Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cooler that cools electronic elements such as a central processing unit (CPU) to prevent overheating.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Recently, the amount of heat generated by electronic devices such as CPUs has increased due to higher speeds and larger capacities. Accordingly, in order to avoid malfunctions and damage due to temperature rise, heat dissipation and cooling are more effective. There is a need for it. Therefore, conventionally, as an example of a cooler for an electronic device, a heat receiving block made of metal is attached to the electronic device, and one end of a heat pipe is disposed on the heat receiving block, and a plurality of flat fins are attached to the base plate. There is a structure in which a heat sink having a standing configuration is attached to the other end of the heat pipe, and a fan is further provided to supply an air flow to the heat sink.
[0003]
According to this cooler, since the heat of the electronic element is transported to the heat sink by the heat pipe having excellent heat transport capability, it is further sent to a place away from the electronic element by the air flow, so that the temperature rise of the electronic element is suppressed. It is possible.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional cooler has a structure in which the heat receiving block, the fan, and the heat pipe are respectively fixed to the personal computer case or the chassis provided therein by means such as fitting or screwing, and the personal computer. In contrast, since the structure has a large number of members to be directly assembled, there is a disadvantage that the assembling property to the personal computer as the whole cooler is inferior.
[0005]
The present invention has been made against the background described above, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cooler that is excellent in assembling to an apparatus in which an electronic element is mounted.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problem and Action]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides an electronic element cooler that transfers heat generated from an electronic element to a heat radiating metal plate and dissipates the heat from the heat radiating metal plate . One side part of the lower surface is projected in the plate thickness direction to be a pedestal part to which the electronic element is attached, and a heat sink is attached to one side part on the opposite side of the same surface as the pedestal part in the metal plate for heat dissipation is, the groove attached to the opposite side of the base portion of the radiating metal plate is formed, whether one heat pipe which supplies the heat of the electronic element to the heat sink is, the surface of the radiating metal plate is attach to the mounting grooves come up attitude, further fan for supplying air flow to said heat sink and said heat sink and the base portion of the radiating metal plate And it is characterized in that it is Ri attached taken in.
[0007]
Therefore, according to the present invention, a heat radiating metal plate that itself becomes a heat radiating member, a heat pipe that quickly transports heat to a place away from the electronic element, and a heat sink that promotes heat radiation in the condensing part of the heat pipe Since the fan and the fan are unitized, the assembly to the device on which the electronic element is mounted is completed by connecting the base part and the electronic element.
[0008]
In the present invention, since the pedestal part is a part to which the electronic element is attached, the mounting position of the electronic element is clarified, and a part protruding from the range corresponding to the pedestal part is provided on the electronic element, and the protruding part By disposing a fixing member such as a screw or a clamper between the portion and the metal plate, the electronic element can be securely and firmly adhered to the pedestal portion.
[0009]
Therefore, since the electronic element is directly attached to the heat radiating metal plate, the heat generated from the electronic element is directly transmitted to the heat radiating metal plate and is radiated from the heat radiating metal plate. The heat resistance between the metal plate for heat dissipation becomes small and heat can be efficiently radiated. In addition, the heat pipe supplies heat to a heat sink disposed at a location away from the pedestal, and the heat is transmitted to the air flow generated by driving the fan. It is carried away from the board. As a result, overheating of the electronic element is prevented.

In the above-described specific example, the electronic element, the heat pipe, and the like are directly attached to the heat diffusion plate. However, the term “directly” in this invention refers to a filler that mediates heat transfer such as a so-called thermal joint. However, it does not exclude the presence of this kind of inclusions that is generally performed conventionally.
[0027]
Also, the electronic device targeted by the present invention is not limited to a CPU, and includes a wide range of general electronic components that generate heat when operated by being energized. Furthermore, the metal part that can be used in the present invention is not limited to aluminum or an alloy thereof, and may be another metal such as copper or a magnesium alloy. Furthermore, in the above specific example, the configuration in which the heat pipe is disposed on the surface opposite to the pedestal portion of the heat diffusion plate is illustrated, but for example, the heat pipe may be disposed on the same surface as the pedestal portion.

【The invention's effect】
According to the invention described above, the pedestal portion in the radiating metal plate projecting in the thickness direction and mounting the electronic element is formed, the heat sink from the base portion away the箇 plants of the radiating metal plate In addition, a heat pipe for supplying heat from the electronic element to the heat sink is attached in a posture attached to the surface of the heat radiating metal plate, and a fan for supplying an air flow to the heat sink is attached to the heat radiating metal plate. In addition, since the member that cools the electronic element is unitized, it is possible to improve the assembling property to the device on which the electronic element is mounted.
