【発明が属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えば携帯電話などの通信機器に使用され得る高周波回路基板及びそれを用いた高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来例えば携帯電話などの通信機器においては、受信回路をアンテナに接続したり送信回路をアンテナに接続するために高周波スイッチモジュールが用いられている。この種の高周波スイッチモジュールは、通信機器自体の小型軽量化の観点から、複数の回路素子のうち一部を誘電体基板に形成して誘電体積層構造体(調波回路基板)とし、残りの回路素子をチップ素子に形成して誘電体積層構造体の外面に装着した複合構造のユニットとして構成されている(特開平6−204912号公報参照)。

この種の公知の高周波スイッチにおいては、例えば特開平8−97743号公報に開示されているように、送信回路にコンデンサを介して第1のダイオードのアノードが接続され、第1のダイオードのアノードはチョークコイルとして作用する第1のストリップラインとコンデンサとの直列回路を介して接地され、第1のストリップラインとコンデンサとの中間点には第1の制御端子が接続され、第1の制御端子には、高周波スイッチの切換えを行う制御回路が接続される。また第1のダイオードのカソードは別のコンデンサを介してアンテナに接続されている。一方、アンテナにはこの別のコンデンサ及び第2のストリップラインとコンデンサとの直列回路を介して受信回路が接続され、第2のストリップラインとコンデンサとの中間点は第2のダイオードのアノードが接続され、第2のダイオードのカソードはコンデンサを介して接地され、第2のストリップラインとコンデンサとの中間点には第2の制御端子が接続され、第2の制御端子には、高周波スイッチの切換えを行う制御回路が接続される。
そしてこのように構成した高周波スイッチは、第1、第2の制御端子に印加するバイアス電圧を制御することにより送信信号及び受信信号の切換えを行うようにされている。

また、特開平8−97743号公報には、このような構成の高周波スイッチング回路素子とフィルタ回路素子とを、高周波スイッチング回路素子のうち高周波デバイスを成すダイオードを除いて複数の誘電体基板に形成し、ダイオードをチップ素子として構成し、複数の誘電体基板の積層体上にダイオードチップ素子を装着したものが提案されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように高周波スイッチング回路素子のうち高周波デバイスを成すダイオードをチップ素子として構成し、高周波スイッチング回路素子の残りの素子及びフィルタ回路素子を複数の誘電体基板に形成して積層体とし、この積層体上にダイオードチップ素子を装着した従来の高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールユニットは、通信機器自体の小型軽量化に伴う小型化の要求を十分に満足するものとなっていない。すなわち、上述のような従来の構造では、アンテナと送信回路との間に接続されたダイオードのアノードに接続されたチョークコイルとして作用するストリップラインは、高周波スイッチング回路における高周波デバイスの駆動回路への高周波信号の漏れを防止するため、送信回路からの送信信号の波長をλとしたとき、λ/4線路以下の長さをもつようにされており、従ってストリップラインは、実際には相当な大きなインダクタンス(例えば100nH程度)をもつ必要がある。そのため、このストリップラインを誘電体基板上にパターン化するにはかなりの面積をもつ基板を用いる必要があり、このことは、誘電体基板の積層体の縦横寸法をストリップラインのパターン化に必要な面積に合わせて設定しなければならず、小型化には限界があった。

一方、携帯電話などの通信機器の小型軽量化の傾向は益々進んでおり、それに伴い機器内部における高周波スイッチのための収納容積も減少され、その減少した収納容積に適合できる寸法で高周波スイッチモジュールを実現することが要望されている。

従って、本発明は、従来の高周波スイッチモジュールに伴う問題点を解決して、通信機器内に画定された収納容積の低減に適合できしかもインダクタ素子による干渉などの影響を低減できる高周波回路基板及びそれを用いた小型の高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールを提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために、本発明の第1の発明によれば、高周波スイッチング回路のチョークコイル回路素子をチップインダクタとして搭載し、第一の誘電体基板と第二の誘電体基板とを含む複数の誘電体基板で構成される高周波回路基板において、
第一の誘電体基板は、前記高周波回路基板の表面を形成し、
前記第一の誘電体基板の表面にチップインダクタ用のランドが形成され、
インダクタ回路パターンが形成された前記第二の誘電体基板は、複数の誘電体基板のうち、第一の誘電体基板に最も近い位置に位置し、
インダクタ回路パターンとチップインダクタ用のランドが積層方向において互いに重ならないように位置決めされていることを特徴としている。

