【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、駆動源により回転駆動される入力シャフトの回転駆動力を変速して出力シャフトに伝達する無段変速機構および有段回転伝達機構を備えて構成される動力伝達装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
このように無段変速機構および有段回転伝達機構を備えて構成される動力伝達装置は、例えば特許文献1に示されている。この特許文献1に開示の動力伝達装置(変速機)は、エンジンからの回転駆動力を受けるトルクコンバータと、このトルクコンバータの出力軸に繋がる入力シャフトと車輪側に繋がる出力シャフトとの間に並列に配設されたギヤ列(ギヤ式回転伝達機構すなわち有段回転伝達機構)およびベルト式無段変速機構とを有して構成されている。

この特許文献1に開示の装置における動力伝達部材の配置を図7に示しており、回転軸O11を有する入力シャフトの上にベルト式無段変速機構のドライブプーリ501が配設され、回転軸O12を有する中間シャフトの上に配設されたドリブンプーリ502との間にVベルト503が掛けられており、両プーリ501,502のプーリ幅を調整する制御を行って無段変速制御が行われる。このように変速されたドリブンプーリ502の回転は、中間シャフト上に配設された出力ドライブギヤ510から出力シャフト(回転軸O13を有する)の上に配設されてこれと噛合する出力ドリブンギヤ511に伝達される。

一方、入力シャフトには前進ロードライブギヤ505も設けられており、回転軸O13を有する出力シャフトに設けられた前進ロードリブンギヤ506と噛合しており、前進ロー変速段を設定可能である。入力シャフトにはさらに後進ドライブギヤ507が配設されており、これが後進アイドラギヤ508と噛合し、後進アイドラギヤ508は上記出力ドリブンギヤ511と噛合する。これにより後進方向の回転伝達がなされる。なお、出力シャフト上にはファイナルドライブギヤ515が設けられており、これが回転軸O14を有するディファレンシャル機構と一体に形成されたファイナルドリブンギヤ516と噛合しており、上記のように変速されて出力シャフトに伝達された回転駆動力が、これらファイナルドライブおよびドリブンギヤ515,516を介して車輪側に伝達される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、上記のように無段変速機構と有段回転伝達機構とを組み合わせて変速機(動力伝達装置)を構成する場合、これら二つの機構を並列に配設するための組み合わせが多数考えられ、如何に効率よく且つコンパクトに配設するということが重要である。特に、変速機に要求されるトータル変速比レンジ、最大変速比、最小変速比に応じて、できる限り自由度の高い設定が可能であるような構成が求められており、このような要求を満たした上でできる限り小型コンパクトな構成とすることが求められる。

このような観点から見て、上記特許文献1の変速機構成(図7に示した変速機構成)の場合には、大きな変速比(減速比)が要求される前進ロー変速段が前進ロードライブギヤ505と前進ロードリブンギヤ506とにより決められており、前進ロードライブギヤ505の径を小さくし、前進ロードリブンギヤ506の径を大きくする必要があり、その設定の自由度があまり大きくないという問題がある。特に、前進ロードライブギヤ505は入力シャフトの上に配設されるもので入力シャフトの径より大きな径とする必要があるので、これを小径化することが難しく、これに応じて前進ロードリブンギヤ506の径が大径化して変速機が大型化し易いという問題がある。さらに、このように噛合する二つのギヤにより入力シャフトと出力シャフトの軸間距離が決まるため、その設定位置の自由度が小さく、入力シャフトに対して出力シャフトの配置位置の設定自由度が小さいという問題がある。

