【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pipe joint, and more particularly to an improvement of a one-push type joint for resin pipes.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, resin pipes have been widely used around apartment buildings as well as in detached houses, and therefore, resin pipes are frequently connected. However, there is a high demand for water leakage and hot water pipe joints that are not allowed to leak and that the connection is simple. For this reason, many proposals have been made, but the present situation is that no satisfactory joint has yet appeared.
[0003]
Here, an example of a conventional pipe joint will be described. For example, as shown in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-145264, in order to completely connect an O-ring as a countermeasure against water leakage and a resin pipe in a socket as a main body of the joint. The resin pipe is inserted into this socket and the outer surface of the resin pipe is engulfed and connected by the claw of the pipe holding ring, and the outer surface of the resin pipe is connected to the inner surface of the socket. O-rings are sandwiched between them to prevent water leakage.
[0004]
However, when the resin pipe is inserted into the socket, the pipe joint structure has a streak in the pipe axial direction on the outer surface of the resin pipe due to the claw portion of the pipe holding ring, resulting in leakage of water. There was a fear.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention is intended to improve the above-described drawbacks of the conventional joint for pipes, and even when the resin pipe is inserted into the socket, the resin pipe does not cause any damage due to the claw portion of the pipe holding ring. It is an object to provide a joint for a vehicle.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The joint for resin pipes of the present invention has the following structure in order to solve the above problems. That is, a socket that is a joint body that allows insertion of a resin pipe, and an O-ring, a washer, and a pipe holding ring are sequentially disposed in the socket, and these are joints for resin pipes that are prevented from coming off by a cap. An annular wedge-shaped spacer along the claw portion of the pipe holding ring is fitted on the opposite side of the pipe holding ring to the washer, and the tip of the wedge-shaped spacer is formed by the tip of the resin pipe inserted into the socket. As a result, the tip of the wedge-shaped spacer spreads the pipe holding ring, and when the resin pipe passes through the claw portion of the pipe holding ring, the resin pipe moves to the claw portion of the pipe holding ring. This applies to joints for resin pipes that do not come into contact. Preferably, the joint is provided with a storage portion in which a wedge-shaped spacer is housed at the tip of the cap.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Since the joint for resin pipes of the present invention has the above configuration, when the resin pipe is inserted into the socket, the tip of the wedge-shaped spacer is expanded by the tip of the resin pipe inserted into the socket. Accordingly, the tip of the wedge-shaped spacer spreads the pipe holding ring, and when the resin pipe passes through the claw of the pipe holding ring, the resin pipe passes through the claw of the pipe holding ring. Since the outer surface of the resin pipe and the claw portion of the ring are not in contact with each other, the outer surface of the resin pipe is not damaged at all, and the possibility of water leakage due to this is also eliminated.
[0008]
Normally, a
[0009]
The wedge-shaped spacer may have a structure in which the tip inside the socket is enlarged by inserting a resin pipe. Specifically, the wedge-shaped spacer is made of resin or metal having slits radially or circumferentially at the tip. The diameter of the tip of the resin pipe is increased by the insertion of the resin pipe, which pushes the pipe holding ring. For this reason, even if the resin pipe is inserted into the deep part of the socket, the outer surface of the resin pipe is not scratched by the claw portion, and the resin pipe and the O-ring without any scratch on the surface are in pressure contact with each other. Will keep. When the resin pipe is pulled back, the wedge-shaped spacer is housed in the cap housing.
[0010]
The socket that is the main body of the pipe joint of the present invention is usually made of gun metal, but may be made of resin such as polybutene or polyvinylidene fluoride in some cases.
[0011]
The wedge-shaped spacer used in the present invention may be made of resin, but is preferably made of metal such as SUS304 or SUS316 which is hard to be scratched and has corrosion resistance. The wedge-shaped spacer usually has a tip that expands in a trumpet shape, and it is preferable that a plurality of slits are provided in the expanded portion from the tip.
[0012]
Thus, in the joint for resin pipes of the present invention, when the tip of the resin pipe passes through the claw portion of the pipe holding ring, the claw portion of the pipe holding ring is expanded by the wedge-shaped spacer. The outer surface of the resin pipe is not damaged by the claw portion, and the resin pipe having an intact outer surface is fitted to the O-ring.
[0013]
In the resin pipe joint of the present invention, the O-ring is positioned on the deep side of the socket, and the pipe holding ring is disposed on the shallower side, which makes it easy to find insufficient insertion of the resin pipe. It also has the function of becoming. That is, when the resin pipe is inserted into the socket, the O-ring is fitted while the diameter of the O-ring is expanded by the tip of the resin pipe. Therefore, if the O-ring is closer to the inside of the socket than the pipe retaining ring, the resin pipe may be mistaken as having been inserted just by passing through the O-ring. Water pressure will cause the resin pipe to come out of the socket, and water leakage cannot be avoided.
[0014]
However, in the joint for resin pipes of the present invention, since the O-ring is at the deepest part of the socket, the insertion resistance with the O-ring at the tip of the resin pipe is that the resin pipe is inserted to the deepest part. This is the first time that there is an insertion resistance, and it is possible to prevent poor insertion due to misunderstanding.
[0015]

【The invention's effect】
In the joint for resin pipes of the present invention, there is no contact with the claw portion of the pipe holding ring when the resin pipe is inserted into the socket, so that the outer surface of the pipe is not damaged, and the deep portion side is O -Even if there is a ring, it does not leak, and there is also a feature that there is no shortage of pipe insertion in view of the structure, and it is possible to work without much skill at the time of construction.
