Description
Paper punching device for punching paper discharged from a copying machine, printer, printing machine, etc., paper processing device equipped with this paper punching device, printer with this paper processing device provided integrally or separately, and copying machine The present invention relates to an image forming system including an image forming apparatus such as a facsimile, a computer program for executing a control function of the paper punching apparatus by a computer, and a recording medium on which the computer program is recorded.
In recent years, there has been a demand for downsizing and cost reduction of devices. In a paper punching device (hereinafter also referred to as a punch unit), a DC brush motor has been used as a punching drive motor in order to reduce the size and cost. On the other hand, a 2-hole / 3-hole switching punch function and a faster punching operation (shortening the punching time) are also required, which tends to deteriorate the stopping accuracy, and improving the stopping accuracy is a problem.
As described in
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a low-cost paper punching device that is small in size, capable of high-speed processing, and has good motor stop accuracy, a paper processing device provided with the paper punching device, and an image forming device including the paper processing device.
<First embodiment>
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a paper post-processing apparatus according to a first embodiment of the present invention, and FIGS. 2 and 3 show a schematic configuration of an image forming system including the paper post-processing apparatus shown in FIG. FIG. The form shown in FIG. 2 shows an outline of a system as a copying machine, and includes an image forming apparatus PR, a paper feeding apparatus PF that supplies paper to the image forming apparatus, a scanner SC for reading an image, and a circulating automatic document. It consists of a feeding device ARDF. The sheet on which the image is formed by the image forming apparatus PR is conveyed to the entrance guide plate of the finisher FR via the relay unit CU. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a printer-type system without the scanner SC and the circulation type automatic document feeder ARDF, and other configurations are the same as those of the copying machine.
The sheet post-processing device indicated as the finisher FR is attached to the side portion of the image forming apparatus PR as described above, and the paper discharged from the image forming apparatus PR is guided to the paper post-processing device FR, and the rear of the paper Various post-processing are performed by the function of the processing device FR. The image forming apparatus PR may be any apparatus having a known image forming function, such as an apparatus for an electrophotographic image forming process or an apparatus having an inkjet print head. .

A common inlet conveyance path A upstream of the upper conveyance path B, intermediate conveyance path C, and lower conveyance path D has an

The intermediate transport path C is provided with a shift roller 9 that can move the paper by a fixed amount in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction. The shift roller 9 exhibits a shift function by being moved in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction by a driving means (not shown). The sheet sent to the intermediate conveyance path C through the
A staple
The trailing edge of the sheet discharged to the
The sheets stacked on the
The
As shown in FIG. 7, the
The staple unit 5 includes a
The middle folding mechanism portion is located downstream of the staple unit 5 in the sheet conveyance direction (downstream side when folding the sheet, and lower position). This is composed of a pair of
As shown in FIG. 8, the
The end face binding operation is shown in FIG. In FIG. 9A, the rear end portion in the paper conveyance direction and the direction orthogonal to the paper conveyance direction are aligned, and the required number of sheets of one copy is aligned. From this state, as shown in FIG. 9 (b), it is caught by the
The operation of saddle stitching is shown in FIG. In FIG. 10A, the rear end portion in the paper transport direction and the direction orthogonal to the paper transport direction are aligned, and the required number of sheets of one copy is aligned. From this state, as shown in FIG. 10B, the sheet is caught by the
The saddle-stitched sheet bundle is further conveyed downward as shown in FIG. 10C, positioned after being brought into contact with the

As shown in FIG. 12, the punch unit according to the present embodiment is a punch unit capable of punching with 2 holes (3-1) and 3 holes (3-2). The selection of whether or not to drill and the driving mechanism at that time are the same as the invention described in
The sheet conveyed to the sheet post-processing apparatus FR enters the
When the DC brush motor 3-6 shown in FIG. 14 rotates, the encoder 3-5 attached on the shaft of the DC brush motor 3-6 rotates, and the output of the pulse count sensor 3-3 changes. As shown in FIG. 11, the output of the
When the punch blade 3-1 or 3-2 is in the home position state and the home position filler 3-7 is rotated halfway and stopped, either the punch blade 3-1 or 3-2 is perforated according to the rotation direction. The operation (vertical movement) is performed and the home position is restored. When the DC brush motor 3-6 is rotated in the opposite direction from the previous state from this state, the same punch blade (3-1 or 3-2) as the previous time performs the punching operation again. When the DC brush motor 3-6 is rotated in the same direction as the previous time, a punch blade (3-1 or 3-2) different from the previous time performs a punching operation.
