Description
【0001】

[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention of
The glass seal lip has a base end joined to the mounting base, a seal part that contacts and seals against the outer surface of the door glass, and is thinner than the base part of the seal part between the seal part and the base end part. A thin portion that bends when it comes into contact with the door glass,
The glass outer of a motor vehicle door, characterized in that a base end portion of a glass seal lip is joined on an upper wall of the mounting base, and a thin wall portion is positioned on the outer side of the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base. Weather strip.
[0011]
In the first aspect of the present invention, since the glass seal lip is bonded onto the upper wall of the mounting base, the door glass can be installed close to the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base without being obstructed by the glass seal lip. It is possible to reduce the step between the outer surface of the door frame or door panel and the outer surface of the door glass.
Since the glass seal lip is composed of a soft member such as a soft olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer, the glass seal lip can be brought into elastic contact with the door glass as the door glass moves up and down, and sealing performance can be ensured. Since the mounting base portion is made of a hard member such as polypropylene, which is a hard synthetic resin, the mounting base portion can obtain a sufficient gripping force, and the glass outer weather strip can be reliably held on the flange portion of the outer panel. Moreover, since the soft member and the hard member are formed of the same olefin-based material, the mounting base and the glass seal lip can be simultaneously extruded, and manufacturing is easy.
Since the metal insert is not embedded in the mounting base, it can be manufactured by extrusion molding of a hard member and is easy to manufacture. Further, since the metal insert is not embedded, the glass outer weather strip can be reduced in weight, and since the glass outer weather strip including the glass seal lip is made of only a polymer material, recycling is easy.
The inner surface of the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base portion having a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section is a flat surface without an internal seal lip, and the end of the vehicle inner side wall is formed with a flange that protrudes toward the interior having a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section. The flange part is locked to the tip bent below the flange part of the outer panel. For this reason, even if the metal insert is not embedded in the mounting base portion, the glass outer weather strip is securely locked to the tip of the outer panel that is bent below the flange portion, and does not come off the flange. Further, the flange and the inner surface of the vehicle inner side wall are in close contact with each other, and the glass outer weather strip is stably held by the flange.
The glass seal lip has a base end joined to the upper wall of the mounting base, a seal part that contacts and seals the outer surface of the door glass, and a thickness of the base part of the seal part between the seal part and the base end part. Since the thinner part is provided near the base end, the glass seal lip is easily bent when the glass seal lip comes into contact with the outer surface of the door glass, and the door glass moves up and down smoothly and has excellent sealing properties. ing.
Since the thin wall portion is positioned on the vehicle outer side with respect to the outer surface of the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base portion, the position where the glass seal lip is bent can be set on the vehicle outer side with respect to the outer surface of the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base portion. For this reason, when the glass seal lip is bent, most of the glass seal lip can be positioned on the vehicle outer side with respect to the outer surface of the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base, and immediately before the door glass contacts the outer surface of the vehicle inner side wall. Can be moved to the outside of the vehicle.
Since the glass seal lip is bent at the thin-walled portion, stress is not concentrated on the base end portion that is the interface between the mounting base portion and the glass seal lip, so that the glass seal lip does not peel from the mounting base portion at the base end portion.
[0012]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a glass outer weather strip attached along an upper edge of a door outer panel of an automobile door, wherein the glass outer weather strip is made of a hard synthetic resin attached to the upper edge of the door outer panel. And a glass seal lip of a soft member made of a soft thermoplastic elastomer that abuts against the outer surface of the door glass and seals between the door glass. The mounting base includes a vehicle outer side wall, an upper wall, a vehicle The glass seal lip has a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section consisting of an inner side wall, and the glass seal lip has a base end portion joined to the mounting base portion, a seal portion that comes into contact with the outer surface of the door glass and sealed, and a seal portion and a base end portion. And the base end of the glass seal lip is joined to the upper wall of the mounting base. The thin portion is to be located outside of the vehicle than the outer surface of the interior side wall of the mounting base.
[0018]
Claim2The present invention has a protruding portion that protrudes upward on the vehicle outer side of the upper wall of the mounting base,The protrusion has a step having an L-shaped outer surface and includes a step.Glass seal lip on protrusionBase end ofAre joined.
Claim2In the present invention, since the vehicle exterior side of the upper wall of the mounting base protrudes upward, the outer surface of the protrusion has a step having an L-shaped cross section in the vicinity of the approximate center of the upper wall. Since the base end portion of the glass seal lip is joined to include a step portion having an L-shaped cross section on the outer surface of the protruding portion of the upper wall, the joining area is large, and the attachment base and the glass seal lip are firmly attached. .
Furthermore, when the glass seal lip bends, a force acts in the direction of peeling off the joint portion of the base end,The protruding part has an outer surfaceSince there is a stepped portion having an L-shaped cross section, it is difficult to peel off.
[0019]
Claim3In the present invention, the protrusion of the upper wall of the mounting base has a recess on the inner surface, and the recess is continuous with the internal space of the mounting base having a substantially inverted U-shaped cross section.
Claim3In the present invention, since the protruding portion on the vehicle outer side of the upper wall has a concave portion on the inner surface, the thickness of the protruding portion is the same as the thickness of the other portion of the mounting base, and is due to molding shrinkage after extrusion molding. There is no sink on the surface, and there is no thick part, so it is easy to cut the mounting base to a predetermined size.
[0020]
Claim4According to the present invention, a protrusion protruding in the in-vehicle direction is provided on a part of the outer surface of the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base.
Claim4In the present invention, since the protruding portion is provided on the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base, even if the door glass is close to the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base due to vibration of the automobile, the door glass is in contact with the protruding portion and partially. Since it only contacts and does not contact the vehicle inner side wall completely, the frictional resistance with the vehicle inner side wall of the mounting base can be reduced when the door glass is raised and lowered, and the door glass can be raised and lowered smoothly.
[0021]
Claim5In the present invention, the upper wall of the mounting base is inclined so that the vehicle interior is lowered.
Claim5In the present invention, the upper wall of the mounting base portion is inclined so that the outside of the vehicle becomes higher, and the glass seal lip is joined to the upper wall portion, so that the joining area between the upper wall and the base end portion of the glass seal lip increases. In addition, the attachment base and the glass seal lip are firmly attached.
