される内燃機関の燃料噴射弁において、該燃料噴射弁は前記内燃機関への取り付けの前記ノズル部の軸に対する回転方向の位置を示す位置決め手段を有し、該位置決め手段は前記大気圧における噴霧濃度の濃い部分の噴射方向の位置を示すものであり、該位置を前記旋回方向と反対方向に回転した位置に設定することで、前記大気圧より高い圧力での前記噴霧濃度の濃い部分を点火プラグの方向に向かうようにしたことを特徴とする内燃機関の燃料噴射弁。
- 燃料を噴射する噴射孔を有するノズル部と、前記燃料に旋回力を付与する旋回力付与手段とを有し、大気圧で噴霧濃度が濃い部分と薄い部分が生じるように前記噴射孔より前記燃料が噴射される燃料噴射弁を搭載した内燃機関において、前記燃料噴射弁と前記内燃機関とに互いの取り付け位置を示す位置決め手段を有し、前記燃料噴射弁の位置決め手段は、前記大気圧における前記噴霧濃度の濃い部分の噴射方向の位置を示すものであり、前記内燃機関の位置決め手段は、前記点火プラグの位置を示すものであり、前記燃料噴射弁の前記大気圧における前記噴霧濃度の濃い部分の噴射方向の位置を前記旋回方向と反対方向に回転した位置に設定することで、前記大気圧より高い圧力での前記噴霧濃度の濃い部分を前記点火プラグの方向に向かうようにしたことを特徴とする内燃機関。
