Description
【0001】

As a result, the cream solder is applied after the legs of the shield case are inserted, so that the cream solder is not peeled off, and the amount of application is always constant and good soldering can be obtained.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a first step of manufacturing a parent substrate formed by connecting a plurality of child substrates having side electrodes, and a side surface of the child substrate adjacent after the first step. A second step of inserting the leg of the shield case into the hole formed by the electrodes, and a third step of applying cream solder to both the side electrode and the leg by a screen mask after the second step. A fourth step of soldering the side electrode and the leg after the third step, and a fifth step of cutting the child substrate from the parent substrate after the fourth step. In the method of manufacturing an electronic component comprising: a screen mask having holes provided at positions corresponding to the side electrode and the leg portion, and the side electrode and the leg portion using the screen mask in the third step. And the bottom of the side electrode In the manufacturing method of the electronic component to be applied to the part of the cream solder, the said shield case, by stamping in a die to form a burr, the shield case in the second step, the burr the said side electrodes A method of manufacturing an electronic component to be inserted in a direction in which a gap is formed between a leg portion and a cream solder in a third step after the leg portion of the shield case is inserted in the second step as described above. Since it is applied, the cream solder does not fall off, and a certain amount of cream solder is always applied. Therefore, good soldering can be obtained by performing reflow soldering in the fourth step thereafter. Moreover, because of the burr generated by punching out of the shield case, a gap is formed between the side electrode and the gap is filled with solder evenly by capillary action, so that the conduction resistance is reduced and strong adhesion is obtained. It is done.
[0009]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, the second side electrode is provided at the four corners of the sub-board, and the cream solder is applied to the second side electrode in the third step. In this way, the cream solder is applied to the side electrode in the third step and then soldered in the fourth step. Therefore, even if the child substrate is cut in the next fifth step, The second side electrode does not cause burrs or the like due to cutting. In addition, since the side electrodes are provided at the corners of the sub-board, even if the size of the sub-board is reduced, a sufficient distance between the electrodes can be obtained. Further, since the side electrodes are formed at the corners, the degree of freedom in designing the sub board is increased.
