BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling fuel injection into an internal combustion engine, and more particularly to a fuel injection control method and apparatus for performing pilot injection prior to main injection.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, for example, in a fuel injection control device for a diesel engine typified by a common rail type, pilot injection has been performed in order to reduce noise of an internal combustion engine, exhaust emission, and the like.
[0003]
This pilot injection is performed in order to inject a small amount of fuel prior to the main injection (main injection), and the ignition delay of the main injection due to the combustion heat of the small amount of fuel (time from when the fuel is injected until ignition occurs) This reduces the combustion at a stroke, thereby suppressing the noise of the internal combustion engine and NOx in the exhaust gas.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the operating state of the internal combustion engine is in a high rotation and high load region, or when the ignition delay of the fuel is originally short, such as an internal combustion engine with a turbocharger such as a turbocharger, normal pilot injection is performed. It was found that even if the operation was performed, it was not possible to suppress the single combustion of the main injection and NOx in the exhaust could not be reduced sufficiently.
[0005]
In such a case, the magnitude of the initial combustion amount greatly affects the generation of NOx, and the initial injection rate (the rate of change in the fuel supply amount with respect to time) is particularly high under conditions where fuel is injected at a high pressure. It becomes high and it becomes easy to generate NOx.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection control method and a fuel injection control device that can reliably suppress NOx in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine.
[0006]
[Means for solving the problems and effects of the invention]
In the fuel injection control method of the present invention,Fuel supplied from a pressure accumulating pipe that accumulates fuel at a high predetermined pressureInternal combustion engineFountainThe internal combustion engine is driven by opening the fuel injection valve.,With the main injection of fuel,The main injectionStop fuel injection before starting fuel injectionThe pilot injection is sequentially performed, but after the valve opening drive for pilot injection to the fuel injection valve is finished, before the fuel injection valve is fully closed, the main injection for the fuel injection valve that has performed the pilot injection is performed. Proximity drive control, such as starting the valve opening drive for injection and shifting the fuel injection valve in the valve opening direction, is performed when the internal combustion engine is operating at a specific rotational speed or higher and / or a specific load or higher. .
[0007]
According to this method, the main injection is started while the fuel injection amount by the pilot injection is decreasing. As a result, the injection rate waveform by the pilot injection and the injection rate waveform by the main injection The two injection waveforms are connected to each other without being separated as in the case of normal pilot injection. In other words, the pilot injection and the main injection are linked to form one injection that apparently reduces the initial injection rate of the main injection.
[0008]
Therefore, according to the fuel injection control method of the present invention, when the operating state of the internal combustion engine is in a high rotation and / or high load region, or in an internal combustion engine with a supercharger, the ignition delay of the fuel is originally short. Even in this case, the amount of combustion at the initial stage of the main injection can be reduced and the one-time combustion can be suppressed, and as a result, the NOx in the exhaust can be surely suppressed.
[0009]
In particular, according to the fuel injection control method of the present invention in which the proximity drive control described above is performed when the internal combustion engine is in an operation state of a specific rotational speed or higher and / or a specific load or higher, a greater effect can be obtained. Can be obtained. In other words, the ignition delay of the fuel is originally short, and the conventional normal pilot injection is NO. x When the operating state is a specific rotational speed or higher and / or a specific load or higher so that the reduction effect cannot be obtained, the proximity drive control unique to the present invention is performed, and the fuel ignition delay is long. NO with normal pilot injection x When the operating state is such that a reduction effect can be obtained, the control is switched such that normal pilot injection is performed, and NO in almost all operating regions of the internal combustion engine. x It is because it becomes possible to reduce.
The fuel injection control method of the present invention is a fuel injection control device that performs conventional normal pilot injection (that is, injection control in which the injection rate waveform by pilot injection and the injection rate waveform by main injection are completely separated). If there is, it can be easily implemented without changing the hardware configuration.
[0010]
That is, the injection interval between the pilot injection and the main injection, specifically, the time from the end of the valve opening drive for the pilot injection to the fuel injection valve to the start of the valve opening drive for the main injection to the fuel injection valve This is because it is only necessary to set the interval short.
[0012]
On the other hand, as a device for carrying out the fuel injection control method of the present invention, the following fuel injection control device can be considered.
That is,A pressure accumulating pipe for accumulating high predetermined pressure fuel, and a fuel of a predetermined pressure accumulated in the pressure accumulating pipe are supplied, and the supplied fuel isInternal combustion engineFountainFuel injection valve for shootingWhenThe fuel injection valve is driven to open, and the internal combustion engine is,With the main injection of fuel,The main injectionStop fuel injection before starting fuel injectionIn the fuel injection control device configured to sequentially execute pilot injection, the fuel injection control device includes operating state determination means for determining whether or not the internal combustion engine is in an operating state of a specific rotational speed or higher and / or a specific load or higher. After starting the valve opening drive for pilot injection to the fuel injection valve, before the fuel injection valve is fully closed, start the valve opening drive for main injection for the fuel injection valve that performed the pilot injection When the proximity driving control for shifting the fuel injection valve in the valve opening direction is affirmed by the operating state determining means (that is, the internal combustion engine is in an operating state at a specific rotational speed or higher and / or a specific load or higher). A fuel injection control device that is configured to execute when it is determined.
[0013]
And according to this fuel-injection control apparatus, the effect mentioned above by the fuel-injection control method of this invention can be acquired.
That is,In this fuel injection control device, an operation state determination unit for determining whether or not the internal combustion engine is in an operation state of a specific rotational speed or higher and / or a specific load or higher. In stepsIf more positive determination is madeIn addition,Execute the proximity drive controlFrom beforeAs described above, NOx can be reduced in almost all operation regions.
[0014]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The embodiment of the present invention is not limited to the following, and it goes without saying that various forms can be adopted as long as the injection system is capable of pilot injection as long as it belongs to the technical scope of the present invention. .

