Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a snow vehicle equipped with a four-cycle engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, an engine mounted on a small snow vehicle such as a snowmobile has a relatively simple structure, a lightweight, compact and powerful two-cycle. Recently, however, the 4-cycle engine has been promoted with the aim of improving exhaust gas regulations and fuel efficiency. Compared to the high-power and compact 2-cycle engine, the 4-cycle engine that requires camshaft and oil lubrication is It tends to be large.
[0003]
Therefore, in order to make the body and engine hood shape of a snow vehicle equipped with a 4-cycle engine the same size as when a 2-cycle engine is installed, the layout of the oil pan shape, intake, exhaust and related accessories is devised. Is indispensable.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in order to improve the steerability of snowmobiles, to lower the center of gravity when the engine is installed, lower the engine position to the same level as the steering tie rod, and to set the center of gravity to the center of the vehicle, push the engine to the steering post. Is desirable.
[0005]
However, when the engine of a snow vehicle is replaced with a 4-cycle engine from a 2-cycle engine, the case where the crank center of the 4-cycle engine is set at the same position as the crank center of the previous 2-cycle engine is considered 4 There is an oil pan at the bottom of the cycle engine, and the overall height of the engine is higher than that of the 2-cycle engine, so when placing the engine so that the cylinder faces upright, the engine interferes with the steering rod, or the cylinder head or throttle body There may be a problem that may interfere with the engine hood.
[0006]
In addition, a two-cycle engine of a snow vehicle requires a large-capacity expansion chamber in order to improve performance, and this chamber is usually routed on the side opposite to the drive clutch and connected to a muffler. The exhaust system is arranged in order to maintain the handling space and to balance the left and right weights. A flywheel magneto, chamber, and muffler are placed on the opposite side of the heavy clutch. To do.
[0007]
Electronic / electrical components such as an engine control unit (ECU) and a capacity discharge ignition (CDI) unit are attached to an upper portion of an air cleaner, a chassis, or an engine to prevent damage due to vibration.
However, it is necessary to collect or clamp the wiring in which these electronic / electrical parts are arranged at a distance from the engine, which is not preferable in terms of layout.
[0008]
In addition, a model with a starter motor requires a battery for the power supply, and the battery is arranged at a position avoiding the vicinity of the clutch and the muffler. However, since there is a distance from the engine, it is necessary to route and clamp the lead wire. .
[0009]
Moreover, if the exit of the muffler is near the driver, the noise can be heard loudly and it is annoying. In addition, if the muffler exit is offset to either the left or right side of the vehicle body, there is a problem that the exhaust sound during traveling is different because the volume differs between the left and right sides of the vehicle body.
[0010]
The present invention has been made paying attention to the above-mentioned problems of the prior art. A four-cycle engine can be mounted on a snow vehicle without interfering with the engine hood and with a low center of gravity, and the center of gravity of the engine is set to the center of gravity of the vehicle body. An object of the present invention is to provide a snow vehicle equipped with a four-cycle engine that can approach and lower the position of the center of gravity to improve running performance.
[0011]
It is another object of the present invention to provide a four-cycle engine that can reduce engine exhaust noise.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention achieves the object by the following configuration.
That is, the present invention accommodates a four-cycle engine in an engine hood located in front of the seat at the front of the vehicle body, and forms an upward bulge at the top of the engine hood. In a snow vehicle with a headlamp on the front side of
The four-cycle engine is a rear-tilt engine in which the crankshaft is along the vehicle body width direction and the center axis of the cylinder is inclined backward with respect to the vehicle body vertical direction line, and the cylinder head is disposed below the headlamp,
An exhaust manifold connected to the exhaust port at the front of the cylinder head and an exhaust muffler located in front of the engine and connected to the exhaust manifold outlet side through an exhaust pipe are disposed in the engine hood.
The exhaust muffler is disposed between the left and right sled house portions that protrude below the engine cylinder and project upward inside the engine hood .
This is a snow vehicle equipped with a four-cycle engine in which an exhaust pipe connected to an exhaust manifold extends forward and downward toward the exhaust muffler and is connected to one side of the exhaust muffler in the vehicle width direction.
[0013]
According to the present invention, in a snow vehicle in which an upward bulging portion is formed at the uppermost portion of the engine hood and a headlamp is provided on the front side of the bulging portion , the four-cycle engine is rearranged in the engine hood at the front of the vehicle body. By tilting the engine, the center of gravity of the engine can be brought closer to the center of the vehicle body, and the position of the center of gravity can be lowered even when the cylinder head position is lowered, improving the maneuverability and improving the running performance of snow vehicles.
In addition, the engine hood can be further reduced in height than can be disposed with a degree of freedom, such as an exhaust pipe, because the front of the engine is widened by the rearward tilt of the engine.
[0014]
Further, since an upward bulging portion is formed at the uppermost portion of the engine hood and a headlamp is provided at the front portion of the bulging portion, there is an empty space at the uppermost portion of the engine hood where the headlamp is disposed. A part of the intake system can be accommodated in the space behind the headlamp, which is a space, so that the intake system can be accommodated efficiently and the shape of the engine hood can be lowered.
