BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rolling bearing used particularly in a corrosive environment. This rolling bearing is used in a state where it is immersed in a corrosive substance such as water, an acidic solution or an alkaline solution, or a corrosive substance adheres thereto.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the applications as described above, it is considered to use a total ceramic bearing in which inner and outer rings and rolling elements are formed of a ceramic material.
[0003]
As a ceramic material suitable for this bearing, for example, a silicon nitride-based ceramic material sintered with silicon nitride as a main component can be cited.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, although the silicon nitride ceramic material is excellent in load resistance, when it is used in an acidic solution, the wear progress due to corrosion at the raceway portion is accelerated, so the bearing life is shortened.
[0005]
On the other hand, there are silicon carbide ceramic materials and alumina ceramic materials that are sintered with silicon carbide as a main component. Although these have better corrosion resistance than silicon nitride ceramic materials, they are inferior in load resistance. Therefore, if inner and outer rings and rolling elements are formed from this silicon carbide ceramic material to form a total ceramic bearing, contact stress increases locally, especially when the bearing is assembled or when moment load is applied. , Easy to break.
[0006]
Under such circumstances, the present applicant proposes the present invention for the purpose of providing a rolling bearing excellent in corrosion resistance and load resistance.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The rolling bearing according to the invention of claim 1 is a rolling bearing used in contact with an acidic or alkaline corrosive substance, and is formed of a silicon carbide-based ceramic material containing silicon carbide whiskers. Including a bearing ring and a rolling element formed of a silicon carbide ceramic material, a blending ratio of silicon carbide whiskers in the bearing ring is 5 to 40 wt% .
[0012]
In short, in the present invention, the strength and toughness of the raceway are improved in addition to the corrosion resistance by forming the raceway with a ceramic material reinforced with whiskers.
[0013]
Also, rolling because the elements are formed of a hard silicon carbide Motokei ceramic material than metal material, even when the edge of the whiskers the raceway surface of the bearing ring is exposed, so that it can suppress damage to the rolling elements become.
[0014]
In addition, the ceramic material forming the bearing ring, the intensity of which particularly excellent in corrosion resistance among the ceramic materials, by a silicon carbide Motokei ceramic material having poor toughness, improve a is the strength and toughness it weakness It becomes possible, and it becomes possible to suppress breakage at the time of load sharing.
[0015]
Also, because they identify the c Isuka the silicon carbide whiskers, it becomes effective for strengthening the ceramic material.
[0016]

In addition, this invention is not limited only to the said Example, Various application and deformation | transformation can be considered.
[0031]
(1) In the above embodiment, a deep groove type ball bearing is illustrated as the rolling bearing A. However, the bearing type and type of bearing are generally well known, for example, an angular ball bearing, a cylindrical roller bearing, a tapered roller bearing, and the like. The present invention can be applied to various types such as a radial type and a thrust type.
[0032]
【The invention's effect】
In the rolling bearing according to the present invention , the raceway is formed of a ceramic material having improved corrosion resistance, toughness and strength, so that it is possible to prevent the raceway from being damaged, for example, when the bearing is assembled or a moment load is applied. However, it has become a configuration that can withstand long-term use in an environment where corrosive substances exist.
[0033]
In particular, in the present invention , even when the edge of the whisker for reinforcing the ceramic material is exposed on the raceway surface of the race, the rolling element is formed of a silicon carbide ceramic material that is harder than the metal material. It has become possible to prevent damage to the rolling element itself, and to contribute to improvement of bearing characteristics and life.
[0034]
Moreover, in the present invention , the strength and toughness, which are the weak points of silicon carbide ceramic materials, can be obtained by mixing the whisker with the silicon carbide ceramic materials having excellent corrosion resistance. Since it is improved, it becomes possible to suppress breakage during load sharing.
[0035]
Furthermore, the present invention is effective in improving the strength and toughness of the bearing ring itself by specifying the whisker to be mixed with the ceramic material forming the bearing ring as a silicon carbide whisker .
[0036]
In this way, it is possible to provide a rolling bearing that exhibits a sufficiently long life particularly when used in a corrosive environment. As a result, it is not necessary to frequently replace the rolling bearing in the usage application, and it is possible to contribute to a reduction in running cost.
