Description
【0001】
この発明は、APON(ATM-PON, ATM based Passive Optical Network)システムにおいて、ユーザからのアプリケーションフローのQoS(Quality Of Service)及びCoS(Class Of Service)を実現する光加入者線終端装置及びユーザトラヒック収容方法に関するものである。
【0002】
図14において、OLT(Optical Line Terminal=光加入者線端局装置)1002からONT(Optical Network Terminal=光加入者線終端装置)1011〜10n1へ流れるトラヒック(下りトラヒック)は光スプリッタ1003にて各ONT1011〜10n1へ同報通知され、各ONT1011〜10n1は自ONT宛トラヒックをONT内部に取り込む。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an optical subscriber line terminating apparatus and user traffic for realizing QoS (Quality Of Service) and CoS (Class Of Service) of an application flow from a user in an APON (ATM-PON, ATM based Passive Optical Network) system. It relates to the accommodation method.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the APON system, an optical fiber and an optical splitter allow a single station-side interface to accommodate a plurality of subscribers, thereby realizing a high-speed and economical subscriber system. As a necessary technique in APON, there is a media access control called DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Assignment), and DBA is a control method that dynamically allocates resources (bandwidth) between users according to the traffic state of the users. .
[0003]
FIG. 14 is an explanatory diagram showing a configuration example of the APON system. In FIG. 14, the traffic (downstream traffic) flowing from the OLT (Optical Line Terminal = Optical Subscriber Line Terminal Equipment) 1002 to the ONT (Optical Network Terminal = Optical Subscriber Line Termination Equipment) 1011 to 10n1 is received by the optical splitter 1003. Broadcast notification is sent to the

For example, when a bandwidth allocation unit (T-CONT = Traffic CONTainer) is allocated for each ONT, the allocation bandwidth for the corresponding ONT is changed by changing the grant occurrence frequency according to the congestion state of the upstream traffic in the
[0005]
The document “ITU-T Draft Recommendation G.983.4” describes the APON system when multiple T-CONTs are applied, and the types of T-CONT are classified according to the characteristics of the traffic. Separately, conditions to be satisfied in fixed or dynamic bandwidth allocation are defined. QoS and CoS are guaranteed by performing bandwidth allocation so that the OLT satisfies this condition.
[0006]
The T-CONT types specified below and their characteristics are shown below.
Type 1: Constant fixed bandwidth allocation and equidistant grant allocation regardless of traffic flow
Type 2: Fixed bandwidth allocation during communication regardless of traffic flow
Type 3: Promises dynamic bandwidth allocation from the minimum guaranteed bandwidth to the maximum allocated bandwidth, and allocation of surplus bandwidth based on the minimum guaranteed bandwidth, depending on the traffic flow
Type 4: Dynamic traffic flow up to the maximum allocated bandwidth and no promise of surplus bandwidth allocation based on traffic flow
Type 5: Includes all the features from

As shown in FIG. 15, in a conventional APON system optical subscriber line terminating device, a single T-CONT DBA using only the
[0008]
