BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is arranged between a pump impeller connected to an input shaft, a turbine impeller connected to the pump impeller and connected to a turbine shaft, and an inner peripheral portion of the pump impeller and the turbine impeller. The stator impeller defines a hydraulic oil circulation circuit, and is rotatably supported by the stator impeller via first and second inner peripheral radial bearings arranged in the axial direction on the input shaft. An inner end of the stator shaft is connected, the turbine shaft is rotatably supported on the stator shaft via an outer peripheral radial bearing, and a free wheel is interposed between the outer end of the stator shaft and a fixed structure. The present invention relates to an improvement in the torque converter in which an input hole through which hydraulic oil flows into the circulation circuit and an outlet hole through which hydraulic oil flows out from the circulation circuit are provided in the input shaft.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Such a torque converter is already known as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-241530.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In such a conventional torque converter, the inner end of the outer radial bearing is connected to the circulation circuit, and the outer radial bearing is lubricated with the working oil flowing out of the circulation circuit. Since oil is more likely to leak from the outer end of the stator shaft, if the capacity of the oil pump that supplies hydraulic oil to the circulation circuit is not increased by that amount, there will be a shortage of hydraulic oil in the circulation circuit. It will be difficult to achieve the desired transmission performance.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and has specially increased the capacity of an oil pump that supplies hydraulic oil to the circulation circuit so as to prevent leakage of oil from the outer peripheral radial bearing to the outside. At least, it is an object of the present invention to provide the torque converter that does not cause shortage of working oil in the circulation circuit and can exhibit the desired transmission performance.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a pump impeller connected to an input shaft, a turbine impeller connected to the pump impeller and connected to a turbine shaft, and the pump impeller and turbine impeller. And a stator impeller disposed between the inner peripheral portions of the first and second inner peripheral radial bearings arranged in the axial direction on the input shaft. An inner end of a stator shaft that is rotatably supported via a shaft, and the turbine shaft is rotatably supported on the stator shaft via an outer peripheral radial bearing. In the torque converter having a free wheel interposed between the input shaft and an inlet hole through which the working oil flows into the circulation circuit and an outlet hole through which the working oil flows out from the circulation circuit, While communicating inner end of Kigaishu side radial bearing to the circulation circuit, the better the axial direction outside the outer peripheral side radial bearing, the sealing means provided between the opposing peripheral surface of the turbine shaft and the stator shaft, said sealing means, An annular seal groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the stator shaft, and a seal ring that is attached to the seal groove and elastically intimately contacts the inner peripheral surface of the turbine shaft. And an elastic ring body with a radial tension having a diameter larger than the inner peripheral surface of the turbine shaft in a free state, and an end face facing the joint is formed with respect to the axis or radius line of the elastic ring body The first feature is that it is inclined .
[0006]
The input shaft corresponds to the
[0007]
According to the first feature, the outer peripheral radial bearing can be lubricated by the working oil of the circulation circuit, and leakage of the oil from the radial bearing to the outside can be prevented by the sealing means. Even if the capacity of the oil pump that supplies the working oil to the circuit is not increased, the torque converter can exhibit the desired transmission performance without causing a shortage of working oil in the circulation circuit. In addition, the sealing means includes an annular seal groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the stator shaft, and a seal ring that has one joint and is elastically in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the turbine shaft. Therefore, the seal ring increases the contact force with respect to the inner peripheral surface of the turbine shaft in an attempt to expand the diameter by centrifugal force generated by rotating together with the turbine shaft. In addition, the hydraulic pressure in the torque converter presses the inner surface of the seal ring, causing the ring to come into close contact with the outer inner surface of the seal groove, effectively preventing the leaking of the rising internal hydraulic pressure during high-speed rotation of the torque converter. be able to. Since the
[0008]
According to the present invention, in addition to the first feature, the inlet hole communicates with the circulation circuit via the first inner circumferential radial bearing on the inner end side of the stator shaft, while the first and second inner holes An annular oil reservoir and a pair of annular throttle portions arranged so as to sandwich the annular oil reservoir in the axial direction are provided between the circumferential surfaces of the peripheral side radial bearings and between the opposed peripheral surfaces of the input shaft and the stator shaft. A second feature is that the reservoir communicates with the outer peripheral radial bearing through a lateral hole formed in the stator shaft.
[0009]
According to the second feature, the first inner circumferential radial bearing can be lubricated while the working oil travels from the inlet hole of the input shaft to the circulation circuit, and a part of the working oil is transferred to the first inner oil. It can be appropriately supplied through one annular restrictor adjacent to the circumferential radial bearing, and the working oil that has left the circulation circuit and lubricated the outer radial bearing passes through the other annular restrictor from the annular oil reservoir. 【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first feature of the present invention, the pump impeller connected to the input shaft, the turbine impeller connected to the pump impeller and connected to the turbine shaft, the pump impeller, The stator impeller disposed between the inner peripheral portions of the turbine impeller defines a working oil circulation circuit. The stator impeller includes first and second inner peripheral sides arranged in the axial direction on the input shaft. An inner end of a stator shaft that is rotatably supported via a radial bearing is connected, and the turbine shaft is rotatably supported on the stator shaft via an outer peripheral radial bearing, and is fixed to the outer end of the stator shaft. In the torque converter, a free wheel is interposed between the input shaft and an inlet hole through which the working oil flows into the circulation circuit and an outlet hole through which the working oil flows out from the circulation circuit. While communicating an inner end of the outer peripheral side radial bearing to the circulation circuit, the better the axial direction outside the outer peripheral side radial bearing, the sealing means provided between the opposing peripheral surface of the turbine shaft and the stator shaft, the sealing means , An annular seal groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the stator shaft, and a seal ring mounted in the seal groove and elastically intimately contacted with the inner peripheral surface of the turbine shaft. In the free state, the elastic ring body is provided with a radial tension having a diameter larger than the inner peripheral surface of the turbine shaft, and the end face facing the joint is formed with respect to the axis or radius line of the elastic ring body. since tilted Te, the sea together with the leakage from the radial bearing of the oil to the outside can be lubricated outer peripheral side radial bearing by the working oil in the circulation circuit Therefore, even if the capacity of the oil pump that supplies the working oil to the circulation circuit is not increased, the torque converter does not have a shortage of working oil, and the torque converter exhibits the desired transmission performance. be able to. In addition, the hydraulic pressure in the torque converter presses the inner surface of the seal ring, causing the ring to come into close contact with the outer inner surface of the seal groove, effectively preventing the leaking of the rising internal hydraulic pressure during high-speed rotation of the torque converter. be able to. Since the
[0091]
According to the second feature of the present invention, in addition to the first feature, the inlet hole communicates with the circulation circuit via the first inner radial bearing on the inner end side of the stator shaft, A pair of annular constrictions disposed between the first and second inner radial bearings between the opposed peripheral surfaces of the input shaft and the stator shaft so as to sandwich the annular oil reservoir in the axial direction. And the annular oil reservoir is communicated with the outer radial bearing through a lateral hole formed in the stator shaft, so that the working oil passes from the inlet hole of the input shaft to the circulation circuit on the first inner periphery. The side radial bearing can be lubricated, and a part of the working oil can be appropriately supplied through one annular restrictor adjacent to the first inner circumferential radial bearing, and the circulation circuit can be provided. The outer peripheral side The lubricated working oil Zia bearings, moderately supplied to become not freewheel from reservoir annular oil only the second inner peripheral side radial bearing through the other annular throttle portion, it can be lubricated.
