Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a weather strip for automobiles that can exhibit excellent sound insulation without deteriorating door closing performance.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In order to enhance the sound insulation of weather strips attached to automobile doors and bodies, sound transmission loss should be increased. To increase this transmission loss, the thickness of the sound insulation material (weather strip) should be increased. It is known that the weight may be increased by increasing the weight. This trend is seen in luxury cars in Europe.
[0003]
However, when the weight is increased by increasing the thickness of the weather strip, the compression load when the door is closed increases, so that the problem of so-called door closing performance deteriorates. European luxury cars solve this problem by maintaining high installation accuracy and using heavy doors.
[0004]
In Japan, sound insulation formed by the Applicant with a highly foamed sponge material (“High Soft Sponge”) that has excellent sound insulation properties in order to provide a sufficient installation accuracy and avoid the use of heavy doors. Technology to integrate materials has been developed.
[0005]
For example, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a sound insulation material 22 made of a highly foamed sponge material is provided in the hollow seal portion 21 of the weather strip 20 and absorbs or reflects sound intrusion to prevent it. . Since the sound insulating material 22 made of a highly foamed sponge material is a soft porous body, it has a feature that the sound insulating performance can be improved while maintaining good door closing performance.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, there is still room for further improvement in the weather strip 20 provided with the excellent sound insulation material 22 made of a highly foamed sponge material. That is, since the sound insulating material 22 made of a highly foamed sponge material is solid, when the door is closed, the whole including the interior is compressed and deformed, so-called bottomed (see FIG. 3). In addition, the specific gravity of the highly foamed sponge material is manufactured to about 0.25 to 0.30 with the current technology, and it is difficult to make it lower.
[0007]
Therefore, there is a concern that the compression load of the sound insulating material 22 when the door is closed affects the door closing performance. This is not a problem when the gap between the door and the body is installed as set, but it becomes a problem when the gap becomes narrow due to variations in installation.
[0008]
The present invention was devised in view of these problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a weather strip that can exhibit high sound insulation without deteriorating door closing performance even when there are variations in the installation of vehicles. And
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
This will be described with reference to FIGS. 1, 4 and 5. The weather strip 10 according to the invention of claim 1 is a weather strip attached to a door or a body having at least a hollow seal portion 11 formed by a hollow wall 11a, and is provided on an inner peripheral surface of the hollow wall 11a. specific gravity Ri the name and the hollow sound insulating tubular wall 14 provided with highly foamed sponge material made of 0.1 to 0.4, close the doors of the vehicle, the corresponding to the hollow wall 11a is elastically deformed The sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is also elastically deformed, and since the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is hollow, it does not have a bottomed state, maintains a hollow shape, and a compressive load received from the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 when the door is closed. It is small, door closing performance is not deteriorated, noise outside the vehicle or room noise is blocked by the sound insulation cylinder wall 14 having excellent sound insulation properties, and intrusion into the room and leakage outside the vehicle are prevented in advance. to the It is intended.
[0010]
The weather strip 10 according to the invention of claim 2 includes a base portion 12 attached to the attachment portion 1a of the door panel 1, and a hollow seal formed by a hollow wall 11a on the indoor side of the base portion 12 and elastically contacting the indoor side of the body panel 2. the parts 11 a weather strip which is integrally molded on the inner peripheral surface of the hollow wall 11a, a specific gravity of Ri Na provided a hollow sound insulating tubular wall 14 with a high foam sponge material made of 0.1 to 0.4 When the automobile door is closed, the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is also elastically deformed in response to the elastic deformation of the hollow wall 11a, and the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is hollow so that it does not have a bottomed state. The sound insulation cylinder wall 14 is maintained in a hollow shape and receives a small compressive load from the sound insulation cylinder wall 14 when the door is closed, the door closing performance is not deteriorated, and the outside noise or the indoor noise is excellent in the sound insulation performance. Blocked by Is a to shall and characterized by entry and leakage outside the vehicle to the chamber is prevented.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A weather strip 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. The weather strip 10 includes a base portion 12, a hollow seal portion 11, and a lip portion 13, and is attached to an automobile door.
