BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control technology for a vehicle wiper device, and particularly to a technology effective when applied to a counter-wiping type wiper device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, a so-called counter-wiping type wiper device has been put into practical use in which the right and left wiper blades (hereinafter abbreviated as blades) are separately driven by a motor in order to reduce the size and weight of the device. ing. However, in such a wiper apparatus, the left and right blades are driven by separate motors, so that the blade operations may be separated due to differences in motor characteristics and load fluctuations, and the blades may interfere with each other. In view of this, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-301409 proposes a method of smoothly driving a blade by individually controlling a motor while observing the position angle and moving speed of the other blade.
[0003]
In the device of the above publication, the target angle difference between the left and right blades is set in advance, and the left and right motors are individually set so that the difference between the target angle difference and the measured angle difference is reduced while referring to the position angle of the other blade. Speed controlled. In this case, the position angle and the moving speed of both blades are constantly monitored by the CPU in the wiper control device, and the CPU individually controls the left and right motors so that the blades do not interfere with each other. Then, according to the target angle difference control by the CPU, the left and right blades are driven by individual drive systems, and a reciprocating wiping operation is performed between the upper reverse position and the lower reverse position.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in a wiper device employing such a control mode, when a circuit element such as a CPU or a switching element fails, the operation of both blades may be stopped and the wiping operation may not be performed at all. Even if one side of the blade stops due to a failure in the drive system, the other side blade is driven based on information on the position and speed of the failure side blade. . For this reason, when a system failure such as a CPU or a drive system occurs during a rainy run, there is a problem that raindrops attached to the glass surface remain without being wiped off when the blade is stopped, making it difficult to secure the driver's visibility.
[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a wiper device control method capable of ensuring a driver's field of view even in the event of a system failure in a wiper device in which left and right blades are driven by individual motors.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The wiper device control method according to the present invention includes a first wiper blade driven by a first motor and a second wiper blade driven by a second motor. A wiper control device connected to the first and second motors; Have The first and second wiper blades perform a reciprocating wiping operation between an upper inversion position and a lower inversion position set on the windshield. A control method of a wiper device, wherein the first motor is Directly linked to the wiper switch that controls the operation of the wiper device, the operation is controlled only by ON / OFF of the wiper switch, and in all areas of the reciprocating wiping operation Said second motor When Driving the first wiper blade independently without interlocking, and outputting a rotation signal proportional to the rotation angle, The wiper control device is configured to detect a current value of the second blade based on a rotation signal output in proportion to a rotation angle of the second motor and a position signal generated when the second blade reaches a predetermined position. Calculating position information indicating a position, and controlling the rotation speed of the second motor based on the rotation signal of the first motor according to the rotation speed of the first motor; The second wiper blade does not interfere with the first wiper blade The operation of the second motor is controlled, and the wiping operation of the first wiper blade is maintained even when the second wiper blade is stopped due to a failure. It is characterized by that.
[0007]
According to the present invention, since the first wiper blade is driven regardless of the second wiper blade side, even if the second wiper blade is abnormally stopped due to a failure, the first wiper blade is driven by the first motor. Driven continuously, the wiping operation can be maintained.
[0008]
In the control method, the rotation speed of the first motor is calculated based on the rotation signal from the first motor, and the operation control is performed so that the rotation speed of the second motor is the same as that of the first motor. You may do it.
[0009]
Furthermore, in the control method, the wiper blade disposed on the driver's seat side of the vehicle may be the first wiper blade, and the wiper blade disposed on the passenger seat side of the vehicle may be the second wiper blade. Thereby, even if the second wiper blade is abnormally stopped due to a failure, the windshield wiping operation on the driver's seat side by the first wiper blade is maintained, and the visibility thereof is also ensured.
[0010]
In addition, in the control method, the first and second wiper blades are opposed to each other between an upper inversion position set on both ends of the windshield and a lower inversion position set in the lower end central portion of the windshield. Alternatively, the present invention may be applied to a counter-wiping wiper device that is wiped and operated.
[0011]
Still further, in the control method, the output of each motor is transmitted to each wiper blade via a link mechanism, and each motor is rotated at a constant rotational speed. A speed difference may be set between the first and second wiper blades by adjusting the length of the connecting rod. This makes it possible to avoid interference between the blades by mechanical setting.
[0012]
On the other hand, in the control method, the output of the first motor may be smaller than the output of the second motor. That is, by making the output of the second motor larger than the output of the first motor, the motor on the high output side can be driven to follow the motor on the low output side even if the difference in rotational speed between the two motors is large. Therefore, even if the angle difference between the wiper blades is large, one wiper blade can follow the other wiper blade. For this reason, the freedom degree of a wiper control form becomes large, and the angle between blades can be set to an optimal angle according to the position of each blade.

[0052]
【The invention's effect】
According to the wiper device control method of the present invention, in the wiper device that individually drives the first and second wiper blades by the first and second motors, the first motor is independent of the second motor without being linked. Since the second motor is controlled to operate so that the first and second wiper blades do not interfere with each other based on the rotation signal from the first motor, the first wiper blade is different from the second wiper blade side. Even if the second wiper blade is abnormally stopped due to a failure, the first wiper blade is continuously driven by the first motor. Therefore, even if the second wiper blade is out of order, the first wiper blade can be continuously wiped, and the wiping performance on the first wiper blade side can be maintained.
[0053]
In addition, by using the first wiper blade as the driver's side wiper blade and the second wiper blade as the passenger's side wiper blade, even if the passenger's side blade stops abnormally, It is possible to maintain the wiping operation. Therefore, it is possible to secure the driver's field of view even in the event of a failure, and to improve safety.
[0054]
Furthermore, by adjusting the swing position of the drive lever of the link mechanism and the length of the connecting rod to set a speed difference between the first and second wiper blades, mechanical interference avoids interference between the blades. It becomes possible to do.
[0055]
In addition, by providing a difference between the output of the first motor and the output of the second motor, the motor on the high output side can follow the motor on the low output side even if the rotational speed difference between the two motors is large. Can be driven. Therefore, even if there is a large angle difference between the wiper blades, one wiper blade can follow the other wiper blade, increasing the degree of freedom of the wiper control mode, and the angle between the blades according to the position of each blade. Therefore, it is possible to set an optimal angle.
