【発明が解決しようとする課題】
特許文献1、2にあっては洗髪できることを主眼とした洗面化粧台であるので、水栓金具としてシャワーノズルを用いている。このため、歯磨きや洗顔といった洗面器本来の用途には使用しづらいという問題がある。特に、特許文献2にあってはシャワーノズルの位置を変更できないため、洗髪用としても使用勝手が悪い。

また、特許文献3にあっては水栓金具としてスパウトを用いており、スパウトを手前側に回動せしめることで吐水口が使用者に近づくのであるが、水平面内での回動であるため、吐水口の高さは変化しない。このため吐水口の下に頭を入れることが難しく洗髪しにくいという問題がある。尚、洗髪しやすくするには、はじめからスパウトの位置を高くしておけばよいが、この場合には通常の洗顔や手を洗うときに吐水口が高くなり過ぎ、水撥ねが生じやすい。

上記課題を解決するため、本発明に係る洗面化粧台は、洗面器と化粧鏡と前記洗面器に向けて吐水を行うスパウトを備え、前記スパウトはその基端部が垂直線を奥側に傾斜せしめた軸線を中心として回動可能に支持され、前記スパウトを基端部を中心に手前側に回動せしめることで、スパウト先端の吐水部の位置が高くなり、前記スパウトを基端部を中心に奥側に回動せしめることで、スパウト先端の吐水部の位置が低くなるようにした。