The exhaust muffler is disposed between the left and right sled house portions that protrude downward from the engine cylinder and inside the engine hood, and an exhaust pipe connected to the exhaust manifold is disposed forward of the exhaust muffler. Since it extends downward, it falls forward from the engine to the exhaust pipe and the exhaust muffler, and has a shape that follows the shape of the forward-lowering engine hood to improve aerodynamic performance.
[0015]
Incidentally, to that so as to release the exhaust opening of the exhaust gas discharging path from the muffler from the opening provided in the vehicle width direction central portion position of the vehicle body lower surface portion toward the outside of the vehicle body.
In this way, exhaust can be emitted from the vehicle width direction center on the underside of the vehicle body, and the exhaust noise is divided into two sides from the lower side of the vehicle body and at the front of the vehicle body. It will not be a nuisance to the elderly. In addition, since it is at the center of the vehicle width, the exhaust noise during driving is the same on the left and right sides of the vehicle body, and by setting it downward, it is possible to expect a noise reduction effect due to snow splashed on the snow surface or steering sled.
[0017]
Further, the exhaust muffler is a substantially cylindrical body, and the exhaust from the engine is introduced into the exhaust muffler via an exhaust pipe connected to one side in the vehicle width direction with the cylindrical body axis extending along the vehicle width direction. By doing so, the exhaust muffler can be accommodated in the engine hood without taking the front-rear length.
[0018]
Further, in the engine hood, it is preferable to arrange the four-cycle engine such that the center position in the crankshaft direction is deviated to one side with respect to the center position in the vehicle body width direction.
[0019]
Further, in the engine hood, it is preferable that a clutch device is disposed on one side in the vehicle width direction with the engine interposed therebetween, and a battery is disposed on the other side in the vehicle width direction. In this way, it is possible to easily balance the weight of the left and right sides of the vehicle body.
[0020]
Moreover, it is preferable to install an electrical component in the battery holder part which mounts a battery. In this way, for example, electrical components such as an ECU and a CDI unit can be installed in the battery holder portion to achieve a better weight balance, and electrical components can be disposed immediately next to the engine, so Lead wires can be shortened, and wiring can be handled easily.

【The invention's effect】
Above As described, according to this invention, since the four-cycle engine to the rear inclined, it is possible to avoid interference with much suppressed by the engine hood and headlamps engine overall height compared to the upright engine.
Also, by tilting the 4-cycle engine backward in the engine hood at the front of the vehicle body, the center of gravity of the engine can be brought closer to the center of the vehicle body, and the position of the center of gravity can be lowered by lowering the cylinder head position. This improves the driving performance of snow vehicles.
Further, the front of the engine becomes wider when the engine is tilted backward, and the height of the engine hood can be further reduced as compared with the case where the exhaust pipe or the like can be provided with a degree of freedom.
[0049]
Also, an upward bulge is formed at the top of the engine hood, and a headlamp is provided at the front of the bulge, and an empty space is provided at the top of the engine hood where the headlamp is disposed. A part of the intake system can be accommodated in the space behind the headlamp so that the intake system can be accommodated in a space-efficient manner and the shape of the engine hood can be lowered.
Further, the exhaust muffler is disposed between the left and right sled house parts that protrude downward from the engine cylinder and inside the engine hood, and an exhaust pipe connected to the exhaust manifold descends forward toward the exhaust muffler. Can be extended to If it does in this way, it will go down from an engine to an exhaust pipe and an exhaust muffler, and it will become a shape along the shape of an engine hood which falls forward for improvement of aerodynamic performance.
[0050]
Note that an opening of the exhaust lead-out path from the muffler can be provided at a vehicle width direction central position of the lower surface portion of the vehicle body, and exhaust can be discharged from the opening toward the outside of the vehicle body.
[0052]
Further, the exhaust muffler is a substantially cylindrical body, and the exhaust from the engine is introduced into the exhaust muffler via an exhaust pipe connected to one side in the vehicle width direction with the cylindrical body axis extending along the vehicle width direction. By doing so, the exhaust muffler can be accommodated in the engine hood without taking the front-rear length.
[0053]
Further, in the engine hood, it is preferable to arrange the four-stroke engine so that the center position in the crankshaft direction is deviated to one side with respect to the center position in the vehicle body width direction. The space usage efficiency is high.
[0054]
Further, in the engine hood, it is preferable that a clutch device is disposed on one side in the vehicle width direction with the engine interposed therebetween, and a battery is disposed on the other side in the vehicle width direction. In this way, it is possible to easily balance the weight of the left and right sides of the vehicle body.
[0055]
Moreover, it is preferable to install an electrical component in the battery holder part which mounts a battery. In this way, for example, electrical components such as an ECU and a CDI unit can be installed in the battery holder portion to achieve a better weight balance, and electrical components can be disposed immediately next to the engine, so Lead wires can be shortened, and wiring can be handled easily.