The biggest problem when the DC brush motor 3-6 is used as a power source is poor stop accuracy. When stopping operation from punching in exactly the same control, the stop position varies greatly due to variations in motor characteristics, drive voltage, punched paper thickness, mechanical load between units, etc. . If the stopping accuracy is poor, the punching blade will be disengaged from the home position at the time of stopping, causing problems in paper conveyance and the like.
Pn=P−Ps
となる。
Therefore, in this embodiment, the following control is performed.
Immediately after the rotation of the motor in the punching operation, the
Pn = P-Ps
It becomes.
If the motor speed increases due to a high drive voltage (near the upper limit within the power supply specification tolerance) or a thin perforated sheet, the stop position tends to overrun the target. Conversely, if the motor speed is slow due to low drive voltage (near the lower limit within the power supply specification tolerance) or thick perforated paper, the stop position tends to come closer to the target. Also, the stop position may change depending on the temperature characteristics of the motor. Therefore, the stop position is corrected by re-driving the motor so as to be as close as possible to the target stop position.
Pdev=Pns−Ptg ・・・(1)
The paper is punched by the first motor driving operation, the brake is applied, and the motor is stopped. This first motor drive operation corresponds to the first motor drive operation for the punching operation, and refers to the period from the first motor start to the motor stop in the timing charts of FIGS. 16 and 17. As described above, the number of count pulses from the home position OFF is Pn = P−Ps, and Pn when the motor is stopped is Pns. On the other hand, if the target value of Pns is Ptg, the pulse deviation amount Pdev when the first motor drive operation is stopped is
Pdev = Pns−Ptg (1)
It becomes. Pdev> 0 when the target stop position is overrun, and Pdev <0 when the target stop position is stopped. When the vehicle has just stopped at the target stop position, Pdev = 0.
IN1=L,IN2=H : モータ正転
IN1=H,IN2=L : モータ逆転
IN1=L,IN2=L : モータブレーキ
Therefore, the correction by re-driving is performed by rotating the motor in the opposite direction to the first motor driving operation when Pdev> 0 as shown in the timing charts of FIGS. 16 and 17 (FIG. 16). When Pdev <0, the motor is rotated in the same direction with respect to the first motor driving operation (FIG. 17) to bring the punch blade closer to the target stop position. In these timing charts,
IN1 = L, IN2 = H: Motor forward rotation IN1 = H, IN2 = L: Motor reverse rotation IN1 = L, IN2 = L: Motor brake PCS: Pulse count sensor 3-3
HPS: Home position sensor 3-4
The tying of each is shown. If Pdev = 0, no re-drive is performed. Even if Pdev is not 0, when the punch blade is in the home position, etc., and there is no problem in the conveyance of the paper and the next punching operation, the re-drive may not be performed.
Tad=Kt×Pdev ・・・(2)
When the motor drive amount at the time of re-drive is changed according to the value of the pulse shift amount Pdev at the time of stopping the first motor drive operation, it can be brought closer to the target stop position. Therefore, when the motor driving time at the time of re-driving is Tad [ms], Tad is
Tad = Kt × Pdev (2)
Kt: It can be derived from the redrive time correction coefficient. That is, by driving the Tad [ms] motor and then applying the brake, it is possible to approach the target stop position regardless of the value of the pulse deviation amount Pdev when the first motor drive operation is stopped. This processing procedure is shown in FIGS. The driving amount of the motor itself can be measured from the number of pulses or the time if the driving pulses are counted or the time when the motor is driven is known, and this measurement is performed by the
First, in this process, the rotation direction flag of the punch motor 3-6 is checked (step S101). If it is on the forward rotation side, the punch motor 3-6 is rotated forward (step S102), and the rotation side is on the reverse rotation side. Reverse rotation is performed (step S103). The
When the pulse motor 3-6 stops (step S108), the amount of pulse deviation at the time of the first motor drive operation stop is substituted for Pdev (step S109), and whether Pdev is positive, in other words, whether it is overrun. Check (step S110). Then, the rotation direction flag of the punch motor 3-6 is checked (step S111). If the rotation direction flag is 1, the punch motor 3-6 is reversely rotated (step S112). The forward rotation is performed and the process proceeds to step S118a. On the other hand, if Pdev is not positive in step S110, it is checked whether Pdev is negative (step S114). If it is not negative, that is, if Pdev = 0, the process proceeds to step S118a. The rotation direction flag of the motor 3-6 is checked (step S115). If the rotation direction flag is 1, the punch motor 3-6 is rotated forward (step S116). If it is not 1, the punch motor 3-6 is rotated backward. (Step S117), the process proceeds to Step S118a.
