Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a braking notification lamp lighting device that notifies a subsequent vehicle of a braking situation of a host vehicle in order to prevent a rear-end collision of an automobile.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a lighting device for this type of brake warning light, there are conventionally known so-called brake lamps that are turned on when the brake pedal is depressed and so-called flasher lamps that are turned on when an indoor switch is manually operated in an emergency. It is not possible to automatically notify the braking state of the vehicle. For this reason, a lighting device has been proposed in which the inertial force of the vehicle is used to detect the braking situation of the host vehicle and the prediction start time is shortened by automatically turning on the brake notification lamp (for example, actual utility model 6). -74,497)).
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the inertial force of the vehicle is a product of the vehicle weight and the acceleration, and is a force obtained by subtracting the running resistance from the driving force, and therefore varies depending on the running resistance such as a road gradient.
For this reason, in the above-described conventional automatic lighting device, the braking notification lamp is lit even when the traveling path changes to an uphill and the vehicle temporarily decelerates. At the time of transition to such an uphill, it is common to step on the accelerator, and the action of inertial force is only instantaneous, so if the brake warning light lights up in such a situation, the following vehicle will The brakes are applied unnecessarily, causing traffic congestion.
[0004]
In addition, when the vehicle is traveling at a constant speed with a slight brake on a downhill, the inertia force does not act, so the brake notification lamp does not light up, and the following vehicle may approach the host vehicle.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the prior art, and provides a lighting device for a brake notification lamp that can appropriately notify the braking state of the vehicle by directly using the driving force of the vehicle. For the purpose.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
[0011]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a braking notification lamp lighting device comprising: a throttle opening degree detecting means for detecting a throttle opening degree; an engine speed detecting means for detecting an engine speed; and a throttle detected by the throttle opening degree detecting means. Engine shaft torque calculating means for calculating an engine shaft torque based on the opening degree and the engine speed detected by the engine speed detecting means, and a reduction ratio detection for detecting a reduction ratio from the engine output shaft to the tire Means, a tire driving force calculating means for calculating a tire driving force based on the engine shaft torque calculated by the engine shaft torque calculating means and the reduction ratio detected by the reduction ratio detecting means, and the tire driving force calculation lights the brake notification light when the driving force of the tire which is calculated by means smaller than (excluding. those positive) predetermined value Characterized by comprising a lighting control means for outputting a signal.
[0012]
In the lighting device for the brake notification lamp according to claim 1 , the engine shaft torque calculation means, based on the throttle opening detected by the throttle opening detection means and the engine speed detected by the engine speed detection means, Calculate the shaft torque of the engine. Then, the tire driving force calculating means calculates the tire driving force based on the engine shaft torque calculated by the engine shaft torque calculating means and the reduction ratio detected by the reduction ratio detecting means. The driving force of the tire is a value determined if the engine shaft torque, the reduction ratio from the engine output shaft to the tire, and the tire radius are obtained. In the braking notification lamp lighting device according to the third aspect, since the braking notification lamp is lit based on the driving force of the tire, the braking notification lamp is lit when the braking force is generated by shifting down the transmission. become. Therefore, even in situations where it is impossible to determine control notification by inertia force, such as when going uphill or when traveling downhill, it is possible to appropriately notify the following vehicle of the braking status of the host vehicle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
1st Embodiment FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a first embodiment of a lighting device for a brake warning light according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a graph showing the relationship between throttle opening, engine speed and engine shaft torque. is there.
[0022]
The lighting device of the brake notification lamp according to the present embodiment includes a throttle opening degree detecting means 11 for detecting an opening degree of a throttle valve that is opened and closed by an accelerator pedal, an engine speed detecting means 12 for detecting an engine speed, and a throttle opening degree. Engine shaft torque calculating means 13 for calculating the engine shaft torque based on the throttle opening detected by the detecting means 11 and the engine speed detected by the engine speed detecting means 12, and calculation by the engine shaft torque calculating
[0023]
The throttle opening degree detection means 11 comprises, for example, a potentiometer, detects the opening degree of the throttle valve, and sends the signal to the engine shaft torque calculation means 13. The engine speed detection means 12 receives a signal from, for example, a tachometer and sends the engine speed to the engine shaft torque calculation means 13.
