【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an inkjet printer that performs recording on a recording member by ejecting ink from an inkjet head, and more particularly to an ink supply path connection unit for connecting an ink supply path for supplying ink to the inkjet head.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a method of communicating the ink jet head with the ink supply path, a method of joining the ink jet head and a member constituting the supply path with an adhesive to form an ink supply path and supplying ink to the ink jet head is used. ing. For example, when the ink jet head is bonded to a case member having an ink supply port, the applicant of the present invention includes a recess for forming a space for filling an adhesive between the ink jet head and the case member, and the space. A method has been proposed in which a hole that communicates is provided, and an adhesive is injected from the hole, whereby the adhesive is filled into a space intentionally formed between the head member and the case member, and assembly is performed. (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-57997)
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
According to the above method, since the connection portion of the ink supply path is sealed at the same time as fixing the head to the case, there is a remarkable effect of improving the assemblability of the unit including the ink jet head. There were issues to be addressed.
[0004]
Adequate amount of adhesion to prevent the adhesive from flowing into the ink flow path due to excessive injection amount, and to prevent gaps in the bonding surface between the head member and the case member due to insufficient injection amount of the adhesive. In order to fill the agent, it was necessary to strictly control the filling amount.
[0005]
In order to sufficiently fill the space intentionally formed between the head member and the case member with the adhesive, it was necessary to inject the adhesive at a relatively high pressure.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in order to improve such a point, facilitates the management of the filling amount of the adhesive, can inject the adhesive at a relatively low pressure, has no ink ejection failure, and is an ink. An object of the present invention is to provide a highly reliable ink supply path connection unit that does not leak.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
An ink supply path connection unit according to the present invention is an ink supply path connection unit for connecting an ink supply path for supplying ink to an inkjet head, and includes a first flow path communicating with a nozzle and the first flow path. A first component having an ink intake port that communicates with the ink tank, a second channel connected to the ink tank, an ink supply port communicating with the second channel, and a periphery of the ink supply port. A second component having an adhesive groove, wherein the first component is connected to the ink supply port with respect to the second component, and the first component In the ink supply path connection unit arranged such that a gap is formed between a surface of the component on which the ink intake port is formed and a bottom surface of the adhesive groove, Either the component or the second component is provided with an adhesive inlet for filling the gap with an adhesive and an air vent for venting the air in the gap, and the gap is formed in an annular shape. The ring formed by the gap is divided into two paths connecting the adhesive inlet and the air vent, and the air vent is located in the two paths with respect to the position of the adhesive inlet. It is characterized by arrange | positioning so that the length of may become substantially equal.
[0008]
When the adhesive is injected into the gap from the adhesive inlet, the air in the gap is expelled from the air vent. That is, since the air vent functions as an air vent, it is possible to fill the gap with an adhesive at a relatively low pressure. Further, even if the injection is performed at a relatively low pressure, air remains in the gap, and there is no possibility that a sealing failure will occur at the connecting portion. In addition, since it is sufficient to fill the adhesive until the adhesive flows into the air vent, it can be easily confirmed that an appropriate amount of adhesive has been filled. It becomes easy to manage the filling amount.
[0009]
Further, in the ink supply path connection unit, the gap is formed in an annular shape, and the ring formed by the gap is divided into two line segments connecting the adhesive inlet and the air vent, and The air vent is disposed at a position where the two line segments are substantially equal to the position of the adhesive inlet.
[0010]
By doing so, the adhesive injected from the adhesive injection port reaches the air vent almost simultaneously through two paths formed by the gap. For this reason, there is no possibility that air will remain in the gap.
[0011]
The ink supply path connection unit of the present invention can be variously modified and applied without departing from the gist thereof.
[0012]
For example, a positioning member that positions the first component at a predetermined position with respect to the second component may be provided so that the position of the ink intake port matches the position of the ink supply port.
[0013]
Further, an ink tank may be connected to the second component of the ink supply path connection unit, or an ink jet head may be connected to the first component to constitute an ink jet cartridge. An ink jet printer may be configured by connecting an ink tank to the second component of the ink supply path connection unit described above and connecting an ink jet head having a nozzle to the first flow path of the connection unit. .
