本発明は、ディスク駆動用モータに係り、特にそのターンテーブルの形状に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のモータの一例である光ディスク用スピンドルモータについて説明する。
図10はその縦断面図であり、光ディスク26を支持した状態を示している。
このモータは、ステータ112とロータ101とから構成される。

ステータ112はモータべース105に支持された焼結含油軸受106と、この軸受106を収納する軸受ホルダ107と、この軸受ホルダ107の外周に装着されてコイル102を巻回された積層コア108とで構成されている。
ロータ102は、環状のロータヨーク103と、このロータヨーク103の環状壁の内面に固着された駆動マグネット114と、ロータヨーク103の回転中心に設けられた孔103Aに固定したスピンドル104と、このスピンドル104の上方側に固着したターンテーブル123とで構成されている。
そして、スピンドル104の下方側が軸受106に軸支され、ロータ101はステータ112に対して回転自在となっている。

ターンテーブル123は、樹脂又は真鍮を材料として貫通孔123Aとフランジ123Bとを備えた偏平の略円盤状に形成されている。樹脂としては例えばポリカーボネイト系樹脂が使用される。

そして、この上側面123Cには、ディスク26の滑りを防止するために、滑り難い弾性材料を打ち抜きで形成したリング状のシート124が貼り付けられており、ディスク26はこのシート124上に載置される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、リング状のシート124を打ち抜いたときに、抜き型の精度と材料の弾性とからその内周及び外周の抜き方向の端部には0.01mm程のバリ119が発生し易い。
このバリ119が発生したシート124をターンテーブル123の上側面123Cに貼り付けると、そのバリ119の為にシート124の高さが不均一になってしまう。
この状態を図11及び図12に示す。

そこで本発明が解決しようとする課題は、ターンテーブル上に装着したシートにバリが生じていてもディスクの面振れが大きくなることがないディスク駆動用モータを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するために、本願発明は手段として次の1),2)の構成を有する。
1)ステータ12と、スピンドル4と、ディスク26を載置するためのターンテーブル23を含み、前記ステータ12に対して前記スピンドル4を介して回転駆動されるロータ1と、前記ターンテーブル23の前記ディスク26が載置される側の面である載置面23C上に取り付けられ前記ディスクが載置されるシートと、を備えたディスク駆動用モータにおいて、前記載置面23Cを、少なくとも、径方向に所定の幅Lを有し、前記スピンドル4の軸Xと直交する平面からなる第1の面23B1と、前記第1の面23B1より大径側にあって、前記スピンドル4から離れるに従って前記第1の面23B1を含む平面から漸次離間するよう前記ステータ側に傾斜する第2の面23B2と、前記第1の面23B1より内径側にあって、前記スピンドル4に近づくに従って前記第1の面23B1を含む平面から漸次離間するよう前記ステータ側に傾斜する第3の面23B3と、で形成すると共に、前記シート24を前記第1乃至第3の面23B1〜23B3にまたがるよう取り付けて成ることを特徴とするディスク駆動用モータである。

以下に説明する好ましい実施例は光ディスク駆動用のスピンドルモータである。
このモータは、例えばCD−ROMやCD−R等の光ディスクを回転駆動させるためのモータであり、このディスクを載置するためのターンテーブル形状に特徴を有するものである。そして、外観は図1及び図2に示されるものである。

まず、このモータの構成について図1乃至図4を用いて説明する。
このモータはステータ12とロータ1とを含んで成る。

<ステータ12について>
図4に示すように、ステータ12は、モータべース5に支持された焼結含油軸受6と、この軸受6を収納する円環状の樹脂製軸受ホルダ7と、この軸受ホルダ7の外周に装着され、かつ、コイル2を巻回した積層コア8とから構成される。

モータべース5には、電子部品を実装したプリント基板25が重なるように取り付けられている。
焼結含油軸受6は、鍔部21を有して銅又は鉄系の材料から形成されており、後述するカバー9を介してねじ18でモータべース5に締結されている。
積層コア8は珪素鋼板で図示せぬ突極を有して形成され、その突極にはコイル2が巻回されている。

ステータ12の下方部には、金属製のカバー9が軸受6を支持するように装着されており、その内側には、スピンドル4(後述)の下端と当接してスラスト軸受を構成するスラストプレート10が備えられている。
カバー9の外周端部とモータべース5との間には、シリコン又はゴム系からなる弾性材料で形成されたリング状のオイルシール17が設置され、カバー9の装着によりこのオイルシール17がモータべース5に付勢されて密着することで軸受6内に充填された潤滑油の外部への漏出を防止している。

また、スピンドル4の下端と軸受6との間には、スリットを設けたステンレス系のばね材料で形成されたリング状のストップリング13が取り付けられており、軸受6からスピンドル4が上方に抜けるのを防いでいる。

<ロータ1について>
次にロータ1について説明する。
図4に示すように、ロータ1は、ディスク26をモータの上面側で回転支持するターンテーブル23と、一端側を開口した偏平な略環状のロータヨーク3と、このロータヨーク3の環状壁の内面に接着固定された駆動マグネット14と、ロータヨーク3の回転中心に設けられた孔3Aに固定されると共に上方側にターンテーブル23を固着されたスピンドル4とで構成されている。
そして、スピンドル4の下方側が上述した軸受6に軸支されることでロータ1はステータ12に対して軸Xを回転中心として回転駆動される。

ロータヨーク3は鉄系の磁性材料で形成されており、その回転中心に設けられた孔3Aはバーリング加工され、そこにスピンドル4が上方にも充分突出するように圧入固定されている。
また、バーリング加工された孔3Aの先端部近傍のスピンドル4には、例えばPOM樹脂で形成されたオイルディフレクタ22がに取り付けられていて、軸受6の潤滑油の上方からの漏出を防止している。

