この発明は、内視鏡使用時に挿入部を外部環境から絶縁するための内視鏡の挿入部に対する汚染防止シースの被覆方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
内視鏡を介して患者から患者への感染が起きないようにするためには、内視鏡使用時に挿入部に柔軟な材料からなる汚染防止シースを被覆する必要がある。

そこで、例えば図26に示されるように、内視鏡の挿入部11に被覆する前に汚染防止シース1の口元部分をロール状に丸め込んでおき、そのロール状部分1rを転がすようにして挿入部11に被覆するものがある。

しかし、汚染防止シース1の口元部分をそのようにロール状に丸め込むことができるのは、内視鏡の挿入部11が非常に短い場合にのみ可能であり、直径が1cm程度で長さが1〜2mに達する一般的な内視鏡の挿入部11への適用は難しい。

そこで従来は、汚染防止シース1内に高圧空気を送り込んで、汚染防止シース1を膨らませた状態にして挿入部11に被覆するようにしていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、挿入部11への被覆作業時に高圧空気を送り込んで汚染防止シース1を膨らませるようにすると、そのための設備が必要となって取り扱いが面倒になるだけでなく、空気圧によって汚染防止シース1が破裂してしまったり、取り外し時に汚染防止シース1にピンホール等が発生している場合には、汚染された状態の汚染防止シース1を挿入部11から取り外せなくなってしまう等の問題が生じていた。

そこで本発明は、内視鏡の挿入部への被覆作業を簡便な構造で容易に行うことができる内視鏡の挿入部に対する汚染防止シースの被覆方法を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するため、本発明の内視鏡の挿入部に対する汚染防止シースの被覆方法は、内視鏡使用時に内視鏡の挿入部を外部環境から絶縁するために、挿入部に被脱自在な柔軟な材料からなる汚染防止シースを挿入部に被覆するようにした内視鏡の挿入部に対する汚染防止シースの被覆方法において、汚染防止シースの径を挿入部に緩く被さる寸法に設定して、汚染防止シースを挿入部に被覆した状態で、挿入部の外周面に汚染防止シースを密着させるための弾力性のある材料からなる密着治具の孔に汚染防止シースを先端側から通すことにより、その孔の内側位置において汚染防止シースが挿入部の外周面に圧接され、密着治具を汚染防止シースの後端部付近まで移動させて汚染防止シースと挿入部との間の隙間にあった空気を後方に排出させてから、汚染防止シースと挿入部との間の隙間を後端部付近において封止するようにしたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
図面を参照して本発明の実施例を説明する。
図2は、内視鏡を示しており、可撓管状の挿入部11の基端に操作部12が連結されている。挿入部11の長さは、例えば1〜2m程度である。

挿入部11内には、後述するチャンネルチューブ4を案内挿通するためのガイドチャンネル13が全長にわたって挿通配置されていて、その先端開口13aは挿入部11の先端面に配置され、基端開口13bは操作部12の下部から斜め上方に向けて突出配置されている。

挿入部11と操作部12との連結部付近には、後述する汚染防止シース1の係合口金3に形成された係合突部3aが係脱自在な係合溝14が形成されている。ただし、係合溝14は必ずしも溝状でなくても差し支えない。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、汚染防止シースの径を挿入部に緩く被さる寸法に設定して、汚染防止シースを挿入部に被覆した状態で、弾力性のある材料からなる密着治具の孔に汚染防止シースを先端側から通すことにより、その孔の内側位置において汚染防止シースが挿入部の外周面に圧接され、密着治具を汚染防止シースの後端部付近まで移動させて汚染防止シースと挿入部との間の隙間にあった空気を後方に排出させるようにしたことにより、汚染防止シースを簡便な治具で容易に挿入部に密着被覆させることができる。
