Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an apparatus for reflow soldering a workpiece to be soldered such as a printed wiring board.
[0002]
A reflow soldering apparatus is used when an electronic component is soldered on a printed wiring board. The reflow soldering apparatus is an apparatus that heats a soldered portion to which solder has been supplied in advance to melt the solder and solders the circuit pattern formed on the printed wiring board and the electronic component.
[0003]
[Prior art]
As a method of heating in the reflow soldering apparatus, there are methods such as heat ray heating using infrared rays, hot air heating, steam heating, heat transfer heating, and heating using these in combination. Among these methods, the hot air heating has an advantage that the upper limit of the heating temperature can be regulated by the temperature of the hot air, so that the heating temperature of the soldered portion and the printed wiring board can be easily controlled to the target temperature. That is, the controllability of the heating profile is excellent. Also, the heating cost is relatively low.
[0004]
The electronic components mounted on the printed wiring board have different shapes, sizes, materials, and the like depending on the types, and the size of the soldered portion and the amount of solder to be supplied in advance also differ. That is, the printed wiring board is provided with a large number of parts to be soldered having different heat capacities.
[0005]
However, the reflow soldering apparatus needs to heat a large number of parts to be soldered having different heat capacities to a uniform temperature and perform soldering with the same heating temperature profile. That is, it is necessary to obtain good and uniform soldering quality that does not cause poor wetting. In particular, lead-free solder has a higher melting point than tin-lead solder that has been used in the past, and it is necessary to heat it to a more uniform and accurate temperature than before in order to heat it so that it does not exceed the heat resistance temperature of electronic components. There is.
[0006]
The hot air heating method that makes it easy to evenly arrange the heating temperature at a low cost prevents the temperature of the printed wiring board and its soldered part from rising above the hot air temperature, preventing overheating above the heat resistance temperature of the electronic components. You can also Further, the amount of heat input to the heated part, that is, the soldered part, is proportional to the wind speed of the hot air.
[0007]
For this reason, hot air blowing methods have been developed so that the speed of the hot air on the surface of the printed wiring board and the soldered portion thereof is higher than that of the conventional and uniform. For example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2-303674 discloses a printed wiring board in which hot air is blown out from a large number of hot air blowing nozzles that are provided on both the upper surface side and the lower surface side of the printed wiring board based on the same arrangement rule. A configuration is disclosed in which hot air after blowing is exhausted from the periphery of the nozzle by blowing on a plate.
[0008]
In the hot air heating method, since the oxidation of the part to be soldered and the solder is promoted, an inert gas such as nitrogen gas is supplied into the furnace to form an inert gas atmosphere with a low oxygen concentration. It may be necessary to perform soldering in an atmosphere.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such a reflow soldering apparatus, hot air is blown only in the vicinity of the nozzle, so the temperature of the soldered part of the printed wiring board to be transported rises rapidly every time it passes directly below or directly above the nozzle. However, there is a problem that the temperature gradually rises in the vicinity thereof, and a heating temperature profile including ripples cannot be obtained and a smooth heating temperature profile cannot be obtained.
[0010]
An object of the present invention is to realize a reflow soldering apparatus capable of obtaining a smooth and uniform heating temperature profile, thereby making it possible to manufacture a printed wiring board having uniform soldering quality and good quality. At the same time, it is to enable reflow soldering with lead-free solder having a high melting point to be performed with confidence.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The reflow soldering apparatus according to the present invention is characterized in that the hot air blowing means is configured so as to obtain a heating temperature profile with less ripple.
[0014]
( 1 ) A plate-like member provided with a large number of through holes is arranged on one surface and the other surface of the plate-like soldered workpiece conveyed by the conveying means based on the same arrangement rule. In the reflow soldering apparatus in which hot air is blown from the through hole to the plate-like workpiece to be soldered and heated, the relationship between the hole diameter R of the through hole and the thickness P of the plate member is expressed as R <P In addition, a through-hole that blows hot air on one surface of the plate-like workpiece to be soldered and a through-hole that blows hot air on the other surface are arranged at positions that do not face each other.
[0015]
As a result, the directivity in the blowing direction of the hot air is sharpened, and the speed of the hot air blown to the plate-like workpiece to be soldered can be increased, and the plate-like workpiece to be soldered is being conveyed. Even in the absence of this, the flow of hot air does not collide with each other in the front, and the flow of hot air in the heating chamber can be made uniform by regularization, and the temperature distribution in the heating chamber can always be made uniform. It becomes like this.
[0016]
In addition, the position of the hot air blown to one surface and the other surface of the plate-like work to be soldered is different from each other, so that it is the same as the case of providing a through hole for blowing hot air at a substantially double density. Thus, each part of the plate-like workpiece to be soldered can be heated without temperature unevenness, and ripples are hardly generated in the change in the heating temperature.
[0017]
(2) Further, in the reflow soldering apparatus according to (1), a plate provided with a plurality of through holes for sucking hot air blown onto a plate-like work to be soldered conveyed by a conveying means. A plurality of heating chambers provided at the periphery of the member are provided along the transport direction of the transport means.
[0018]
And the flow rate per unit area of the hot air sucked from the suction ports between the adjacent heating chambers among the suction ports provided at the peripheral edge of the plate-shaped member is per unit area of the hot air sucked from the other suction ports. The cross-sectional area of the flow channel connected to the suction port is configured to be smaller than the cross-sectional area of the flow channel connected to the other suction port so as to be smaller than the flow rate.
[0019]
By providing the hot air inlet between the adjacent heating chambers, the hot air atmosphere in the adjacent heating chambers is not mixed with each other. However, as the flow rate per unit area of the hot air at the suction port in this adjacent portion becomes larger than the flow rate per unit area of the hot air at the other suction ports, the hot air atmosphere in the adjacent heating chamber is likely to be mixed. . Therefore, by configuring the cross-sectional area of the flow path connected to the adjacent suction port to be relatively small, it is possible to reduce this mixing and improve the independence of the atmospheric temperature of each heating chamber. become.
[0020]
As a result, the controllability of the heating temperature between the heating chambers is improved, and the heating temperature profile of the plate-like workpiece to be soldered can be controlled as intended. That is, the controllability of the heating temperature profile is improved.
