Description
[発明の背景]
本発明は、患者の血管等の身体の内腔にその開存性を維持するために埋め込まれるようになった一般的にステントと呼ばれる拡張可能な血管内人工補装具装置に関する。ステントは、処置の結果を改善し且つ再発狭窄症の可能性を小さくするのを補助するため、経皮経管的冠状血管形成術(PTCA)、経皮経管的血管形成術(PTA)によって狭窄症を圧縮した後、又はアテローム切除術又は他の手段によって除去した後に血管の治療及び修復を行う上で特に有用である。

ステントは一般的には円筒形形状の装置であり、血管又は冠動脈等の他の動脈内腔のセグメントを開放状態に保持し、場合によっては拡張するように機能する。ステントは、通常は、圧縮状態でターゲット箇所まで送出された後、その位置で拡張状態に展開されて脈管を支持し、この脈管を開放状態に維持するのを補助する。これらのステントは、流体通路を塞ぐ場合がある剥離した動脈内層を支持し、元の位置に戻して支持するために使用するのに特に適している。

Claims (26)
- 身体の小さな内腔に埋め込むための、収縮状態から拡張状態まで拡張可能な長さ方向で可撓性のステントにおいて、
長さ方向ステント軸線を中心として延び且つ半径方向に実質的に独立して拡張できる周囲を各々有する、長さ方向ステント軸線に沿って整合して配置された複数の隣接した円筒形要素であって、各円筒形要素が長さ方向軸線を横切る全体として蛇行波形パターンを形成し、当該蛇行波形パターンは交互に現れる複数の谷部分及び頂部分と当該谷部分及び頂部分を相互に連結する肩部領域とを含んでおり、且つ前記谷部分は交互に現れる二重湾曲部分及びU形状部分を含む、複数の隣接した円筒形要素と、
隣接した円筒形要素間を延びる、前記隣接した円筒形要素を互いに連結する複数の相互連結部材であって、或る一つの円筒形要素をそれに隣接した円筒形要素に連結するために前記U形状部分に連結され、且つ前記或る一つの円筒形要素をそれに隣接した他の円筒形要素に連結するために前記二重湾曲部分に連結されている複数の相互連結部材と、
を含み、
前記ステントの両端部を形成する円筒形要素の少なくとも一方は二重湾曲部分のみを含む、
ことを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、前記二重湾曲部分は、前記肩部領域を折畳んで各二重湾曲部分に近付けることができる減少プロファイルを有する、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、円筒形要素は、4個乃至16個の交互に現れる頂部分及び谷部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項3に記載のステントにおいて、前記相互連結部材は、前記二重湾曲部分及び前記U形状部分の各々に取り付けられている、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、前記肩部領域は、谷部分と頂部分との間に移行領域を提供し、これにより頂部分を狭幅にできる、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、前記ステントは平らな材料片から形成される、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、前記ステントは一片のチューブから形成されている、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、前記ステントは、ステンレス鋼、タングステン、タンタル、超弾性ニッケル−チタニウム合金、及び熱可塑性ポリマーからなる群から選択された生体親和性材料から形成されている、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、各円筒形要素は、交互に現れる8個の頂部分及び8個の谷部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項9に記載のステントにおいて、前記8個の谷部分は、4個の二重湾曲部分及び4個のU形状部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、各円筒形要素は、交互に現れる6個の頂部分及び6個の谷部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項11に記載のステントにおいて、前記6個の谷部分は、3個の二重湾曲部分及び3個のU形状部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項12に記載のステントにおいて、前記相互連結部材は、二重湾曲部分及びU形状部分の各々に取り付けられている、ステント。
- 請求項1に記載のステントにおいて、二重湾曲部分のみからなるパターンを持つ円筒形要素が、前記ステントの両端部に配置されている、ステント。
- 請求項4に記載のステントにおいて、二重湾曲部分のみからなるパターンを持つ円筒形要素が、前記ステントの両端部に配置されている、ステント。
- 請求項12に記載のステントにおいて、二重湾曲部分からなるパターンを持つ円筒形要素が、更に、前記ステントの両端部に配置されている、ステント。
- 身体の小さな内腔に埋め込むための、収縮状態から拡張状態まで拡張可能な長さ方向で可撓性のステントにおいて、
長さ方向ステント軸線を中心として延び且つ半径方向に実質的に独立して拡張できる周囲を各々有する、長さ方向ステント軸線に沿って整合して配置された複数の隣接した円筒形要素であって、各円筒形要素が長さ方向軸線を横切る全体として蛇行波形パターンを形成し、当該蛇行波形パターンは交互に現れる複数の谷部分及び頂部分と当該谷部分及び頂部分を相互に連結する肩部領域とを含んでおり、且つ前記谷部分は交互に現れる二重湾曲部分及びU形状部分を含む、複数の隣接した円筒形要素と、
隣接した円筒形要素間を延び、且つ当該隣接した円筒形部材を互いに連結する複数の相互連結部材であって、前記円筒形要素を隣接した円筒形要素の各々に連結する二重湾曲部分に連結された複数の相互連結部材と、
を含み、
各円筒形要素の少なくとも一つの二重湾曲部分は凹所を有し、当該凹所が、前記ステントがクリンプされたときに、隣接する円筒形要素からの頂部が当該二重湾曲部分に近接して折り畳まれることを可能としていることを特徴とするステント。 - 請求項17に記載のステントにおいて、前記円筒形要素の各々は互いに同相であり、前記相互連結部材は、前記ステントの一端から他端まで連続した列をなして整合した二重湾曲部分に取り付けられている、ステント。
- 請求項18に記載のステントにおいて、各円筒形要素は、交互に現れる6個の頂部分及び6個の谷部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項19に記載のステントにおいて、前記6個の谷部分は、3個の二重湾曲部分及び3個のU形状部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項20に記載のステントにおいて、前記相互連結部材は、二重湾曲部分の各々に取り付けられている、ステント。
- 請求項17に記載のステントにおいて、前記ステントの両端部に配置された二重湾曲部分からなるパターンを持つ円筒形要素を更に含む、ステント。
- 請求項21に記載のステントにおいて、前記ステントの両端部に配置された二重湾曲部分からなるパターンを持つ円筒形要素を更に含む、ステント。
- 請求項18に記載のステントにおいて、各円筒形要素は、交互に現れる10個の頂部分及び10個の谷部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項24に記載のステントにおいて、前記10個の谷部分は、5個の二重湾曲部分及び5個のU形状部分を含む、ステント。
- 請求項25に記載のステントにおいて、前記相互連結部材は、二重湾曲部分の各々に取り付けられている、ステント。