[0012]
The base portion 12 is fixed to the attachment portion 1 a of the door panel 1 by a plurality of clips 15. The hollow seal portion 11 is integrally formed by a hollow wall 11a on the indoor side of the base portion 12, and elastically contacts the indoor side of the body panel 2 when the door is closed to seal between the door and the body. The lip portion 13 is integrally formed on the vehicle outer side of the base portion 12 and its middle portion elastically contacts the door panel 1, and when the door is closed, its tip portion elastically contacts the vehicle panel outer side of the body panel 2. Seal between.
[0013]
Note that a sealing material 16 made of a highly foamed sponge material is integrally formed on the lower surface of the base portion 12, thereby maintaining a good sealing property between the weather strip 10 and the door panel 1.
[0014]
A hollow sound insulating cylindrical wall 14 made of a highly foamed sponge material is integrally provided on the inner peripheral surface of the hollow wall 11a forming the hollow seal portion 11. The specific gravity of the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is 0.1 to 0.4, preferably about 0.25 to 0.30, and is excellent in sound insulation. If the specific gravity is less than 0.1, it is difficult to stably produce a highly foamed sponge material, and if the specific gravity exceeds 0.4, the door closing performance deteriorates. A preferable specific gravity range that can be manufactured stably and does not deteriorate the door closing performance is about 0.25 to 0.30. As the highly foamed sponge material for forming the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14, EPDM ethylene propylene rubber is suitable, but the material is not limited, such as a rubber material or a thermoplastic resin material.
[0015]
When the door of the automobile to which the weather strip 10 according to the present embodiment is attached is closed, the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is also elastically deformed in response to the elastic deformation of the hollow wall 11a. At this time, since the sound insulation cylindrical wall 14 is hollow, it is not in a so-called bottomed state, and maintains a hollow state. Therefore, the compression load received from the sound insulation cylinder wall 14 when the door is closed is small, and the door closing performance is not deteriorated.
[0016]
Moreover, the noise outside the vehicle or the noise inside the vehicle is blocked by the sound insulation cylinder wall 14 made of a highly foamed sponge and having excellent sound insulation properties, so that entry into the room and leakage outside the vehicle are prevented in advance. The weather strip 10 exerts its effect particularly when variations occur in the installation of the vehicle and the gap between the body and the door becomes narrow.
[0017]
Although the weather strip 10 according to the above-described embodiment is attached to the door of the automobile, the present invention is not limited to this, and the weather strip attached to the body side (door opening or roof opening) of the automobile. It can also be applied to.
[0018]
Although only the weather strip attached to the attachment surface (door inner panel) of the door panel of an automobile with a clip has been illustrated and described, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the present invention can also be applied to a weather strip that is fitted and attached to a retainer attached to a door panel of an automobile, or a weather strip that is fitted to a door sash.
[0019]
In addition, various weather strips attached to door openings, trunks, back door openings, bonnet openings, sunroof openings or opening edges, weather strips attached to hard top cars, open cars, etc. A glass run or the like is also applicable. That is, the present invention can be applied to all weather strips having a hollow (seal) portion.
[0020]
Moreover, although the example which provided the sound insulation cylinder wall only in the perimeter of the hollow wall inner periphery and also with substantially constant thickness was shown, thickness may not be substantially constant.
[0021]
【The invention's effect】
The automotive weatherstrip 10 according to the first and second aspects of the present invention has a hollow sound insulation cylinder wall made of a highly foamed sponge material on the inner peripheral surface of the hollow wall 11a forming the hollow seal portion 11. 14 is provided, the compression load when the door is closed is extremely small. Therefore, even when there is variation in the installation of the vehicle and the gap between the body and the door is narrow, good sound insulation can be exhibited without deteriorating the door closing performance.