本発明は、このような問題に鑑みたもので、無段変速機構および有段回転伝達機構を備えて構成される動力伝達装置であって、変速比設定の自由度が高く、各シャフト位置の設定自由度も高く、且つ小型・コンパクト化を図り易い構成の動力伝達装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
このような目的達成のため、本発明に係る動力伝達装置は、駆動源(例えば、エンジン)により回転駆動される入力シャフト(例えば、実施形態におけるプライマリーシャフト1)の回転駆動力を変速して出力シャフト(例えば、実施形態におけるカウンターシャフト3)に伝達する無段変速機構(例えば、実施形態におけるベルト式無段変速機構CVT)および有段回転伝達機構を備えて構成される。そして、無段変速機構が、入力シャフトの回転を無段階に変速して中間シャフト(例えば、実施形態におけるセカンダリーシャフト2)に伝達するように構成され、有段回転伝達機構が、入力シャフトの回転をアイドラシャフト上に設けられたアイドラギヤを介して中間シャフトに伝達する前進用ギヤ列と、中間シャフトの回転を出力シャフトに伝達する前進出力伝達ギヤ列と、入力シャフトの回転をアイドラシャフト上に設けられたアイドラギヤを介して出力シャフトに伝達する後進用ギヤ列とを有し、前進用ギヤ列の回転伝達を系脱自在に連結させる前進クラッチと後進用ギヤ列の回転伝達を系脱自在に連結させる後進クラッチとが互いに異なるシャフト上に配設されて構成される。

なお、この動力伝達装置において、後進用ギヤ列が、入力シャフト上に設けられた入力ドライブギヤと、この入力ドライブギヤに噛合するアイドラギヤと、このアイドラギヤに噛合するとともに出力シャフト上に設けられた後進用ドリブンギヤとからなるように構成するのが好ましい。
さらに、前進用ギヤ列が、入力シャフト上に設けられた入力ドライブギヤと、この入力ドライブギヤに噛合するアイドラギヤと、このアイドラギヤに噛合するとともに中間シャフト上に設けられた前進用ドリブンギヤとからなるように構成するのも好ましい。

以上のような構成の本発明に係る動力伝達装置によれば、有段回転伝達機構が、入力シャフト(入力ドライブギヤ)の回転をアイドラシャフト(アイドラギヤ)を介して中間シャフト(前進用ドリブンギヤ)に伝達する前進用ギヤ列と、中間シャフトの回転を出力シャフトに伝達する前進出力伝達ギヤ列と、入力シャフト(入力ドライブギヤ)の回転をアイドラシャフト(アイドラギヤ)を介して出力シャフト(後進用ドリブンギヤ)に伝達する後進用ギヤ列とを有して構成されている。このように、前進用ギヤ列および後進用ギヤ列がともにアイドラシャフト(アイドラギヤ)を介して回転伝達を行うように構成されているので、変速比設定の自由度が高く、各シャフト位置の設定自由度も高い。特に、アイドラシャフト(アイドラギヤ)が前進用および後進用ギヤ列に共用されているため、必要ギヤおよびシャフト数を抑えて変速機を小型・コンパクト化し易い。また、このようにアイドラシャフト(アイドラギヤ)を共用することにより、前進用および後進用ギヤ列を同一面上に並べて配設することができ、変速機の軸方向寸法を抑えて、変速機を小型・コンパクト化することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を参照して本発明の好ましい実施形態について説明する。

【第1実施形態】
まず、第1の実施形態に係る変速機(動力伝達装置)を図1〜図3に示している。この変速機は、変速機ハウジングHSG内に、トルクコンバータTC、ベルト式無段変速機構CVT、有段回転伝達機構GT、および終減速機構FGを図示のように配設して構成されている。トルクコンバータTCの入力側部材(ポンプインペラ)はエンジン(図示せず)の出力軸に繋がり、トルクコンバータTCの出力側部材(タービンランナ)にはプライマリーシャフト(入力シャフト)1が繋がっており、エンジンの出力回転がトルクコンバータTCを介してプライマリーシャフト1に伝達される。プライマリーシャフト1の回転中心軸を符号O1で示す。

ハウジングHSG内にはプライマリーシャフト1と所定間隔を有して平行に延びるセカンダリーシャフト(中間シャフト)2が回転自在に配設されており、これらプライマリーシャフト1とセカンダリーシャフト2とに跨って、ベルト式無段変速機構CVTが配設されている。セカンダリーシャフト2の回転中心軸を符号O2で示す。このベルト式無段変速機構CVTは、プライマリーシャフト1に支持されたドライブプーリ10と、セカンダリーシャフト2に支持されたドリブンプーリ15と、ドライブプーリ10およびドリブンプーリ15間に巻き掛けられた金属Vベルト14とを備える。

