Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle body structure having an improved roof rail structure that forms a skeleton of a vehicle interior space.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In the body of an automobile (vehicle), the vehicle interior space is surrounded by a skeleton to increase the rigidity of the vehicle interior space.
[0003]
Conventionally, a front roof rail inner member with a hat-shaped cross section extending in the vehicle width direction is connected between a pair of roof side rail members extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction arranged on both sides in the vehicle width direction on the front side roof rail that forms such a skeleton. A structure is used. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7, a front roof rail inner member c having an elongated cross-sectional hat shape in which an opening a is disposed on the upper side and a bottom wall b opposite to the opening is disposed on the lower side is used. The both ends of c are attached to left and right roof side rail members (not shown).
[0004]
The front roof rail inner member c is provided with a dedicated mounting seat f at a predetermined position in the vehicle width direction in order to support a front part of a fitting component, for example, the headlining e.
[0005]
Usually, in order to ensure high mounting accuracy, the mounting seat f has a process and a hole that is recessed toward the opening side in the bottom wall portion surrounded by the front and rear ridge lines g of the front roof rail inner member c as shown in FIG. Processing is performed to form an independent high-accuracy seat on the same part. By forming the mounting seat f, as shown in FIG. 7, the end of the head lining e is overlapped with the lower surface of the bottom wall b of the front roof rail inner member c, and the clip d is passed through the head lining e through the hole k of the seating surface. By inserting the head, the end of the head lining e is clipped to the mounting seat f.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Automobiles are attracting attention for safety against side collisions.
[0007]
By the way, each ridge line g extending in the vehicle width direction of the front roof rail inner member c plays an important role in securing the rigidity of the front roof rail inner member c itself.
[0008]
However, if the mounting seat f is formed on the flat bottom wall b adjacent to the ridge line g, the ridge line g is blocked from the middle by the mounting seat f as shown in FIG.
[0009]
The front roof rail inner member c having such a broken ridge line g has a property that the rigidity caused by the ridge line g is interrupted in the middle, so that it is easy to be broken with the broken ridge line portion as a base point, and the ability to suppress deformation in the vehicle width direction is low. Become.
[0010]
Thus, although measures are taken to increase the thickness dimension of the front roof rail inner member c, it is still difficult to ensure sufficient rigidity in the compression direction that contributes to safety against side collision.
[0011]
The same applies to the rear roof rail (not shown).
[0012]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle body structure capable of giving rigidity that contributes to safety of side collision to a roof rail member with a simple structure. It is in.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the first aspect of the present invention, a bead is formed in the bottom wall of the roof rail member so as to be recessed toward the opening side of the roof rail member and extending in the vehicle width direction. A mounting seat was formed. Moreover, the mounting seat for outfitting parts was configured to be recessed toward the opening side in the bottom wall portion. The bead is formed over substantially the entire length of the roof rail member, and the outfitting part mounting seat is formed on the bottom wall portion avoiding the bead.
[0014]
Thereby, the ridgeline formed by the bead is formed over the entire length on the roof rail member. Moreover, since the mounting seat is formed on the bottom wall portion of the roof rail member avoiding this bead, the ridge line formed by the bead is formed in a straight line without being interrupted by the mounting seat.
[0015]
Therefore, the property of being easily broken is improved, and the roof rail member is secured with rigidity in the compression direction that contributes to the safety of side collision.
[0016]
In order to secure a higher rigidity in the compression direction, the roof rail member is assembled with a second roof rail member having a hat-shaped cross section to form a closed cross section, and the bottom wall of the second roof rail member is also arranged along the vehicle width direction. An extending bead was formed to increase the rigidity in the compression direction.
[0017]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a structure in which a synthetic resin roof panel is bonded to the bottom wall of the second roof rail member so that high rigidity can be obtained with a structure in which a synthetic resin roof panel is combined. did.
[0018]