さらに、本発明の第2の発明によれば、フィルタ回路と、高周波スイッチング回路とを備え、高周波スイッチング回路のチョークコイル回路素子をチップインダクタとして誘電体積層構造体に搭載し、少なくともフィルタ回路の構成要素を誘電体積層構造体内に形成した高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールにおいて、前記誘電体積層構造体を形成する誘電体層の最上層にチップインダクタ用のランドが形成され、前記最上層とは別の層に形成される前記最上層に最も近いインダクタ回路パターンと前記最上層におけるチップインダクタ用のランドとが積層方向において互いに重ならないように位置決めされていることを特徴としている。

前記最上層とは別の層に形成される前記最上層に最も近いインダクタ回路パターンと前記最上層におけるチップインダクタ用のランドとが積層方向において互いに重ならないように位置決めされていることを特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、添付図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態について説明する。
図1には、本発明の一つの実施の形態による高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールの回路構成の一例を示している。SWは高周波スイッチング回路で、二つのダイオードD1、D2と、二つのインダクタL1、L2と、五つのコンデンサC1、C2、C3、C4、C5と、一つの抵抗R1とで構成されている。すなわち第1のダイオードD1のアノードは第1のコンデンサC1を介してローパスフィルタLPFを介して送信回路TXに接続され、第1のダイオードD1と第1のコンデンサC1との接続点は、チョークコイルとして作用する第1のインダクタL1と第2のコンデンサC2の直列回路を介して接地され、第1のインダクタL1と第2のコンデンサC2との間には制御端子VCが接続されている。また、第1のダイオードD1のカソードは一方では第3のコンデンサC3を介してアンテナ端子ANTに接続され、他方では第2のインダクタL2の一端に接続され、第2のインダクタL2の他端は第4のコンデンサC4を介して受信回路RXに接続される。第2のインダクタL2と第4のコンデンサC4との接続点は第2のダイオードD2と第5のコンデンサC5の直列回路を介して接地され、第5のコンデンサC5と並列に抵抗R1が接続されている。

高周波スイッチング回路SWと送信回路TXとの間に接続されたローパスフィルタLPFは、インダクタL3、L4とコンデンサC6〜C10から成り、これらの素子は図示したように接続されている。

このように構成した高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールの回路の動作において、制御端子VCに正の電圧を印加すると、第1のダイオードD1及び第2のダイオードD2は順方向にバイアスがかけられ、これらのダイオードは導通状態となる。それにより送信回路TXからの送信信号は、ローパスフィルタLPF、コンデンサC1、第1のダイオードD1及びコンデンサC3を介してアンテナANTから送信される。この場合、受信回路側に通じる回路は、第2のダイオードD2が導通状態にあるため第2のインダクタL2が接地され、従って送信回路TXからの送信信号は、受信回路RX側へは伝送されない。こうして送信状態が確立される。
一方、制御端子VCに負の電圧を印加すると、第1のダイオードD1及び第2のダイオードD2は逆方向にバイアスがかけられ、これらのダイオードは非導通状態となる。従ってアンテナANTからの受信信号は受信回路RXへ伝送され、こうして受信状態が確立される。

図2は、本発明の別の実施の形態によるデュアルバンド用として構成した高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールの回路構成を概略的に示す。図示アンテナスイッチは、フィルタLPF1、LPF2、スイッチ回路SW1、SW2及びダイプレクサDPなどから構成されており、GSM用送信部に接続される送信端子TX1、DCS用送信部に接続される送信端子TX2、GSM用受信部に接続される受信端子RX1、DCS用受信部に接続される受信端子RX2、アンテナに接続されるアンテナ端子ANT、制御部に接続される制御端子VC1、VC2、VC3、VC4、及び無線部の基準電位に接続されるアース端子GNDを備えている。

スイッチ回路SW2は、フィルタLPF2を通過した送信信号(DCS)をアンテナ端子ANTに出力するための信号経路、又はアンテナから受信した受信信号(DCS)をDCS用受信部に入力するための信号経路を切り換える機能を有するものであり、前述したスイッチ回路SW1とほぼ同様な構成から成っている。図示スイッチ回路SW2は、フィルタLPF2の次段に位置しており、結合コンデンサC6、C8、C9、バイパスコンデンサC7、C10、チョークコイルL3、インダクタL204、抵抗R2、高周波スイッチングダイオードD3、D4の回路素子から成っている。