[0027]
Here, the region determined in S120 will be described.
According to an experiment conducted by the present inventor, as shown in FIG. 5, in a specific high rotation and high load region on a rotation speed-torque map showing the relationship between the rotation speed of the engine and torque (load). In the operation region RE where the ignition delay is long and the ignition delay is long, the normal pilot injection shown in FIG. 6 (that is, the injection rate waveform by the pilot injection is completely separated from the injection rate waveform by the main injection thereafter) has a NOx reduction effect. As can be seen, in the high rotation and / or high load region and the operation region RN where the ignition delay is originally short, it has been found that the effect of reducing NOx cannot be obtained by normal pilot injection.
[0028]
This is because the ignition delay is originally a short region, so the effect of reducing NOx by suppressing the premixed combustion by reducing the ignition delay is small, and the one-stroke combustion of the main injection performed after the pilot injection cannot be suppressed. is there. In such a case, the magnitude of the initial combustion amount greatly affects the generation of NOx. Therefore, especially under the condition of injecting fuel at a high pressure, the initial injection amount increases and a large amount of NOx is generated. This is particularly noticeable in turbocharged engines such as turbochargers and superchargers. In other words, in a turbocharged engine, the in-cylinder pressure and temperature that determine the ignition delay time are higher than in a naturally aspirated engine, and therefore the ignition delay is shortened in a region where the rotational speed and load are lower. .
[0029]
Therefore, in the present embodiment, in S120, from the actual engine speed Ne and the accelerator opening Acc corresponding to the load, the operation state of the

Here, the energization start timings TP1, TM1 and energization times TP2, TM2 set in S140 are referred to by other drive processing or timer circuit not shown. Then, by the drive process or the timer circuit, the drive pulse PP for pilot injection and the main injection are sent from the

Then, after executing the calculation process of S150, the process proceeds to S140, and the drive pulses are output with the energization start timings TP1, TM1 and the energization times TP2, TM2 for the ineffective area obtained in S150. The data is set in a predetermined storage area as data for that purpose, and then the process is temporarily terminated.

[0041]
If it is determined in S110 that the pilot injection is not performed, the process proceeds to S160, and only the energization start timing time TM1 and the energization time TM2 for main injection are calculated. Then, the process proceeds to S140, where the energization start timing TM1 and the energization time TM2 obtained in S160 are set as data for outputting a drive pulse, and then the process is temporarily terminated. For this reason, pilot injection is not performed and only main injection is performed.
[0042]
Here, when normal pilot injection was performed under conditions of high rotation and high load (about 3000 rpm, 100% load = accelerator fully open), pilot injection for an ineffective region peculiar to the present embodiment was performed. FIG. 8 shows the experimental results comparing the differences between the cases. FIG. 8 shows the relationship between NOx in the exhaust gas and fuel consumption. The dotted line a indicates the case where normal pilot injection is performed, and the solid line b indicates the case where pilot injection for the ineffective region is performed. ing.

As can be seen from FIG. 8, when the pilot injection for the ineffective region peculiar to the present embodiment is performed, both NOx and fuel consumption are reduced. The smoke level of the exhaust was the same.