ドライブプーリ10は、プライマリーシャフト1の上に相対回転自在に配設された固定側プーリ半体11と、固定側プーリ半体11と一体回転し且つこれに対して近接・離反するように軸方向に移動可能に配設された可動側プーリ半体12とを備えて構成される。可動プーリ半体12の側面にドライブ油室13が形成されており、ドライブ油室13にドライブ制御油圧を供給して可動側プーリ半体12の軸方向移動を制御するようになっている。ドリブンプーリ15は、セカンダリーシャフト2の上に結合して配設された固定側プーリ半体16と、固定側プーリ半体16と一体回転し且つこれに対して近接・離反するように軸方向に移動可能に配設された可動側プーリ半体17とを備えて構成される。この可動プーリ半体17の側面にはドリブン油室18が形成されており、ドリブン油室18にドリブン制御油圧を供給して可動側プーリ半体17の軸方向移動を制御するようになっている。

無段変速機構CVTにおいては、上記のようにドライブ油室13およびドリブン油室18への油圧供給を制御してドライブプーリ10およびドリブンプーリ15のプーリ幅を可変調整し、金属Vベルト14の巻き掛け半径を可変設定し、ドライブプーリ10の回転を無段階に変速してドリブンプーリ15に伝達する変速制御を行う。なお、プライマリーシャフト1の上に、ドライブプーリ10に隣接してCVTクラッチ21が配設されており、プライマリーシャフト1の上に相対回転自在に配設されたドライブプーリ10をCVTクラッチ21によりプライマリーシャフト1に係脱可能となっている。

次に、有段回転伝達機構GTについて説明する。有段回転伝達機構GTは、入力ドライブギヤ31、この入力ドライブギヤ31と噛合するアイドラギヤ32、およびアイドラギヤ32と噛合するLOWドリブンギヤ33とからなるLOWギヤ列(前進用ギヤ列)を備える。入力ドライブギヤ31はプライマリーシャフト1と一体に形成されている。アイドラギヤ32は、プライマリーシャフト1と所定間隔を有して平行に延びるとともにハウジングHSGにより回転自在に支持されたアイドラシャフト4と一体に形成されている。このアイドラシャフト4の回転中心軸を符号O5で示す。また、入力ドリブンギヤ33は、セカンダリシャフト2の上に回転自在に配設されている。

入力ドリブンギヤ33の内周部にワンウエイクラッチ24が配設されるとともに、入力ドリブンギヤ33に隣接してLOWクラッチ22が配設されている。このLOWクラッチ22は、ワンウエイクラッチ24を介して入力ドリブンギヤ33とセカンダリーシャフト2とを係脱自在に連結する。この結果、LOWクラッチ22を係合させると、LOWギヤ列を介して入力ドライブギヤ31からセカンダリーシャフト2への駆動方向の回転伝達が可能となるが、ワンウエイクラッチ24の作用によりこれと逆方向(エンジンブレーキが作用する方向)の回転伝達は行われない。なお、LOWクラッチ22が解放された状態では、LOWギヤ列を介した回転伝達はできない状態となる。

有段回転伝達機構GTは、前進ドライブギヤ34およびこれと噛合する前進ドリブンギヤ35からなる前進出力伝達ギヤ列も備える。前進ドライブギヤ34はセカンダリーシャフト2に結合されて配設されており、前進ドリブンギヤ35はセカンダリーシャフト2と所定間隔を有して平行に延びるとともにハウジングHSGにより回転自在に支持されたカウンターシャフト3に結合されて配設されている。このカウンターシャフト3の回転中心軸を符号O3で示す。このため、セカンダリーシャフト2の回転は前進出力伝達ギヤ列を介してそのままカウンターシャフト3に伝達される。

