これを音響的に見ると、拡声用スピーカ15から発せられた受話音声が送話マイク17に回り込むときのERL(エコーリターンレベル:受話音が送話側に回り込む量で、絶対値ではなく受話経路の信号電気レベルと送話側に回り込んだ信号電気レベルの比で表わされる)とディレイタイム(受話音が送話側に回り込むまでの時間)が変動することになる。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mobile telephone.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As shown in FIG. 3, the mainstream of the case structure of mobile telephones has changed from the conventional straight type (non-deformation type) to the folding type (variable type). Although there is a trend in design, the mobile phone can be folded compactly from a technical point of view, so each functional module (large color Display, simple digital camera, etc.) can be easily installed and can be said to have a reasonable structure.
[0003]
However, the need for smaller and lighter mobile phones is still severe, and the demand for further enhancement of mobile phones does not stop, and various additional functions that were not necessary before will be installed one after another. As a result, it is necessary to arrange each functional module in the case, especially the one with a large volume (such as a board part such as a radio circuit / control circuit that satisfies the basic functions as a mobile phone, a display, a battery, a speaker, etc.) There are severe restrictions.
[0004]
Here, focus is placed on the audio microphone and the loudspeaker (which are used to play an incoming ringer sound or to loudly reproduce the received sound from the other party during a call), which are acoustic components. Ringer sounds that used to function using an electronic buzzer used to play a chord melody with rich musicality as mobile phones become more sophisticated. It became common sense to install. By using this loudspeaker in this flow, it is possible to use a mobile phone to make a call using a loudspeaker playback of a received sound, which could not be realized without using a general fixed telephone or a dedicated external connection speaker, on the mobile phone. It became possible to do. The technically important point in making this hands-free call is that the received sound reproduced from the loudspeaker speaker circulates to the transmitting side (the voice coming from the other party is heard back to the other party). In the worst case, howling is prevented, that is, echo canceling.
[0005]
As described above, there are always a lot of restrictions on the arrangement of each functional module mounted on a mobile telephone. Especially, a loudspeaker is large when a sufficient reproduction volume and a wide reproduction band are desired. Since it has a volume, its location is limited. An embodiment of the component arrangement of the folding mobile phone will be described. As shown in FIG. 4, the
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In recent years, echo canceling during a call is generally performed by signal processing by a digital signal processor (DSP). The principle will be briefly described with reference to FIG. 2. An echo picked up by the transmitting
[0007]
The echo canceling function is an echo canceling function based on DSP processing with high performance, but the allowable ERL value has a limit, and if there is a very large incoming voice wraparound, the echo cannot be completely erased. As described above, in the case of a foldable mobile phone, since there is a certain distance between the loudspeaker and the transmission microphone in the open state, it may be considered that the ERL value is low and the amount of echo remaining is small. . Therefore, there is often no need to perform a process for muting the transmission path. On the other hand, in the closed state, since the distance between the transmission microphone and the loudspeaker is reduced, the ERL value becomes high and the echo often remains, and the transmission path is often muted or processing close to that is required. Come. On the other hand, when viewing this cancellation process on the time axis, the delay time is an important factor for the echo cancellation process. If the delay time becomes long, the delay time is estimated in advance, and the anti-phase component in the echo canceller 2 must be slightly shifted by the delay operation of the
[0008]
In summary, if you try to make a hands-free call on a foldable mobile phone with a microphone on the bottom of the mobile phone and a loudspeaker on the top of the mobile phone, the mobile phone is open. In the closed state, the two conditions of “ERL value” and “delay time” fluctuate. When these two conditions are open, “ERL value is small, delay time is large”, and when the condition is closed, they are contradictory to “large ERL value, small delay time”. Therefore, in the mobile phone having the above structure, when the open state is estimated and the echo cancellation adjustment is performed, the echo cancellation adjustment is not performed in the closed state, and on the contrary, the echo cancellation adjustment is performed assuming the closed state. If this is done, the echo cancellation process will not be sufficient when opened. As a result, when realizing a hands-free call in a mobile telephone having the above structure, sufficient call quality cannot be obtained unless the specification is such that it operates only in either an open state or a closed state.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and provides a mobile phone capable of performing a hands-free call while maintaining the best call quality under each condition regardless of whether the housing is open or closed. The purpose is to do.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The first mobile phone of the present invention is a foldable type or a slide type that can open and close the casing, and the casing is connected to the upper end of the lower case so that the lower end of the upper case can rotate or slide freely. In a mobile telephone configured to have a loudspeaker disposed in the upper case and a transmission microphone disposed in the lower case , an echo is obtained by converting the signal on the receiving side to an opposite phase and adding it to the transmitting side. A first echo canceling means for erasing the echo, and a second echo canceling means for detecting the echo remaining unerased by the first echo canceling means and erasing the echo by adding a minus gain to the unerased component, The delay amount of the anti-phase component when adding the anti-phase component to the transmitting side by the first echo canceling means is prepared and stored in the memory when the case is closed and when the case is closed That means and, means for storing in the memory by two ready for the second echo canceling means and for housing closed negative gain level for time housing open, detection of detecting a closed state of the housing means and, at this time it detects a closed state before Kikatamitai by the detection means, the delay amount and the first and reads the level of the negative gain second echo cancellation means for said housing closed from the memory Control means for setting to the first and second echo canceling means during the hands-free call in the closed state, the delay amount for closing the casing and a negative gain. It is characterized by setting a level .
[0011]
As a preferred embodiment, the detection means further detects an open state of the casing, and the control means further detects when the casing is open from the memory when the detection means detects the open state of the casing. In the above embodiment, the echo that has not been erased by the first echo cancellation means 60 is suppressed and erased by the residual echo suppression means (second echo cancellation means 70). It is also possible to provide a mute means for muting the transmission path when the echo level exceeds a predetermined threshold value. In this case, the mobile telephone of the present invention provides two types of thresholds for the mute means: “for opening the case” and “for closing the case”. Switch and set the threshold value. The threshold value is set to “for when the casing is open”> “for when the casing is closed”. As a result, it becomes easy to mute when the casing is closed with a large ERL value and a very large echo amount, and the call quality can be maintained by muting. On the other hand, when the housing is opened with a low ERL value and an originally small echo amount, it becomes difficult to mute, and it is possible to maintain the call quality by continuing the transmission. The threshold value is stored in the
