Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to, for example, a power transmission device for a vehicle, and more particularly to an impact absorbing structure for a propeller shaft used for a three joint type.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As this type of conventional power transmission device, for example, a device described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 2-117222 applied to a propeller shaft of a vehicle is known.
[0003]
That is, this power transmission device is applied to a two-split and three-joint type propeller shaft of a four-wheel drive vehicle (4WD) or a rear-wheel drive vehicle (FR), and is connected to a first shaft connected to the transmission. A stub shaft is connected via a center bearing, and a tubular shaft body is connected to the stub shaft via a constant velocity joint.
[0004]
One end of the tubular shaft body constitutes the outer race of the constant velocity joint, and a tapered portion is formed in part, and the inner race, cage, and ball of the constant velocity joint are formed into the tubular shaft body. Is set smaller than the inner diameter. As a result, in the event of a vehicle collision, the inner race of the constant velocity joint or the like enters the inside of the tubular shaft body following the backward movement of the engine or transmission to absorb the impact.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the long propeller shaft used for the above-mentioned three joint types, a stable support is secured by using the center bearing as described above in order to support the middle of the propeller shaft on the vehicle body. . And, for the sound vibration to the vehicle due to the whirling and the like accompanying the rotational drive of the propeller shaft, it can be sufficiently reduced by shortening the distance between the center bearing and the constant velocity joint, as described above, In order to obtain a sufficient buffering effect against a vehicle collision or the like, it is desirable to increase the distance between the center bearing and the constant velocity joint to ensure a sufficient stroke amount of the constant velocity joint.
[0006]
However, the conventional propeller shaft has a relatively short distance between the center bearing and the constant velocity joint with emphasis on sound vibration to the vehicle, so a sufficient stroke amount of the constant velocity joint can be obtained in the event of a vehicle collision. Technical problems such as being unable to absorb the impact sufficiently.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention has been devised in view of the technical problem of the conventional joint member. The invention according to claim 1 is directed to a drive shaft for transmitting a rotational drive force, and a slide bearing is provided on the drive shaft. And a center driven shaft that rotatably supports the drive shaft on a vehicle body, the power transmission device comprising: a center driven shaft coupled to the drive shaft and slidable in an axial direction with respect to the drive shaft; bearing inner ring is fixed to the drive shaft, the outer ring is then linked to the vehicle body side, forming the outer diameter of the end portion of the outer diameter and the driven shaft of the outer ring before Symbol Center bearing approximately the same, the position in the radial direction of the one end portion of the outer ring and the driven shaft of the center bearing set substantially the same, and, when an excessive input load in the axial direction acts on the drive shaft, wherein It is characterized by being configured so as to move relative to collide in the axial direction of the outer ring of the center bearing one end portion of the driven shaft relative to the inner ring to the outer ring of the centers bearing.
[0008]
Therefore, according to the present invention, when the collision input load is applied to the drive shaft and the drive shaft moves into the driven shaft at the time of the collision of the vehicle or the like, the cylindrical one end of the driven shaft is connected to the outer ring of the center bearing. Abutting on the outer end edge from the axial direction, an input load in the axial direction greater than a predetermined value acts on the outer ring. Then, the outer ring slides in the direction opposite to the input load direction from the center bearing and moves in the direction of the drive shaft while leaving the inner ring. For this reason, it is possible to increase the relative reverse stroke amount between the drive shaft and the driven shaft, that is, the relative stroke movement amount between the center bearing and the slide bearing. For this reason, the impact can be sufficiently absorbed by this large stroke movement amount.
[0009]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, a holding groove for rolling and holding the ball is formed on the opposing surfaces of the inner ring and the outer ring, respectively, and the outer groove on the slide bearing side extends from the holding groove of the outer ring. The opposing surface located between them is formed in a stepped groove shape.
[0010]
The invention according to claim 3 is characterized in that the facing surface between the holding groove of the inner ring and the outer end edge opposite to the slide bearing is formed in a step groove shape.

The present invention is not limited to the configuration of each of the embodiments described above, and can be applied to other than the propeller shaft. Further, as the separating means, not only the step groove surface but also a sliding material or the like may be applied to a position corresponding to the step groove surface.
[0040]
【The invention's effect】
As apparent from the above description, according to the invention described in claim 1, the sound vibration performance of the vehicle can be improved by sufficiently reducing the distance between the center bearing and the slide bearing, and at the time of the collision of the vehicle. When an axial load is applied to the drive shaft, the end of the driven shaft hits the outer ring from the axial direction, and the outer ring slides away from the inner ring while moving away from the inner ring. Move in the direction. For this reason, it is possible to increase the relative reverse stroke amount between the drive shaft and the driven shaft, that is, the relative stroke movement amount between the center bearing and the slide bearing. Therefore, the impact can be sufficiently absorbed by this large stroke movement amount, and the occupant's impact can be reduced.
[0041]
According to the second and third aspects of the present invention, by providing the stepped groove surface, the detachability of the outer ring and the ball with respect to the inner ring becomes good, so that the stroke amount can be easily increased.
[0042]
According to the fourth aspect of the invention, in addition to the effects of the first to third aspects of the invention, since the chamfered portion is simply formed in the holding groove, the molding operation is facilitated.