有段回転伝達機構GTはさらに、カウンターシャフト3の上に回転自在に配設されるとともに、上記アイドラギヤ32と噛合するリバースドリブンギヤ36も備える。これにより、入力ドライブギヤ31、アイドラギヤ32およびリバースドリブンギヤ36からなる後進用ギヤ列が構成される。リバースドリブンギヤ36には後進クラッチ23が設けられており、後進クラッチ23によりリバースドリブンギヤ36をカウンターシャフト3と係脱させることができる。このため、後進クラッチ23を係合させれば、後進用ギヤ列を介して回転動力伝達が行われる状態となる。

カウンターシャフト3にはファイナルドライブギヤ37が一体に形成されており、このファイナルドライブギヤ37はファイナルドリブンギヤ38と噛合し、終減速機構FGを構成している。ファイナルドリブンギヤ38にはディファレンシャル機構40が取り付けられており、ファイナルドリブンギヤ38の回転はディファレンシャル機構40を介して左右のアクスルシャフト41,42に分割して伝達され、左右の車輪(図示せず)を駆動する。なお、これらファイナルドリブンギヤ38およびディファレンシャル機構40の回転中心軸を符号O4により示している。

以上のように構成された変速機(動力伝達装置)の変速作動について以下に説明する。エンジンからの回転駆動力はトルクコンバータTCを介してプライマリーシャフト1に伝達されるが、CVTクラッチ21、LOWクラッチ22および後進クラッチ23が解放された状態ではこの回転駆動力はカウンターシャフト3に伝達されず、ニュートラル状態となる。

ニュートラル状態からLOWクラッチ22を係合させると、プライマリーシャフト1の回転駆動力は、LOWギヤ列(入力ドライブギヤ31、アイドラギヤ32およびLOWドリブンギヤ33)を介してセカンダリーシャフト2に伝達され、さらに、前進出力伝達ギヤ列(前進ドライブギヤ34および前進ドリブンギヤ35)を介してカウンターシャフト3に伝達される。そして、終減速機構FGを介して左右の車輪に伝達されてこれが駆動される。すなわち、LOWレンジが設定される。なお、LOWレンジにおいては、ワンウエイクラッチ24の作用により、車輪駆動方向の回転駆動力は伝達されるが、これと逆方向の回転駆動力は伝達されない。

次に、CVTクラッチ21を係合させると、プライマリーシャフト1の回転駆動力はドライブプーリ10に伝達される。この状態で、ドライブ油室13およびドリブン油室18への供給油圧を制御してドライブプーリ10およびドリブンプーリ15のプーリ幅を可変制御し、無段変速制御が行われる。これにより、ドリブンプーリ15の回転が無段階に変速制御されてセカンダリーシャフト2に伝達され、さらに、前進出力伝達ギヤ列を介してカウンターシャフト3に伝達され、終減速機構FGを介して左右の車輪に伝達されてこれが駆動される。すなわち、CVTレンジ(前進無段変速レンジ)が設定される。

一方、ニュートラル状態から、後進クラッチ23を係合させると、プライマリーシャフト1の回転駆動力は後進用ギヤ列(入力ドライブギヤ31、アイドラギヤ32およびリバースドリブンギヤ36)を介してカウンターシャフト3に伝達される。このとき、カウンターシャフト3の回転方向は、上記LOWレンジおよびCVTレンジのときと逆方向であり、この回転駆動力が終減速機構FGを介して左右の車輪に伝達されてこれが後進方向に駆動される。すなわち、後進レンジが設定される。

【第2実施形態】
次に、本発明の第2の実施形態に係る変速機(動力伝達装置)について、図4を参照して説明する。図4に示す変速機は、上述した第1の実施形態に係る変速機と類似する構成を有しているため、同一機能部品について同一番号を付して重複する説明は省略する。

この変速機は、上述した第1の実施形態に係る変速機に対して、まずセカンダリーシャフト2上におけるLOWクラッチ22(およびLOWドリブンギヤ33)および前進ドライブギヤ34の配置が相違する。さらに、この配置に相違に対応して、カウンターシャフト3の上における前進ドリブンギヤ35の配置が相違する。しかしながら、その他の構成は同一であり、且つこのようにクラッチおよびギヤの配置が相違するのみで、機能および作動は同一であり、上記第1の実施形態に係る変速機と全く同一の変速作動がなされる。

