Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle occupant weight detection device, and more particularly to a vehicle occupant weight detection device equipped with a seat belt device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As one of occupant detection devices for vehicles such as automobiles, for example, as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-207638, a load sensor interposed between a vehicle floor and a seat support arm is provided. 2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an occupant detection device configured to determine the presence or absence of an occupant based on the detection result of a sensor and determine whether or not an airbag can be deployed has been known.
[0003]
According to such an occupant detection device, since the weight of the occupant acts on the load sensor regardless of the occupant's posture, for example, an occupant detection device in which a load sensor is provided on a seat body supporting the occupant's thigh and buttocks. The presence or absence of an occupant can be determined more accurately than in the case.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the seat belt anchor for holding the seat belt is generally fixed to the floor of the vehicle body, in the conventional occupant detection device as described above, the load caused by the tension of the seat belt for restraining the vehicle occupant. May also act on the load sensor, so it may not be possible to accurately determine the presence or absence of the occupant and the weight of the occupant.
[0005]
For example, a child seat for ensuring the safety of an infant is generally attached to the seat using a seat belt, and the load due to the child seat's own weight and the tension of the seat belt acts on the sensor. It is erroneously determined that an occupant is seated even though no occupant is seated on the seat and child seat, or an adult is seated on the seat in a situation where an infant is seated on the child seat It may be judged.
[0006]
If such a misjudgment is made, there is a problem that an airbag is unnecessarily deployed at the time of a vehicle collision even though the occupant is not seated. For example, a plurality of airbags are provided for one occupant. In the case of a vehicle in which the deployment of each airbag is controlled in accordance with the occupant's physique, the occupant's physique estimated from the detected weight does not match the actual occupant's physique. In addition, the airbag cannot be properly deployed.
[0007]
Further, in the conventional occupant detection device as described in the above-mentioned publication, for example, the mounting load of the seat support arm on the floor varies due to, for example, a change in fastening force of a bolt that fixes the seat support arm to the floor. Then, since the load sensor is affected by the variation in the mounting load, the weight of the occupant may not be detected accurately due to this.
[0008]
The present invention relates to a conventional occupant detection device having a load sensor interposed between a vehicle floor and a seat support arm and configured to determine the presence or absence of an occupant based on a detection result of the load sensor. The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and the main object of the present invention is to accurately detect the weight of an occupant as compared with the prior art by eliminating the load caused by the tension of the seat belt. is there.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, at least one load detecting means for detecting a load acting in the vertical direction on a seat body attached to a vehicle body member, and a seat belt anchor fixed to the vehicle body member are provided. A seat belt load detecting means for detecting a load due to the tension of the acting seat belt; a direction detecting means for detecting a direction of the load due to the tension;Seat beltDetected by load detection meansThe load due to the tension of the seat belt and the direction of the load detected by the direction detecting means;Based onAndEstimating a load acting in the vertical direction between the vehicle body and the seat body due to the load due to the tension, and subtracting the estimated load from the load detected by the load detection means, EstimateWith estimation meansA vehicle occupant weight detection apparatus characterized in that (Structure of Claim 1),orIs disposed between the vehicle body member and the seat body positioned above the vehicle body member, and detects at least one load detection means for detecting a load acting in the vertical direction between the vehicle body member and the load detection means. An estimation means for estimating the weight of an occupant based on a load; and a seat belt load carrying means arranged between the vehicle body member and the seat body for carrying a load applied to the seat body by a seat belt. The seat belt load carrying means includes a vehicle body member and a link member pivotally supported by the seat body, and the link member extends obliquely forward of the vehicle with respect to the vertical direction when viewed from the lower end to the upper end. This is achieved by a vehicle occupant weight detection device (structure of claim 4).
[0010]
According to the configuration of claim 1, the load due to the tension of the seat belt acting on the seat belt anchor is detected, the direction of the load due to the tension of the seat belt is detected,Based on the detected load due to the tension of the seat belt and the direction of the detected load,The load acting in the vertical direction is estimated between the vehicle body member and the seat body due to the load due to the tension of the seat belt, and the estimated weight is subtracted from the load detected by the load detecting means to obtain the weight of the occupant. Since it is estimated, the weight of the occupant can be accurately obtained without being affected by the load due to the tension of the seat belt.
[0011]
According to the present invention, in order to effectively achieve the main problems described above, in the configuration of claim 1, the seat main body is placed between the vehicle body member and the seat main body by a load of an occupant. Relative displacement allowing means for allowing displacement relative to the vehicle body member at least in the vertical direction is provided, and the load detection means changes as the seat body is displaced relative to the vehicle body member. It is configured to detect a change in physical quantity to be detected (configuration of claim 2).
UpAccording to the configuration of
[0013]
According to the present invention, in order to effectively achieve the main problems described above,1In the above configuration, the seat body is fixed to the vehicle body member via an attachment member, and the load detection means isFrom the seat body to the body memberThe load transmission path is arranged so as to be disposed closer to the seat body than between the vehicle body member and the attachment member (configuration of claim 3).
[0014]
According to the configuration of the third aspect, the load detecting means is disposed on the side of the seat body rather than between the body member and the mounting member as seen from the load transmission path from the seat body to the body member. The influence of fluctuations in the seat body mounting load with respect to the vehicle body member is also reliably eliminated.
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, at least part of the load applied to the seat body by the seat belt is carried by the seat belt load carrying means disposed between the vehicle body member and the seat body, and the seat belt load carrying is performed. The means includes a vehicle body member and a link member pivotally supported by the seat body, and the link member extends obliquely toward the front of the vehicle with respect to the vertical direction when viewed from the lower end to the upper end. Since at least a part of the resulting load does not act on the load detection means, the influence of the load due to the tension of the seat belt is reduced, so that the weight of the occupant is accurately detected by the load detection means.
[0018]
[Preferred embodiment of the problem solving means]
The present inventionOneAccording to one preferred embodiment, the aboveClaim 2In the configuration, the relative displacement permissive means is configured to include a plurality of link members that are pivotally supported by the vehicle body member and the seat body and that are inclined with respect to the vertical direction and spaced apart from each other (preferable embodiment).1).
[0019]
According to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the preferred embodiment described above.1In the composition of,eachThe link member is configured to extend obliquely toward the rear of the vehicle with respect to the vertical direction when viewed from the lower end to the upper end (preferred embodiment).2).
[0021]
According to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the aboveClaim 4In the configuration ofWritingThe two link members are configured to be located at substantially the same position as the seat belts in a situation where they are used by passengers of a standard physique when viewed in the lateral direction of the vehicle (preferred embodiment)3).