[0024]
The engine shaft torque calculating means 13 is composed of, for example, a microcomputer, and calculates the engine shaft torque from the input values of the throttle opening and the engine speed. The relationship of the engine shaft torque with respect to the throttle opening and the engine speed is uniquely determined by the engine, and is represented by, for example, a table shown in FIG. Therefore, the table shown in FIG. 2 is stored in the engine shaft torque calculation means 13, and the throttle opening detected by the throttle opening detection means 11 and the engine speed detected by the engine speed detection means 12 are stored. Based on the input value, the shaft torque of the engine is calculated by referring to the table.
[0025]
The lighting control means 20 is composed of, for example, a microcomputer, compares the engine shaft torque value sent from the engine shaft torque calculation means 13 with a threshold value (predetermined value) inputted in advance, and calculates the actual engine. When the shaft torque is smaller than the predetermined value, a lighting signal is sent to the

Next, the operation will be described.
FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing the control contents of the first embodiment. First, the throttle opening degree detecting means 11 detects the opening degree of the throttle valve and sends it to the engine shaft torque calculating means 13 (step 10). The engine speed is detected by the
[0028]
The lighting control means 20 determines whether or not the input shaft torque of the engine is larger than a predetermined value (for example, −2 kg · m) (step 13). If it is smaller, a lighting command signal is sent to the brake notification lamp 30 (step 14).
[0029]
As described above, according to the lighting device for the brake notification lamp of the present embodiment, when the braking force due to the engine shaft torque is generated in the vehicle by returning the accelerator (closing the throttle), the brake notification lamp is automatically turned on. It will be. That is, in this embodiment, since the reference element of lighting is not the inertia force but the engine shaft torque itself, the braking notification lamp is not lit in the transition to the uphill, and conversely during the constant running on the downhill, etc. It lights up and can appropriately notify the following vehicle of the braking situation of the host vehicle.
[0030]
Second Embodiment FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing a second embodiment of the brake notification lamp lighting device of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a diagram showing the relationship between the shift position of the transmission and the reduction ratio.
[0031]
The lighting device of the brake notification lamp according to the present embodiment includes a throttle opening degree detecting means 11 for detecting an opening degree of a throttle valve that is opened and closed by an accelerator pedal, an engine
[0032]
The throttle opening degree detection means 11 comprises, for example, a potentiometer, detects the opening degree of the throttle valve, and sends the signal to the engine shaft torque calculation means 13. The engine speed detection means 12 receives a signal from, for example, a tachometer and sends the engine speed to the engine shaft torque calculation means 13.
[0033]
[0034]
The reduction ratio detection means 14 is composed of, for example, a switch for detecting the gear position of the transmission and a microcomputer for calculating the reduction ratio with respect to the gear position, and a table shown in FIG. 5 is stored in the microcomputer. As shown in the figure, the reduction ratio of the transmission is uniquely determined by the transmission, and the reduction ratio from the engine output shaft to the tire is a value obtained by multiplying the reduction ratio according to the gear position by the final gear ratio. It becomes. The reduction ratio detection means 14 performs this calculation and sends the reduction ratio from the engine output shaft to the tire to the tire driving force detection means 15.
[0035]
The tire driving force detection means 15 is composed of, for example, a microcomputer, and is based on the engine shaft torque calculated by the engine shaft torque calculation means 13, the reduction ratio detected by the reduction ratio detection means 14, and the known tire radius. The tire driving force is calculated. That is, since tire driving force = (engine shaft torque × reduction ratio from engine output shaft to tire × 9.8) ÷ tire radius, tire driving force detection means 15 performs this calculation. The tire driving force is sent to the lighting control means 20.
[0036]
The lighting control means 20 is composed of, for example, a microcomputer, compares the tire driving force value sent from the tire driving force detection means 15 with a threshold value (predetermined value) inputted in advance, and calculates the actual tire. When the driving force is smaller than the predetermined value, a lighting signal is sent to the
[0037]
Next, the operation will be described.
FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing the control contents of the second embodiment. First, the throttle opening degree detecting means 11 detects the throttle valve opening degree and sends it to the engine shaft torque calculating means 13 (step 20). The engine speed is detected by the
[0038]
Further, a reduction ratio from the output shaft of the engine to the tire is obtained by the reduction ratio detection means 14, and this is sent to the tire driving force detection means 15 (step 23). In the tire driving force detection means 15, the tire shaft is calculated based on the engine shaft torque calculated by the engine shaft torque calculation means 13, the reduction ratio detected by the reduction ratio detection means 14, and the known tire radius. The driving force is calculated. This value is sent to the lighting control means 20 (step 24).