【第3実施形態】
次に、本発明の第3の実施形態に係る変速機について、図5を参照して説明する。図5に示す変速機は、上述した第1の実施形態に係る変速機と類似する構成を有しているため、同一機能部品について同一番号を付して重複する説明は省略する。

この変速機においては、有段回転伝達機構GTの構成が第1実施形態の変速機と相違している。まず、アイドラシャフト4(回転中心軸O5)の上に、第1アイドラギヤ132aが回転自在に設けられるとともに、第2アイドラギヤ132bがワンウェイクラッチ24を介して結合されて設けられており、LOWギヤ列の構成が相違する。すなわち、LOWギヤ列は、入力ドライブギヤ31と、この入力ドライブギヤ31と噛合する第1アイドラギヤ132aと、第2アイドラギヤ132bと、この第2アイドラギヤ132bと噛合するLOWドリブンギヤ133とからなり、LOWドリブンギヤ133はセカンダリーシャフト2に結合されて配設されている。また、アイドラシャフト4の上に、第1アイドラギヤ132aとアイドラシャフト4とを係脱するLOWクラッチ122が設けられている。このため、LOWクラッチ122を係合させると、LOWギヤ列を介して入力ドライブギヤ31からセカンダリーシャフト2への駆動方向の回転伝達が可能となり、これを解放するとLOWギヤ列を介した回転伝達はできない状態となる。

この変速機においては、有段回転伝達機構GTの構成が第1実施形態の変速機と相違している。まず、アイドラシャフト24(回転中心軸O5)の上に、第1アイドラギヤ232aが結合されて配設され、第2アイドラギヤ232bが回転自在に設けられ、第3アイドラギヤ232cも回転自在に設けられており、LOWギヤ列および後進ギヤ列の構成が相違する。LOWギヤ列は、入力ドライブギヤ31と、この入力ドライブギヤ31と噛合する第1アイドラギヤ232aと、第2アイドラギヤ232bと、この第2アイドラギヤ232bと噛合するLOWドリブンギヤ233とからなり、LOWドリブンギヤ233はセカンダリーシャフト22に結合されて配設されている。また、アイドラシャフト24の上には、第2アイドラギヤ232bをアイドラシャフト24に係脱させるLOWクラッチ222がワンウェイクラッチ24を介して設けられている。このため、LOWクラッチ222を係合させると、LOWギヤ列を介して入力ドライブギヤ31からセカンダリーシャフト22への駆動方向の回転伝達が可能となり、これを解放するとLOWギヤ列を介した回転伝達はできない状態となる。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように、本発明によれば、入力シャフトの上に設けられたドライブプーリと、中間シャフトの上に設けられたドリブンプーリと、ドライブプーリおよびドリブンプーリ間に掛けられたVベルトとを有して構成される無段変速機構と、入力シャフト上に設けられた入力ドライブギヤの回転を、アイドラギヤを介して、中間シャフト上に設けられた前進用ドリブンギヤに伝達する前進用ギヤ列と、中間シャフトの回転を出力シャフトに伝達する前進出力伝達ギヤ列と、入力シャフト上に設けられた入力ドライブギヤの回転を、アイドラギヤを介して、出力シャフト上に設けられた後進用ドリブンギヤに伝達する後進用ギヤ列とを有して構成される有段回転伝達機構とにより動力伝達装置が構成されており、このように、前進用ギヤ列および後進用ギヤ列がともにアイドラギヤを介して回転伝達を行うように構成されているので、変速比設定の自由度が高く、各シャフト位置の設定自由度も高い。特に、アイドラギヤが前進用および後進用ギヤ列に共用されているため、必要ギヤおよびシャフト数を抑えて変速機を小型・コンパクト化し易い。また、このようにアイドラギヤを共用することにより、前進用および後進用ギヤ列を同一面上に並べて配設することができ、変速機の軸方向寸法を抑えて、変速機を小型・コンパクト化することができる。
