Description
【0001】

【0026】
GeO2、Al2O3、P2O5、MgO、CaO、SrO、BaO

On the other hand, as a method for forming an optical product such as a lens into a highly accurate shape and size with high productivity, a precision press molding method is known in which the shape of a molding die is precisely transferred to glass. This precision press molding is an excellent method in that high-precision optical products can be manufactured with high productivity as described above, but it is necessary to process the glass at a high temperature, and it is molded into a glass in a high temperature state. If glass that is easy to devitrify is used to deform glass by pressurizing with a mold, the produced optical product may become cloudy and become unusable as an optical product, or the glass is the molding surface of the mold There is a problem that the molding surface is damaged. In particular, in precision press molding, a preform having a shape that is relatively close to the final product is produced from molten glass, and the preform is reheated and pressure-molded with a mold, so the preform is produced from this molten glass. At this time, or when reheating for pressure forming, the glass tends to be devitrified. Therefore, in order to prevent such devitrification, a low liquidus temperature is a requirement for optical glass as a material.
Further, in order to prevent the above-described fusion between the glass and the molding surface of the mold, it is necessary to perform pressing at a relatively low temperature, and therefore, the optical glass is required to have a low yield point that can be molded at a low temperature. .
[0004]
As described above, in order to obtain an optical glass having a high refractive index and medium-low dispersion characteristics and suitable for precision press molding, in addition to the above optical characteristics, characteristics such as a low liquidus temperature and a low yield point are required. . However, as the glass component, by the coexistence of Y 2 O 3 and Li 2 O, the glass publications 1 which work to lower the melting point of the glass, because the Y 2 O 3 is an essential component, of preventing devitrification Therefore, it is difficult to obtain a liquid phase temperature of less than 1000 ° C. and to obtain the high refractive index and medium / low dispersion characteristics.