In step S118a, after the punch motor 3-6 is restarted, when the drive time Tad calculated by the equation (2) has elapsed, the punch motor 3-6 is braked (step S119). Then, when the punch motor 3-6 stops (step S120), the punch motor rotation direction flag is reversed (step S121), and the process is terminated.

Pad =Kp×Pdev ・・・(3)
<Second embodiment>
When measuring the motor driving amount at the time of re-driving, the count pulse may be used instead of the time. The count pulse Pad is
Pad = Kp × Pdev (3)
Kp: can be derived from the re-driving pulse correction coefficient. That is, by driving the Pad [pulse] motor and then applying the brake, the target stop position can be approached regardless of the value of the pulse deviation amount Pdev when the first motor drive operation is stopped. Processing procedures in the second embodiment for processing in this way are shown in FIGS. Since the second embodiment is different from the first embodiment only in the processing, the same reference numerals are given to the same components, and the duplicate description is omitted.
The processing procedure shown in FIGS. 20 and 21 adds a motor driving time measurement start process (step S104b) to the previous stage of step S104a with respect to the processing procedures shown in FIGS. 18 and 19, and at the time of step S118a. Instead, the timing for applying the brake to the pulse motor 3-6 is set (step S119) based on the count value of the number of pulses Pad calculated by the equation (3) (step S118b). All other processes are the same as those in FIGS.
Each part not specifically described is configured in the same manner as the first embodiment and functions in the same manner.
<Third embodiment>
By the way, if the timing of the re-drive is a specified time T1 [ms] after the start of the first motor drive, the punching time (from the start of the first motor drive to the end of the re-drive) can be shortened. If the time taken from the start of driving the first motor to the stop of driving is 100 [ms], T1 is set to about 80 [ms]. In this case, the motor has not stopped yet after T1 [ms] from the start of the first motor drive. However, in the case of a DC brush motor, the drive speed immediately before the stop is sufficiently reduced, and the motor drive amount that moves from T1 to the motor stop is often negligible with respect to the allowable variation in stop accuracy. Therefore, the pulse deviation amount Pdev is detected at the time of T1 [ms], and it is possible to approach the target stop position by performing re-driving, and further, punch punching time (from the start of the first motor driving to the end of re-driving). Can be shortened. In other words, the speed of the apparatus can be increased. Processing procedures in the third embodiment for processing in this way are shown in FIGS. In addition, timing charts at this time are shown in FIGS. The third embodiment is different from the second embodiment in that, in step S108, it is checked whether or not a specified time T1 [ms] has elapsed from the start of driving the first motor (step S108a). It is. All other processes are the same as those in FIGS. 20 and 21, and thus redundant description is omitted.
Note that, as shown in FIGS. 24 and 25, since there is no time lag between the stop of the motor and the forward rotation or reverse rotation driving, it is understood that the time is shortened accordingly.
As described above, after T1 [ms] from the start of driving the first motor, since the motor has not stopped yet, even when the target stop position is re-driven with the home position as the center, for example, it stops at a slightly overrun position. It is possible to do. In this case, the target stop position is set in front of the original stop position. Specifically, Ptg in equation (1) is set to a smaller value than the original target value of Ptg, Pdev is calculated by equation (1), and the motor is redriven by equation (2) or (3). By determining the amount, it is possible to approach the original target stop position.
Each part not specifically described is configured in the same manner as the first embodiment and functions in the same manner.
<Fourth embodiment>
According to the embodiments described so far, the punch blade can be brought close to the target stop position, but since the re-driving is performed, the punch perforation time becomes longer than when the re-driving is not performed. If the device is not so fast, it is safe to wait until re-drive is stopped and start transporting the punched paper. However, if you want to speed up the device, the paper punched before stopping the motor in the first motor drive operation Start transporting. When the punching of the paper is performed by the first motor driving operation and the punch blade enters the home position, the punch blade does not protrude into the gap 3-11. There is no catch. If the first drive operation overruns and the home position is exceeded, the punch blade (3-1 or 3-2) different from the previous one protrudes into the gap 3-11 as described above. It is moving and there is no punch hole directly under the punch blade. Therefore, the edge of the punch hole of the paper is not caught by the punch edge, and the paper conveyance can be continued without any problem. If the overrun amount is too large, new punching is performed by a punch blade different from the previous one, but actually the stopping accuracy does not vary that much.
A processing procedure in the fourth embodiment for performing such processing is shown in FIGS. In the processes shown in FIGS. 26 and 27, the processes of steps S107a and S107b are inserted between steps S107 and S108a in the third embodiment, and the process of step S118c is used instead of the process of step S118a. Since only the points are different, only the above-described processing will be described, and redundant description will be omitted.