<磁気吸引について>
以上のような構成のロータ1は、ステータ12側に磁気吸引されて滑らかに回転可能となっており、これについて以下に説明する(図4参照)。
軸受ホルダ7の上方側開口部の外周面に段部7aを設け、この段部7aに、環状のバックヨーク15と環状のバイアスマグネット16とが、このバイアスマグネット16がロータヨーク3側になるように重ねられて接着固定されている。
この状態において、バイアスマグネット16はロータヨーク3の内面近傍に位置するように配設されているので、ロータヨーク3はステータ12側に磁気吸引され、この磁気吸引によりロータ1は振動や騒音を発生することなく静かに回転することができる。

<ターンテーブルについて>
次に、図3,図4を用いてターンテーブル23について詳述する。
ターンテーブル23は、樹脂又は真鍮を材料として貫通孔23Aとフランジ23Bとを備えた偏平の略円盤状に形成されている。
使用できる樹脂としては、例えばポリカーボネイト系樹脂がある。
貫通孔23Aにはそのフランジ23B側から上述のスピンドル4が挿入されて固定される。

フランジ23Bの上面、即ちディスク26を載置する側の面(以下、載置面23Cと称する)は、以下に説明する第1〜第3の3つの面を少なくとも含んで形成されている。
第1の面23B1は、スピンドル4の軸Xと直交する平面を有するように形成した外直径φ23Gと内直径φ23Hの間の面である。従って、この第1の面の径方向の幅Lは、L=(φ23G−φ23H)/2である。
第2の面23B2は、第1の面23B1の外側、すなわち、直径がφ23Gより大きい部分において、スピンドル4から離れるに従って第1の面23B1を形成する平面からステータ12側に漸次離間し、少なくとも所定の離間寸法tを有するように傾斜して形成された面である。
第3の面23B3は、第1の面23B1の内側、すなわち、直径がφ23Hより小さい部分において、スピンドル4に近づくに従って第1の面23B1を形成する平面からステータ12側に漸次離間し、少なくとも所定の離間寸法tを有するように傾斜して形成された面である。
そして、これらの第1〜第3の面23B1〜23B3にまたがるようにフェルト等の滑り難い弾性部材で形成されたリング状のシート24が装着されており、このシート24上にディスク26が載置される。このシート24は、ディスク26の滑りを防止するためのものである。

従って、図6,図7に示すように、シート24の内外周端部にバリ19があってもその内外周端部が装着された面は、第1の面を含む平面からステータ12側に漸次離間し、所定の離間寸法tを有するように傾斜した第2,第3の面23B2,23B3であるので、バリ19が第1の面23B1に対応するシート24のディスク載置面28を越えてディスク26側に突出したり、ディスク載置面28に対応する部分がターンテーブル23と密着せずに浮き上がってしまうことがない。

この構成は、一例として下記の寸法で構成することができる。
シート24については、外径28mm,内径21mm,厚さ0.5mmであり、ターンテーブル23については、外径29mm,離間寸法tは0.02mm〜0.1mmであり、幅Lは1mm〜3mmである。もちろんこれらの寸法は限定されるものではなく適宜設定することができる。

<第1〜第3の面の形成方法について>
次に、第1〜第3の面23B1〜23B3の形成方法の好ましい例について図5を用いて説明する。この例において各面は切削によって形成される。
図5(a)は、図示しない切削バイトのいわゆる送りについて、その先端の移動軌跡を矢印をもって説明する概略断面図である。
この工程で加工されたA部の拡大断面図を図5(b)に示す。当図は切削の引き目を説明するためのもので、その形状を誇張して表している。
切削は、ターンテーブル23を図示しない加工機にチャッキングし、これを孔23Aの軸の回りに回転させながら切削バイトを図5(a)の左右方向に送ることで周方向を切削方向として行われる。

上述した実施例においては、第1の面23B1に連接して第2,第3の面23B2,23B3を段差なく屈曲させて形成したが、これに限定されるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲において例えば図8のように変形が可能である。

さらに、第2,第3の面23B2,23B3を曲面に形成してもよい(図8(c)参照)。
また、実施例あるいはこれらの変形例を互いに組み合わせたものにしてもよい。

これらの面を切削で形成する場合、境界部Fをなだらかにした図8(c)の形状は、バイトの送りをこの面に沿った曲線にすることで上述の凸部23D(図5(b)参照)の発生を防げるので好ましい。
樹脂の射出成形でターンテーブル23を形成する場合は、第2,3の面23B2,23B3や境界部Fを切削工程による制限なく自由な形状にすることができる。
一方、シート24を貼付や接着等で行う場合は、接着面との強度維持のために境界部Fは段差が無い、例えば実施例あるいは図8(c)のような形状が望ましい。

実施例におけるスピンドル4はロータ1を構成して回転するものとしたが、ステータ12を構成して固定したものでもよい。このスピンドル4をロータ1又はステータ12に含めるか、あるいは独立したものとして分類するかは自由であり、少なくともロータがステータに対してスピンドルを介して回転駆動される構成のモータであればよい。

【発明の効果】
以上詳述したように、本願発明によれば、ターンテーブルのディスクを載せる側である載置面を、スピンドルの軸と直交する平面からなる第1の面と、この面を含む平面から漸次離間するよう前記ステータ側に傾斜する第2,第3の面とで形成し、これらの面にまたがるようにシートを取り付けたので、このシートの端部にバリが生じていてもその部分が取り付けられた面は傾斜した第2,第3の面であるから、バリが第1の面に対応するシートのディスク載置面を越えてディスク側に突出したりシート載置面が浮き上がってしまうことがなく、ディスクの面振れが大きくなることがないという効果を得る。