[0019]
The optical glasses I, II, and III all have a yield point required for precision press glasses. That is, all of the optical glasses I, II, and III usually have a yield point of 600 ° C. or less and a glass transition temperature of 565 ° C. or less suitable as a glass for precision press.
In addition, when all of the optical glasses I, II, and III are melted at 1200 ° C., no undissolved matter usually remains in the glass. That is, it does not normally contain foreign substances that cause light scattering when used as optical glass.
[0020]
Next, the reason which limited content of said each component is demonstrated.
SiO 2 is an essential component, and if it is less than 2% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises, and if it is 6% by weight or more, the solubility deteriorates and undissolved matter remains. Preferably it is 3 to 5.5 weight%.
[0021]
B 2 O 3 is also an essential component, and if it is less than 17% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises, and if it exceeds 26% by weight, the desired refractive index cannot be obtained. An optical glass having a composition having a B 2 O 3 content larger than the range of the present invention, a low liquidus temperature, a low yield point, and no undissolved residue has been obtained in the past. The refractive index does not fall within the refractive index range of the present invention, and the area of the present invention was a blank area from the viewpoint of optical constants and suitability for pressing. The content of B 2 O 3 is preferably 18 to 24% by weight, more preferably 19 to 22% by weight.
[0022]
ZnO is also an essential component, and if it is less than 6% by weight, the desired yield point and glass transition temperature cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 26% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises. Preferably it is 10-24 weight%, More preferably, it is 16-23 weight%.
Li 2 O is also an essential component, and if it is less than 0.1% by weight, the desired yield point and glass transition temperature cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 3% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises. Preferably it is 0.5 to 2 weight%, More preferably, it is 0.5 to 1.5 weight%.
[0023]
La 2 O 3 is also an essential component, and if it is less than 28% by weight, the desired refractive index cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 40% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises. Preferably it is 30 to 38 weight%, More preferably, it is 32 to 36 weight%.
Nb 2 O 5 is also an essential component, and if it is less than 1% by weight, the desired refractive index cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 8% by weight, the Abbe number νd becomes less than 35. Preferably it is 3-7 weight%, More preferably, it is 4-6 weight%.
[0024]
Ta 2 O 5 is also an essential component, and if it is less than 1% by weight, the desired refractive index cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 8% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises. Preferably it is 2 to 6 weight%, More preferably, it is 2 to 5 weight%.
WO 3 is also an essential component, and the liquidus temperature rises if it is less than 1% by weight, and the liquidus temperature rises even if it exceeds 15% by weight. Preferably it is 3 to 10 weight%, More preferably, it is 4 to 6 weight%.
[0025]
ZrO 2 is an optional component, but if it exceeds 6% by weight, the liquidus temperature rises. Preferably it is 0 to 5 weight%, More preferably, it is the range of 2 to 5 weight%. By making these preferable ranges and more preferable ranges, the liquidus temperature can be further lowered. Therefore, although ZrO 2 is an optional component, it is preferable to include this component as a glass component.
[0026]
GeO 2, Al 2 O 3, P 2 O 5, MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO is an optional component. The optical constant can be adjusted by adding an appropriate amount as described above. However, if each component exceeds the above-described upper limit, the refractive index is reduced.
Na 2 O, K 2 O, and Cs 2 O are also optional components, and the optical constants can be adjusted, the yield point, and the glass transition temperature can be lowered by adding the appropriate amounts described above. If each component exceeds the above-described upper limit, the refractive index is lowered.
[0027]
Gd 2 O 3 , Yb 2 O 3 , Ga 2 O 3 , and Lu 2 O 3 are also optional components, and the optical constants can be adjusted by adding the appropriate amounts described above, but when each component exceeds the upper limit described above. Causes the liquidus temperature to rise.
SnO 2 , Sb 2 O 3 , and As 2 O 3 are optional components, and defoaming and clarification effects can be obtained by adding appropriate amounts as described above. However, when each component exceeds the above-described upper limit, the liquidus temperature increases.
[0028]
Optical glasses I, II, and III are all prepared by conventional methods, and dissolved, clarified, stirred, and homogenized to become optical glass.
The present invention also provides an optical product obtained by precision press-molding the above-described optical glass (optical glass I, II, III) of the present invention.
[0029]
When making optical products directly from agitation and homogenized molten glass, the agitated and homogenized molten glass is supplied from the outflow pipe onto the lower mold surface, and the upper mold is opposed to this lower mold. The glass is pressure-molded with a lower mold (hereinafter referred to as direct press). The obtained molded product is ground and polished as necessary to become an optical product.
The homogenized molten glass is once cooled, cold-processed into a desired shape, reheated, and pressure-molded with a molding die. It is ground and polished to become an optical product.
[0030]
Furthermore, as another forming method, the molten glass that has been stirred and homogenized is discharged from the outflow pipe, received by a forming die, a spherical preform is produced, the preform is reheated, and the upper die and There is also a method of pressure molding with a lower mold. In general, a gas is flowed into a mold that receives molten glass, and the glass that has flowed down due to the pressure of the gas is rotated in a floated state to form a spherical shape. In such a method, since the glass stays at a relatively high temperature for a long time, the surface of the optical glass having a liquidus temperature exceeding 1000 ° C. is devitrified.
[0031]
If the preform is precision press-molded, a molded product having the same shape as the final product that does not require grinding or polishing can be obtained. Accordingly, the devitrified preform surface is left in the final product because there is no grinding or polishing step, and the optical properties are deteriorated. The optical glass of the present invention has a liquidus temperature as low as less than 1000 ° C., and the surface does not crystallize even if the preform is hot-molded by the method described above.

[0034]
Even in the case of direct pressing, since the liquidus temperature is as low as less than 1000 ° C., the temperature condition for flowing the molten glass from the outflow pipe without selecting the glass to crystallize, and the temperature condition for pressing are selected. There is a merit that the allowable range can be widened.
In each of the above molding methods, an upper die, a lower die, or a barrel die shape is appropriately selected as necessary, and a lens such as a spherical lens or an aspheric lens, an optical product such as a micro lens, a lens array, a prism, or a polygon mirror. Can be molded.

Optical glasses of Examples 1 to 21 and Comparative Examples 1 to 7 were prepared by a conventional method according to the glass compositions shown in Tables 1 to 4. On the other hand, the glass of Comparative Examples 1, 2, and 3 is obtained by substituting Y 2 O 3 for La 2 O 3 of the glass of Examples 1, 8, and 17, and the glasses of Comparative Examples 1 to 4 and 7 are The undissolved material when melted at 1200 ° C. remained in the glass, and the quality was inappropriate for optical glass. Furthermore, the glass of Comparative Examples 2-4, 6, and 7 has a liquidus temperature of 1000 ° C. or higher, and is easily devitrified. When preparing a preform for precision press molding from molten glass, the glass is devitrified, It could not be used as a material for precision press molding of optical products such as lenses.
Thus, the glass of each example was suitable for press molding, particularly precision press molding.