That is, in this embodiment, after the brake is applied to the motor in step S107, when the home position sensor 3-4 is turned on and the punch blade does not protrude from the gap 3-11, the punched paper is conveyed. Start (step S107b) and check the time from the start of the first motor drive (step S108a). In step S118c, the punch motor is braked when K × Pdev [ms] has elapsed after the restart (step S119). However, K is a correction coefficient in this case, and is a value experimentally obtained for accumulation of correction.
As described above, the conveyance start timing of the punched paper is safe after the punching of the paper is performed by the first motor driving operation and the punch blade enters the home position. As long as it has been confirmed by experiments that the blade does not catch on the edge of the punch blade, it may be in front of it.
When the paper is punched by the first motor driving operation and the paper conveyance is started after the punch blade enters the home position, the stop position of the first motor driving operation may be before the home position. It is better to delay the brake start position so that there is no such thing.
As described above, the position of the punch blade can be detected by the number of count pulses Pn = P−Ps from the home position OFF, and the above correction can be made based on this.
Then, in the stop operation of the first motor driving operation, the timer 362 (not shown) measures a predetermined time during the motor driving, and the first time for the punching operation at the predetermined time measured by the motor driving amount detecting means. When the brake time of the reverse brake in the first motor driving operation is changed according to the motor driving amount during the motor driving operation, the stopping accuracy of the first motor driving operation is improved and the time required for re-correction is shortened. Therefore, the speed of the apparatus can be increased.
As described above, it is desirable that the optimum values of Ptg in
Each part not specifically described is configured in the same manner as the first embodiment and functions in the same manner.
Trb =Kb×Prs ・・・(4)
<Fifth embodiment>
Although there is a method in which the reverse brake time is set to a fixed time, optimum brake control can be performed by changing the reverse brake time Trb [ms] according to the motor speed at a certain time. The measurement of the motor speed can be easily confirmed by, for example, the count pulse number Prs for a certain time Trs [ms] immediately before the start of the motor reverse brake. This is because the motor driving amount per unit time becomes the motor speed. If the reverse brake is applied longer as the motor speed is higher, the drilling time can be optimally reduced regardless of the motor speed. If the reverse brake is applied for a long time when the motor speed is low, the motor may actually reverse. In the configuration described above, since the reverse rotation state of the motor cannot be detected, if the motor really reverses, subsequent recorrection cannot be performed as intended. On the other hand, if the reverse brake is short when the motor speed is high, the time until the motor stops increases, so the drilling time increases. If the motor redrive timing is set to T1 after a certain time from the start of the first motor drive operation, the recorrection accuracy is deteriorated because the motor is not stopped during the redrive. For these reasons, it is better to increase the reverse brake time Trb as the count pulse number Prs is larger. An example of the calculation formula of Trb is
Trb = Kb × Prs (4)
Kb: It can be a reverse brake time correction coefficient.
The control procedure at this time is shown in the flowcharts of FIGS.
In this control procedure, the determination in step S106 in FIG. 18 is replaced with step S106a, the motor brake process in step S107 is replaced with the process from step S107c to step S107g, and the process in step S119 is replaced with the process in step S119a. Therefore, only the differences from these steps will be described. That is, when the pulse count value reaches the value Pb to be applied in step S106a, the motor brake is applied by the short-circuit brake (step S107c), and the number of pulses for a predetermined time (fixed time) Trs [ms] immediately before the start of the motor reverse brake Is counted as the count pulse number Prs (step S107d), and the motor reverse brake is applied (step S107e). Then, after Kb × Prs [ms] has elapsed since the start of reverse braking, a short-circuit brake is applied (step S107g), and it is checked whether the motor has stopped (step S108). Thereafter, the processing after step S109 is executed, and after restarting at step S118a, when Kt × Pdev [ms] has elapsed, a short-circuit brake is applied (step S119a). Then, when the motor stops (step S120), the punch motor rotation direction flag is reversed (step S121), and the process is finished.
When it is difficult to brake the motor due to a high motor temperature or the like, there is a case where it is not possible to sufficiently decelerate with one reverse brake. In such a case, the reverse brake control may be performed a plurality of times as shown in the timing charts of FIGS.
In addition, if the reverse brake is applied for a long time when the motor speed is low, the motor may actually reverse. If the motor has stopped, it will reverse. If the motor rotates in reverse, the subsequent recorrection cannot be performed as intended, so reverse rotation braking is not performed when the motor speed may be extremely slow or stopped, that is, when Prs is smaller than a certain reference value. Better.