アンテナスイッチモジュールの誘電体積層構造体は図示したように15層の誘電体基板1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10、11、12、13、14、15で構成されている。高周波回路基板を構成する各誘電体基板にはそれぞれ、図2に示す回路素子のうちスイッチ回路SW1における結合コンデンサC1、C3、C4、コンデンサC2、バイパスコンデンサC5、チョークコイルL1、抵抗R1及び高周波スイッチングダイオードD1、D2の回路素子、並びにスイッチ回路SW2における結合コンデンサC6、C8、C9、コンデンサC7、バイパスコンデンサC10、チョークコイルL3、抵抗R2及び高周波スイッチングダイオードD3、D4の回路素子を除くそれぞれの回路素子が対応した一つの又は複数の基板上に形成されている。

ところで、本発明では、スイッチ回路SW1におけるチョークコイルL1を形成するチップインダクタ素子及びスイッチ回路SW2におけるチョークコイルL3を形成するチップインダクタ素子は、少なくともその直ぐ下に位置する第14の誘電体基板14上の回路パターンの形成されてない部位上に位置するように最上層の誘電体基板15上に形成されたランド17、28上に配置される。言い換えれば、最上層の誘電体基板15上のチップインダクタ素子の配置領域に対応した第14の誘電体基板又は好ましくは第14の誘電体基板を含む複数の基板上の部位には回路パターンが位置しないようにされ、これにより、動作時に干渉などの悪影響を防止することができる。

すなわち、図5に示すように、スイッチ回路SW1におけるチョークコイルL1を形成するチップインダクタ素子及びスイッチ回路SW2におけるチョークコイルL3を形成するチップインダクタ素子を搭載するために最上層の誘電体基板15上に形成されたランド17、28の領域は、第14の誘電体基板14上に形成されたダイプレクサDPを構成するインダクタL106とは重ならないように形成されている。これにより、動作時にチップインダクタ素子L1、L3に流れる信号がダイプレクサDPを構成するインダクタL106に漏れることによるノイズの発生といった不具合や、チップインダクタ素子L1、L3とダイプレクサDPを構成するインダクタL106との干渉などの悪影響を防止することができる。

次に、誘電体積層構造体の製造について簡単に説明する。
まず、グリーンシートを用意し、必要な部位つまり上下に電気的に接続すべき部位に孔をあける。こうして孔のあけられた各グリーンシート上に、所定の回路素子の全部又は一部をAg又はAgPtを用いてスクリーン印刷法により印刷する。同時に各グリーンシートにおける各孔もAg又はAgPtを用いてスクリーン印刷法により孔埋めする。しかる後、それぞれのグリーンシートを積層し、そして燒結処理が施される。
その後、誘電体積層構造体の頂部に高周波スイッチング回路SW1及びSW2を構成する別個に用意したチップ素子が搭載され、そして図6に示すように個々のモジュールに切断されて完成される。

【発明の効果】
以上説明してきたように、高周波スイッチング回路のチョークコイル回路素子をチップインダクタとして搭載し、第一の誘電体基板と第二の誘電体基板とを含む複数の誘電体基板で構成される高周波回路基板において、第一の誘電体基板が前記高周波回路基板の表面を形成し、第一の誘電体基板の表面にチップインダクタ用のランドを形成し、インダクタ回路パターンが形成された第二の誘電体基板が、複数の誘電体基板のうち、第一の誘電体基板に最も近い位置に位置し、インダクタ回路パターンとチップインダクタ用のランドが積層方向において互いに重ならないように位置決めしたことにより、ノイズの発生や干渉などの悪影響を防止することができるようになる。

また、本発明による高周波用アンテナスイッチモジュールにおいては、誘電体積層構造体を形成する誘電体層の最上層にチップインダクタ用のランドを形成し、最上層とは別の層に形成される最上層に最も近い回路パターンと最上層におけるチップインダクタ用のランドとが積層方向において互いに重ならないように位置決めしているので、積層構造体のサイズを小型化できると共に、チョーク回路素子による干渉の影響を実質的に低減することができ、従って、携帯電話などの通信機器の小型軽量化に伴う機器内部における高周波スイッチのための収納容積の縮小に十分適合できる寸法をもちしかも安定した動作を保証できる高周波スイッチモジュールを提供できるようになる。

また、本発明による高周波スイッチモジュールは、デュアルバンド用として構成した場合も、同様に、誘電体積層構造体を形成する誘電体層の最上層にチップインダクタ用のランドを形成し、最上層とは別の層に形成される最上層に最も近い回路パターンと最上層におけるチップインダクタ用のランドとが積層方向において互いに重ならないように位置決めされているので、通信機器内に画定された収納容積の低減に適合できるだけでなく、チョーク回路素子による干渉の影響を実質的に低減することができ、高周波スイッチとして安定した動作を保証できる。