[0039]
The lighting control means 20 determines whether or not the input tire driving force is greater than a predetermined value (for example, −500 N) (step 25). However, if it is smaller, a lighting command signal is sent to the brake notification lamp 30 (step 26).
[0040]
As described above, according to the lighting device for the brake notification lamp of the present embodiment, when the braking force is generated in the vehicle by shifting down the transmission, the brake notification lamp is automatically turned on. That is, in this embodiment, since the reference element of lighting is not the inertia force but the tire driving force itself, the braking notification lamp is not turned on in the transition to the uphill, and conversely at the time of constant running on the downhill, etc. It lights up and can appropriately notify the following vehicle of the braking situation of the host vehicle.
[0041]
Third Embodiment FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing a third embodiment of the braking notification lamp lighting device according to the present invention, and the same reference numerals are given to the portions common to the second embodiment described above. A part of the description is omitted.
[0042]
The lighting device for the brake notification lamp of the present embodiment further includes vehicle speed detection means 40 for detecting the traveling speed of the vehicle. The vehicle speed detection means 40 is composed of, for example, a wheel speed sensor.
[0043]
Further, the lighting control means 20 increases the stored predetermined value (threshold value) of the tire driving force as the traveling speed detected by the vehicle
[0044]
Next, the operation will be described.
FIG. 8 is a flowchart showing the control contents of the third embodiment. First, the throttle opening degree detecting means 11 detects the opening degree of the throttle valve and sends it to the engine shaft torque calculating means 13 (step 30). The engine speed is detected by the
[0045]
Further, the reduction ratio detection means 14 obtains the reduction ratio from the engine output shaft to the tire, and sends this to the tire driving force detection means 15 (step 33). In the tire driving force detection means 15, the tire shaft is calculated based on the engine shaft torque calculated by the engine shaft torque calculation means 13, the reduction ratio detected by the reduction ratio detection means 14, and the known tire radius. The driving force is calculated. This value is sent to the lighting control means 20 (step 34).
[0046]
On the other hand, the vehicle speed detection means 40 detects the vehicle speed of the host vehicle and sends it to the lighting control means 20 (step 35). In the lighting control means 20, after changing the predetermined value of the tire driving force according to the vehicle speed from the vehicle speed detecting means 40 (step 36), the tire driving force input from the tire driving
[0047]
Thus, according to the lighting device for the brake notification lamp of the present embodiment, the predetermined value is changed according to the vehicle speed. Therefore, when the host vehicle is traveling at a high speed, the brake notification lamp is turned on earlier. As a result, it is possible to call attention to the following vehicle earlier.
[0048]
Fourth Embodiment FIG. 9 is a block diagram showing a fourth embodiment of the braking notification lamp lighting device according to the present invention, and the same reference numerals are given to the portions common to the second embodiment described above. A part of the description is omitted.
[0049]
The lighting device for the brake notification lamp according to the present embodiment further includes a change rate detecting means 50 for detecting a change rate of the driving force of the tire, and is constituted by a microcomputer, for example. The change rate detection means 50 calculates the difference between the tire driving force values sent from the tire driving force detection means 15 to obtain a change rate, and sends it to the lighting control means 20. The
[0050]
Next, the operation will be described.
FIG. 10 is a flowchart showing the control contents of the fourth embodiment. First, the throttle opening degree detecting means 11 detects the opening degree of the throttle valve and sends it to the engine shaft torque calculating means 13 (step 40). The engine speed is detected by the
[0051]
Further, the reduction ratio detection means 14 obtains the reduction ratio from the engine output shaft to the tire, and sends this to the tire driving force detection means 15 (step 43). In the tire driving force detection means 15, the tire shaft is calculated based on the engine shaft torque calculated by the engine shaft torque calculation means 13, the reduction ratio detected by the reduction ratio detection means 14, and the known tire radius. The driving force is calculated. This value is sent to the change rate detecting means 50 (step 44).
[0052]
In the change rate detection means 50, the tire drive force value sent from the tire drive force detection means 15 is difference-calculated to obtain the change rate, and this is sent to the lighting control means 20 (step 45). Then, the lighting control means 20 determines whether or not the change rate of the tire driving force sent from the change rate detection means 50 is larger than a predetermined value inputted in advance (step 46). The process ends, but if it is smaller, a lighting command signal is sent to the brake notification lamp 30 (step 47).
[0053]
In this way, in the braking notification lamp lighting device of the present embodiment, since the
